City Inn Russell Square

Had everything we needed for our single night stay, comfortable bed, teas/coffees etc. Location was close to British museum and easy 25 min walk to Covent Garden. Average rating mainly because it was a good middle of the road accommodation. Would use again.

Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Hôtel très bien situé à moins de 10 min à pieds de la gare. Bon ce n'est pas le grand luxe, c'est assez bruyant aussi bien à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur avec une insonorisation très approximative. Mais cela reste très correct. Les points forts : le prix, la qualité du lit, la propreté. Il annonce la possibilité de laisser les valises gratuitement mais je vous le déconseille. Elles seront stockées dans les couloirs sans surveillance.

I read the comments about the drainage and unfortunately when we got there, the cleaners had forgot to put the plug over the shower drain so the room did not smell particularly pleasing. On the ground floor and the windows are very old, so you do hear a lot of noise from outside. If it had been a lower nightly rate, I might have been inclind to give a higher rating, but for the price I paid, I regret not booking an Hilton for an extra £35.

Seems that the tube runs under the property so don’t hope for a sleep in. Can hear noise from other people in stairs and rooms. If you go out write down the code to the front door in case your phone is lost / stolen / dies on you. Cheap and convenient for a night stop

Good sized room, fridge was a bonus, clean and great location.
