Lewis' Cottage - Woodland Retreat Near Ohiopyle

Everything was in great working condition and was just what we wanted. Hot tub was great and had plenty of space for fires. My only complaint was that there was no sponge to clean dishes, which made a simple job very frustrating when trying to leave.

Clean, easy check in and out. Plenty of room for 4 with hot tub! We loved it!

nice and private. enjoyed our stay. Used hot tub but not outdoor fire pit. Indoor fire stove not working. It was clean and had basic amenities for our stay. Some of the window blinds were missing or not working properly.

The hot tub was perfect! The view from the hot tub is nothing short of breathtaking (especially in the fall). The cottage was clean and neat. The only reasons I didn't give 5 stars are incidental and mainly because it appears more secluded than it really is. It's not crowded by any means so you do have privacy. Beautiful property.

The inside of the cabin was clean and had all we needed. The outside of the cabin needs a little tlc. We happened to be there when it was both warm and cool outside. The air conditioners worked fine, but the space heaters were a bit confusing. We were comfortable. It was in a great location for the bike trails and town. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved the cabin. It was was very clean. The weather didn't cooperate with us so the back was very nice to sit and relax on. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. Would definitely stay again.

I guess I should have know when the ad said rustic. What is should have said is rundown and in need of major renovations and updates! The noise generated by the dehumidifier having to run and window ac was awful. Upon entering the property it had a musty smell…When we arrived there was no ac in the King bedroom, thankfully the management had that taken care of the next day. There was no lock on the front door after you entered the closed in porch, there were only 3 chairs not 4 as in the pictures. The Xfinity satellite box did not work. The spa was inoperable. KUDOS to Eric. He is a great employee and worked tirelessly to solve our ac, satellite issue by providing a YouTube TV account, fixing the spa, putting a lock on the key on the front door, chairs for the porch and table issues. You need to make sure that you do everything you can to keep him employed by your company he took care to make sure we were satisfied with theThe place was dirty…floors corners of the rooms, cobwebs that my wife cleaned up, the vacuum cleaner did a poor job of picking up any dust or dirt. She later found the vacuum stuffed full of dirt in the tubing which stopped the vacuum from sucking. She removed the clog.The shower head needs replaced the water flow is barely above a trickle. The sink in the bathroom has a bad faucet and has been leaking for some time, we had to keep a towel on the left side to contain the water. The bottom inside of one of more but could not post. We had a great quiet stay in the woods with a relaxing hot tub! Highly recommend.

Very nice property. Close to Ohiopyle, winery's and various historical sites. The only thing in not giving this property 5 stars for cleanliness was, the hot tub water was cloudy and the filter needed replaced. Other than that, great place, very quiet!

Property was very clean and well maintained. The pictures were very accurate. Stayed in winter time for a short get away. Back deck and hot tub was wooded and private. Overall great place to stay.

I really enjoyed this property it was accommodating. It was clean, smelled nice and the bed was comfortable the only problem was that the outside lights didn’t work so it was pitch black and a bit scary

We stayed at the cabin for a weekend getaway. The house was very clean and organized. The mattress was comfortable. We didn’t do any cooking so I’m not sure how the kitchen was stocked. The hot tub appears to be well maintained and worked fine. Overall recommend!

We were awakened by the one neighbor cutting his grass at 7:30am. Considering our quiet time was from 9pm to 9am, I felt we should have been accorded the same courtesy. One of the lamps had no on/off button and had to be unplugged to turn off. The gas grill had no propane. The bedroom and kitchen windows didn't locked, the inside door had no lock. I was not overly impressed. I may rent again from Ohiopyle Vacation Rentals but I will do a more thorough research first. Many of the issues such as the issues with the windows I saw in a previous review. The problems clearly were not addressed.

The property was beautiful. The cabin was very rustic and had an amazing old fashioned feel to it. We had a great time.

Overall this is a great little home nested in woods on the top of the mountain. No cell phone signal (AT&T), but that's not a bad thing! WIFI worked perfectly so we were able to do any online communications/work that needed to be done. 2 Window AC units kept the place nice and cool even though it was pretty warm during the day. The hot tub was nice during the cool evenings. The bed was super comfortable as well. But, there are a few safety concerns that could easily be fixed.... The windows in the one bedroom and kitchen do not lock and can be easily opened from the outside if someone wanted to. The door to the main house doesn't have any lock at all, but the main entry door to the foyer does. However the storm door barely latches and the only lock on the main entry door is the touch pad for entry and it is very lose and wobbly on the door and needs to be tightened. Overall not a bad stay and the window/door locks should be able to be fixed easily.

The pipes at Lewis cottage were frozen, the rental company contacted us before we arrived to tell us, and upgraded us to a much bigger rental with the same amenities. Cannot comment on Lewis cottage but the upgraded house “mountain majesty” was very nice. Great communication from the rental company.

I was a beautiful, quiet, relaxing trip. It was nice to stay in a place with a rustic old fashion theme. It reminded me of my childhood with my grandparents. Thank you.

Lewis Cottage is just what we were looking for. A simple quiet cabin in the woods but an easy 20 min drive to anything you would need. The two person hot tub was the best way to unwind after the day of exploring. Would most definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time staying here... this location was great to travel to the different places that we wanted to explore... it was nice and peaceful...we will definitely recommend this place to others.

Great location! This was our second time staying here and it is just the cutest and best location. Highly recommend.
