King's Head Hotel By Greene King Inns

The hotel is ideally located in the centre of Wimborne making many attractions and places of interest in the town easily accessible on foot. The hotel’s free car park is a plus but one has to be careful to take the right road to reach the car park because most roads in the town centre are one way streets. The hotel breakfast was excellent.

Stayed one night room was clean but dated. Didn't eat at the property had drinks at the bar which had a good atmosphere. Room Didn't match up to expectations

Well below expectations allowing for the fact that this is a 200 year old property. We were in a small top floor room which was difficult to access with luggage despite there being an antique lift to get to the second floor. It still required negotiating stairs and numerous fire doors. The room itself was stiflingly hot. Obviously no air-conditioning, the wooden casement window only opened about 10cm (for safety reasons). The manager advised there was an electric fan in the wardrobe which he kindly offered to set up. Notwithstanding the fan the room was uncomfortably hot for our one night stay. The shower over bath with a dreaded nylon shower curtain did not encourage multiple showers.The included breakfast was good and the staff were very pleasant & obliging.

Reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, quiet, nice little town and a great location for visiting local attractions.

Property condition was very dated and tired and needed a lot of maintainence.
