Elevator wasn’t working. Did not received the complimentary champagne as advertised. Many area need new paint. Half the whirlpools didn’t work in spa area. This place needs new management asap. The overall experience felt like the management didn’t care and don’t understand the industry.

La primera vez que fui y es un lujo!! Bowling, ping pong, pool y mas juegos todo incluido con la estadia, mas actividades acuaticas, la comida un 10 muy buenos chef, el staff siempre atento nos trataron como reyes y me reconocieron el estado VIP de expedia entonces tuve una botella de Sparkling White Wine gratis. Volveria sin dudas

When I arrived and the room key did not work as well as the balcony door, it was broken. I was forced to pay taxes upon arrival which was not clear at the moment of the reservation, incurring in an extra cost not planned. Lastly, on the 18th my plan was to stay all day in the facility after check out, but I was advised that same day that due to a private event all facilities were closed. If I knew beforehand I wouldn’t have chosen this hotel, I lost a whole vacation day

La habitación muy grande con buen baño, cama enorme y cómoda. Pileta exterior necesita mayor limpieza y cuidado. El hotel hermoso pero le falta mantenimiento. Los sillones son viejos y se hunden al sentarse.La cena buena pero muy lento el servicio. La atención de Jesús en mesa de entrada excelente.

Very disappointed with a hotel that charges 500 USD the night. The beds are awfully soft and left me and my wife with back pain. The big pool is ice cold, even though the city had been in 30+ Celsius for several weeks (I heard from a friend it’s always like this). The facilities in general are worn out and need maintenance ASAP (the pool that has mosaic tiles had an impressive amount of tiles missing). Also, there should be small tables by the lounges in the pool to put stuff or even food or drinks and there is none. The room which is huge had a small tv proportionally to the wall. The stuff is friendly, but there is a lack of training and corporate treatment. They all seem to be doing things differently without a corporate homogeneous, uniform way of acting with guests. The kayak experience is lame, as they only let you paddle for about 150m, because the rest of the lagoon is restricted. There’s a general sense of poor service, I.e. the bathroom near the pool had no soap. And they charge you in USD, and convert it to pesos at their own rate, which ends up being more expensive than anyone can plan. It should be the other way around. Again, very dissatisfied.

El entorno es muy bonito, no obstante creo que le falta mantenimiento (perdió el esplendor de años atrás). La habitación no tenía amenities (sólo dejan toallas y jabón) y si necesitas algo extra hay que pedirlo aparte. Al manipular la ducha se salía el grifo, estaba vencido. Si bien el exterior es muy bonito, está limitado para hacer actividades aeróbicas porque cerraron el barrio, por ende queda muy acotado. Por último el desayuno es variado y bueno pero faltaba personal en hora pico y había una fila de más de 40 personas esperando porque las mesas vacías no estaban listas. El recepcionista se ocupaba de recibir a la gente y limpiar las mesas al mismo tiempo.

Está muy venido abajo. El servicio es malo, fuimos con tres parejas un jueves y no tienen nadie que atienda en el Pool bar, ni siquiera alguien que atienda en el área piscina. Si querías un trago había que ir al restaurant muy incómodo. Se cortó la luz. Cenamos en el restaurant y el servicio era malo y la comida no era rica, y encima carísimo. No vale lo que cobran.

Faltó servicio de todo tipo dada la categoría y costo del hotel. El servicio de limpieza golpeo la puerta de nuestra habitación 9am para ver si la podían limpiar, nunca nos pasó esto... que nos despertaran para limpiar. El balcón de la habitación estaba muy sucio, los sillones rotos y falto de decoración.
Faltó servicio de todo tipo dada la categoría y costo del hotel. I planned a one-night, romantic getaway with my wife, but Sofitel had other plans. First, this is supposed to be a 4 star resort, yet nobody greeted or open the door to welcome us. Upon check in, I asked about a restaurant for a romantic dinner. The front desk strongly suggested the hotel’s. After we checked in, they let us know our room was not ready yet and would be a few minutes. I thought that meant they were preparing it for our stay. 45 minutes later, we were given our room. Inside, it was hot - over 28 degrees. Immediately, I turned on the air conditioning to cool it down. The room was also a bit dirty. Clearly, not up to standards. After a half hour, the room had not cooled down, so we called the front desk. They told us to wait 20 minutes more and call back. We left and came back an hour later… still hot. We contacted the front desk again and they sent maintenance up to fix it. Which they somewhat did. It worked, but not well. A few hours later, we went down for our romantic dinner. The restaurant was brightly lit and there were children at every table. Plus, it was a buffet with a choice of four dishes. The cost of dinner was right about what I planed to spend for a nice, romantic dinner. Not for a buffet surrounded by kids running around. The dinner could not have been less romantic and we could not have been more misled. That night, the room was warm and stuffy and neither of us slept well.

Estuvo bien,pero el cubre colchón en horrible estado,lleno de manchas de vaya a saber que…en realidad si se de que.pero se lavan,se pueden cambiar.cortina de ventana del baño rota,y la habitación que era de las q estaba mas sobre la ruta,se sentía los camiones y vehículos horriblemente!

La habitación muy grande con buen baño, cama enorme y cómoda. Pileta exterior necesita mayor limpieza y cuidado. El hotel hermoso pero le falta mantenimiento. Los sillones son viejos y se hunden al sentarse.La cena buena pero muy lento el servicio. La atención de Jesús en mesa de entrada excelente.

Very disappointed with a hotel that charges 500 USD the night. The beds are awfully soft and left me and my wife with back pain. The big pool is ice cold, even though the city had been in 30+ Celsius for several weeks (I heard from a friend it’s always like this). The facilities in general are worn out and need maintenance ASAP (the pool that has mosaic tiles had an impressive amount of tiles missing). Also, there should be small tables by the lounges in the pool to put stuff or even food or drinks and there is none. The room which is huge had a small tv proportionally to the wall. The stuff is friendly, but there is a lack of training and corporate treatment. They all seem to be doing things differently without a corporate homogeneous, uniform way of acting with guests. The kayak experience is lame, as they only let you paddle for about 150m, because the rest of the lagoon is restricted. There’s a general sense of poor service, I.e. the bathroom near the pool had no soap. And they charge you in USD, and convert it to pesos at their own rate, which ends up being more expensive than anyone can plan. It should be the other way around. Again, very dissatisfied.

I appreciate the helpful efforts of Matias and Antonella from the staff. However, I faced several issues during my stay, including a lack of privacy due to the bathroom window without a curtain. The non-functional air conditioning, absence of mirrors outside the bathroom, and an inconvenient room change to a lower-class triple room were disappointing. Additionally, the persistent key card problems further impacted my experience. Considering these issues, I found the hotel not worthy of its price and would not recommend it.

Quiero agradecer al hotel por la excelente atención y el servicio impecable. Desde el primer momento, todo el personal fue muy amable, atento y siempre dispuesto a ayudar en lo que necesitáramos. La recepción nos recibió con una sonrisa y gran predisposición, y cada persona, desde los mozos hasta quienes trabajan en las distintas áreas, demostraron una calidad humana admirable. Se nota que trabajan con dedicación y cariño, haciendo que la estadía sea cómoda y agradable. ¡Un placer haberme hospedado aquí, sin dudas lo recomiendo !

We have stayed here several times, this one was the last one, not coming back. VERY bad service, the room was not even ready, poorly maintained, none of our requests were taken into account, we were charged so much more than our reservation. Price-quality is a joke. There were unwarned construction going on, no even table lamps on the room, no spa access, all the common areas are closed ridiculously early and so on…very far from what it used to be. I do not recommend this place anymore, stay somewhere else where the customers matter.

El checking era a las 3:00 de la tarde y nos dieron la habitación 5:30. La reserva era para seis personas y nos querían dar una habitación para cuatro y cobrar el desayuno Aparte. El personal de recepción muy mal predispuesto y faltando mucho respeto haciendo caras y gestos desafortunados. Inconcebible de pensar que tengamos una habitación con dos camas cuando éramos tres así todo no lo entendían y jamás estuvieron dispuestos a solucionar la situación aún así cuando le dije que uno iba a dormir en el piso. Que hicimos hablar con el manager y nos dijeron que no estaba cuando sí.

Está muy venido abajo. El servicio es malo, fuimos con tres parejas un jueves y no tienen nadie que atienda en el Pool bar, ni siquiera alguien que atienda en el área piscina. Si querías un trago había que ir al restaurant muy incómodo. Se cortó la luz. Cenamos en el restaurant y el servicio era malo y la comida no era rica, y encima carísimo. No vale lo que cobran.

Todo estuvo muy bien hasta que llego el momento del pago ya que Expedia me informo un precio final por noche (de usd193) final $386 pero cuando fui a pagar desde el hotel me dicen que falta el iva cuando el precio era final en ningun lado decia mas impuestos excepto en la letra bien pero bien chiquita, me sentí engañada!!! ES UN ENGAÑO AL CLIENTE!!! Deberían poner en el precio final mas iva. La estadia que estuve bien despues te quitan las ganas de volver. De hecho si resevaba por el hotel cuando llame al final terminaba saliendo mas barato.

Fui con mi mamá de 89 años, la piscina interior es chica, el alrededor de la misma también. El entorno es muy bonito, no obstante creo que le falta mantenimiento (perdió el esplendor de años atrás). La habitación no tenía amenities (sólo dejan toallas y jabón) y si necesitas algo extra hay que pedirlo aparte. Al manipular la ducha se salía el grifo, estaba vencido. Si bien el exterior es muy bonito, está limitado para hacer actividades aeróbicas porque cerraron el barrio, por ende queda muy acotado. Por último el desayuno es variado y bueno pero faltaba personal en hora pico y había una fila de más de 40 personas esperando porque las mesas vacías no estaban listas. El recepcionista se ocupaba de recibir a la gente y limpiar las mesas al mismo tiempo.

I planned a one-night, romantic getaway with my wife, but Sofitel had other plans. First, this is supposed to be a 4 star resort, yet nobody greeted or open the door to welcome us. Upon check in, I asked about a restaurant for a romantic dinner. The front desk strongly suggested the hotel’s. After we checked in, they let us know our room was not ready yet and would be a few minutes. I thought that meant they were preparing it for our stay. 45 minutes later, we were given our room. Inside, it was hot - over 28 degrees. Immediately, I turned on the air conditioning to cool it down. The room was also a bit dirty. Clearly, not up to standards. After a half hour, the room had not cooled down, so we called the front desk. They told us to wait 20 minutes more and call back. We left and came back an hour later… still hot. We contacted the front desk again and they sent maintenance up to fix it. Which they somewhat did. It worked, but not well. A few hours later, we went down for our romantic dinner. The restaurant was brightly lit and there were children at every table. Plus, it was a buffet with a choice of four dishes. The cost of dinner was right about what I planed to spend for a nice, romantic dinner. Not for a buffet surrounded by kids running around. The dinner could not have been less romantic and we could not have been more misled. That night, the room was warm and stuffy and neither of us slept well.

Esperábamos más de una propiedad Sofitel: bastante deficiente en la oferta gastronómica: había sólo un restaurant disponible y la calidad de la comida y de los tragos muy mala y cara. Lo mismo para la comida del Room Service. La alternativa es ir a un restaurant italiano cerca de la propiedad que tampoco es bueno. Lo único bueno en lo gastronómico era la calidad de los panificados. Por todos lados hay detalles de mantenimiento y limpieza algo deficientes en la propiedad. Es bastante malo e inestable el Wifi. En lo positivo: muy cómoda la habitación, la cama, el baño. Nos tocó un lindísimo balcón con vista al lago. Lamentablemente todos los canales de la TV estaban traducidos al español y no estaba programado para elegir idioma original y el staff no nos pudo ayudar con esto. El staff en general fue muy agradable, muy atento y servicial. Nos hicieron unos masajes excelentes en el spa y muy linda la experiencia del remo en piragua por el lago.

the hotel is excellent, the cleanliness and maintenance very good, swimming pool and landscape amazing, however the food is expensive and average, you can spend almost an hour just to get one sandwich, and don't have food service in the swimming pool. the restaurant is very poor, however The SPA even though a little bit expensive is Outstanding

Está muy venido abajo. El servicio es malo, fuimos con tres parejas un jueves y no tienen nadie que atienda en el Pool bar, ni siquiera alguien que atienda en el área piscina. Si querías un trago había que ir al restaurant muy incómodo. Se cortó la luz. Cenamos en el restaurant y el servicio era malo y la comida no era rica, y encima carísimo. No vale lo que cobran.

We have stayed here several times, this one was the last one, not coming back. VERY bad service, the room was not even ready, poorly maintained, none of our requests were taken into account, we were charged so much more than our reservation. Price-quality is a joke. There were unwarned construction going on, no even table lamps on the room, no spa access, all the common areas are closed ridiculously early and so on…very far from what it used to be. I do not recommend this place anymore, stay somewhere else where the customers matter.
