White Hart, Andover by Marston's Inns

Room was a good size as was the bathroom. Decor in room was in poor condition but it was habitable and bed a good size. Unfortunately there was a private party downstairs with a disco so noisy until midnight. Car Parking is very limited so get there early for a space!

Parking poor,building in need of repairs,stairs narrow,uneven,bedroom window sash not operating fully,In need of lots of TLC !!!!!!That said food good,breakfast very good.Cook very good staff all were attentive and courteous and very helpful, let down a lot by the general condition…….

We stayed here for a night so we could visit Stonehenge in the morning. It was a great little hotel. The amenities were clean and comfortable. The pillows were surprisingly quite nice. It was very good all around, especially for the price. I would definitely stay here again. Some things to note: the parking area fills quickly, so finding a parking space is a little tricky, at times. Additionally, there are A LOT of stairs throughout the building. To get from Reception to Room #01, we had to wind up and down a combination of 40-50 stairs to make it to our room (which was a little rough on my elderly father).

Classic British Pub/Inn in the center of town. Nice to have parking and. breakfast included.

Friendly staff. Good value for money with parking and breakfast included. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Ideal position in the town centre.

Be warned there’s a lot of stairs up to the rooms but a very quaint English pub with great atmosphere and good food

The hotel is in the centre of Andover with a small car park. The rooms are a bit tired in decor and with all the appliances being hard wired in there are only two power points by the door, which are obviously no where near the bed. There was a band one night followed by karaoke, which didn't disturb me however other residents were commenting on the noise. Similarly, as you are overlooking the road, traffic and revellers could be an issue. Food was OK, but as I was working, I ordered on the APP and things seemed to keep getting missed. Hotel Manageress was most helpful. I had initially made a two night booking and then had to add an additional night, requesting the same room for the three nights. However this had been overlooked and the receptionist said I would have to check out and take my bags and then re-check in for the evening. Annoyingly, I was given the same room! So was offered a complimentary dinner by way of compensation, which was appreciated. Bed was comfy, and room was clean, just in need of redecorating and bathroom being updated.

Parking was very tight, definitely secure, register your number plate at reception desk, very easy.I didn't have breakfast as needed to leave early for Bath. We did have a 3 course meal the previous evening. * Must say the Chef is very good, Everything was home made, great presentation, taste, value for money, will definitely be returning in the future,as it's an ideal stop over for visiting my family in Wells.

The room was clean and spacious. I ate in the evening and ordered via the QR code link. The food came out quickly, was of good quality and was inexpensive. Would stay again.

Very clean, nice size rooms, very friendly staff

people was nice checking was easy. The place was completely tired. Carpets were filthy. Bathroom had no pressure. Whole place just needs lots of money spending on it.

There was what can only be described as a urine coloured liquid in the kettle, the cileings and walls are disgusting the whole building is in disrepair and theres pidgeon nests on very window ledge, the beds where hard and uncomfortable, there was now plug sockets near anywhere useful and there was disturbing looking stains on the walls the shower was decent tho

Room had all the essentials but is tired. Bathroom ceiling looks really bad. It looks like there has been a water leak in the roof. Dispenser over bath is broken. When squeezed to get shower gel it falls in the bath. Ni hot water this morning. Apparently they are awaiting a boiler part.

Staff availability was shockingly poor and facilities/room were in disrepair. Upon arrival (1700hrs), I was unable to locate any staff at the reception desk or bar. I waited for several minutes before another patron offered to help, entering the kitchen to engage the staff there. After being directed to wait again at reception, I was told by another patron that “looking for staff here is like trying to get blood from a stone” - not promising. After checking in, hallways and room have seemingly not been updated in 20 years although all was fairly clean. Ceiling in room literally peeling off with a large tile hanging down over the bed. Toilet seat heavily scratched, many years old and obviously well used. Mattress very yellowed, although overall the bed was very comfortable (possibly due to age). In the morning, my husband and I headed down to the breakfast but were completely ignored by the single member of staff who saw us and walked into the kitchen as we arrived, and never came back or acknowledged us at all. With no signage, no staff, and no clean tables, after awkwardly standing/looking around, we eventually helped ourself to a piece of toast and sat at the only available table across the pub away from the breakfast area. Still no staff. Had we wanted the fried breakfast, we would not have had the chance to order as we were never actually greeted or acknowledged although others seemed to have this. Overall, the Cat was the most present member of staff throughout.

A all round disappointing stay, I was under the impression with it classing its self as a marston inn it would have the same standards as the other places iv stayed with in that franchise and was looking forward to my stay. This was not the case, the room was outdated and drab, with a strange drain like smell throughout, ripped chairs, curtains that didn’t meet in the middle. The bathroom was dark, maybe to hide the black mould on the tiles and stains everywhere.

The room was dirty the bathroom floor. Mould on the blind. Broken toliet seat. Room inneed to repairs. We didn't stick around for breakfast. But the food here is very good.

Feels like going in a dungeon. Excellent bed but everything else is ancient. Carpet is aged needs a fresh new one.

The staircase to our room is winding, and I need to go up and down before arriving at my room. The wall is thin and is not very sound proof, so I can hear what next door's saying and TV noise. It could be disturbing to someone during time for bed. There could be some seepage at the bath tub as there was a pool of water on the toilet floor after my shower, even though there was a glass door to stop water from splashing over to the floor. The car park is conveniently placed. The English breakfast is nice. The location is good as there is supermarket nearby and a nice Turkish restaurant next to it.

A standard pub hotel, guess it used to be a coaching house. Rooms massive, comfortable, clean and quiet. Bathroom had a large corner bath with powerful shower over. Bonus of discount offered to guests in the restaurant. All in all a decent place. just another old building so don't expect modern build, this has character

1617 era, Its old but stylish for its age. The only negative would be no WiFi

Just needed a bed for the night and evening meal. The pub grub was lovely, the room and bathroom were large, there was a sofa in the window alcove which was nice, didn't have a view but it is in the town centre!

Although the room was spacious and the bed was comfort was OK. Out was all very tired and a bit shabby. In desperate need of a full refurb. To cap it off I was woken in the night by rain dripping INSIDE the old dash windows!! I would have mentioned this at checkout but all they have is a key drop. I wonder why??

Room 4! Wow that floor has some slope on it. Room was lovely and clean. Sad shower though. Couldn’t stop the water leaking under the screen. Had to use a large towel on the floor to stop the water running out the door. Great breakfast. Sadly the coffee still not working since our stay weeks ago.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Hottest weekend of the year to date, so rooms did not get cool and in the morning were much hotter than outside temp. Fans were provided, but little or no help. Hotel a bit shabby and showing its age throughout.

Great place to stay if you are looking for a pub with rooms rather than a corporate hotel. The room was large, the staff were great and the food was good honest value for money pub grub. I haven't stayed anywhere else that gives this good value for money. This is the second time i have stayed and will be back again. I even got regaled with ghost stories about the White Hart....beware room 23 ;) Thanks to all the staff that make the effort to give a very warm welcome and stay.

Great friendly team, place is quirky but rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, grear choice and good quality. All in all I would recommend and will stay again. Free parking is a bonus.

Long story coming so buckle up. First and smallest of complaints was the room was sweltering with no way to turn the radiator off as it was broken and the window only opened a crack. Reception just said they can't get maintenance out until the morning, sorry and there might be a fan in the room. Found this, turned on but was already sweating sitting there (in Jan) so had to go out for the eve instead of relaxing after a day's work as planned as room was unbearable. It was then when I left the room that I realised that the door wouldn't lock and nothing I tried worked to fix it. Again to reception (who was chatting with someone just off shift in the bar) reception just stared blankly at me and person off shift says 'oh is that room _? The cleaners this morning mentioned something about that' . When I asked if there were any other rooms I was informed that the last 2 were booked out earlier today (so after someone knew about lock and a week after I booked). They offered a refund which I said was a given but where am I going to sleep tonight, they then said because I had booked through Hotels.com that I couldn't get a refund here and needed to go through them. No effort was made to ensure I actually had somewhere to sleep and I was left having to find another hotel room which ended up being the last room going in the whole town. Now I've just been told the hotel have 'denied the waiver for the reservation' so no useable, no stay and no refund. Absolutely disgusting just avoid.

Another town centre hotel in desperate need of a refurbishment. Whole place has a shabby feel to it. Really odd layout of random chairs and tables make the public area confused and uninviting. Only good thing was breakfast served by someone who made you feel like an intruder. The fire door wedged open by my room was not good.

Service was rude. They tried to scam us with not refunding us our food money when asked as we didn’t receive our food.

The room was okay. I did not eat or drink here. The manager was very rude. I asked the person on the reception where to park, he asked the manager who was stood nearby. The manager did not acknowledge me and started to give the reception the directions for the carpark. I explained that as I was stood there he could just explain directly to me. He then did this but was very rude. I stayed in a nearby hotel the following night which was much more customer focussed.

Booking stated breakfast included. Had to pay for lukewarm breakfast as told Marstons had changed their policy AFTER we had booked. Surely should have honoured this and included breakfast.anyway it was not warm and staff couldn't care less

Dated, run down and dirty. Food not up to much & wine glasses filthy (lipstick and grubby). Carpets throughout worn & dirty. Hole in our bedroom wall, Paint falling off the ceiling into the bath and radiator rusty and painted over. Breakfast poor quality and no yoghurt/berries as listed. Loud and noisy.

This property is very old and I liked the uneven creaky floors. The bed was very comfortable and clean. Parking was free. However my meal was tasteless and the garlic bread was cold and soggy. Continental breakfast was uninspiring.

The place was excellent. Staff were excellent food was excellent.

The staff at this place go above and beyond for you. Breakfast is really good. I will stay here again sometime.
