The grounds of the property were beautiful and great that it is dog friendly! Unfortunately, due to noisy neighbours in the early hours of the morning (1am - 4am) and very thin walls/doors none of my group had a good night sleep at all! Spa facilities were a little outdated but very nice to have on site! I personally would not stay here again, but there were good aspects to the property.

My husband enjoyed the sauna but said the steam room was extremely hot. Overall it was an ok stay but we wouldn’t return.

This was our second stay at Elfordleigh, set in beautiful grounds andvery convenient for plymouth yet you feel you are in the country. Food is lovely and plenty of it . Staff at Elfordleigh were very friendly and accommodating even letting us use new showers in the golf block after we checked out so we were refreshed fot the theatre show. Pool and spa area was also very good.Really enjoyed are stay and we will definitely be back

Professional friendly staff. Pool, steam room and sauna were beautiful. The grounds are amazing. I was unlucky with the guest in the neighbouring room who began loud conference calls at 9am meaning that I checked out early. Pity.

Unfortunately the heating is on a time clock and room and bathroom where freezing , no point having a heated towel rail if the heating is off , i was offerd a heater but that woukdnt help the bathroom , also the walls / property allow noise, staff where friendly,helpful and apolgetic

The hotel is in a beautiful location. Lively views from our room and peaceful. Our family room (number 35) was perfect for us and our two boys, with plenty of space and separte areas and TVs for adults and children. We ordered room service, which arrived promptly and of cery good quality. There were able to cater for a gluten-free diet with no issue. Breakfast was limited, with a small continental buffet and a basic cooked breakfast buffet. It would have been nice to see more local produce on the menu and more gluten-free options (even more packaged cakes, breads etc would have been better). Overall a great place to stay and we will definitely return

Car parking was ok, right outside the hotel but limited spaces. Warm friendly welcome, despite a small issue with pre-payment not initially recognised. Hotel was quite busy with a wedding on but this didn’t seem to impact our stay, no loud music. It was VERY warm, thankfully a fan was provided in the room. Dinner was delicious, service times were reasonably quick and took notice of dietary requirements. We were presented with the wrong bill but this was quickly resolved. Food and drink prices were average for a hotel. Breakfast was a good self-service selection of hot and cold food including bacon, sausages, fried eggs, cereals, yoghurt, pastries etc and the obligatory toast-furnace! Only downside was that some guests outside our room (which overlooked the bar outside seating area) were quite loud early in the morning and this led to a disturbed sleep - if you’re booking here I’d recommend asking for a room at the back of the hotel away from the bar.

This was our second stay at Elfordleigh, set in beautiful grounds andvery convenient for plymouth yet you feel you are in the country. Food is lovely and plenty of it . stunning hotel and location, such a shame I did t get to fully enjoy the facilities. I would have loved to of used the spa on site but I arrived too late. the room was huge with a lovely view of the golf course, the bathroom was dated bit huge and water pressure was good, would of been nice to have some bubble bath. The only small criticism would be that service was slow at reception and breakfast, breakfast wasn’t very well advertised. all good and drinks I had were great though and the staff were friendly.

The hotel is in a beautiful location. Lively views from our room and peaceful. Our family room (number 35) was perfect for us and our two boys, with plenty of space and separte areas and TVs for adults and children. We ordered room service, which arrived promptly and of cery good quality. There were able to cater for a gluten-free diet with no issue. Breakfast was limited, with a small continental buffet and a basic cooked breakfast buffet. It would have been nice to see more local produce on the menu and more gluten-free options (even more packaged cakes, breads etc would have been better). I stayed here for 4 nights during a work trip to Plymouth. I wanted some peace & quiet after long stressful working days. The hotel took longer than I expected to reach from the city centre, especially in rush hour traffic. I am conflicted over that as I have loved my stay, but I haven’t liked the morning & evening commute. I moved rooms twice in my four night stay. Once at my request as the room was small & very overlooked.. I was moved to a larger, quieter room with more privacy & a much nicer bathroom. Then I got moved again as I requested an extra night & the room I had been moved to wasn’t available although other rooms were. What I have most adored is the beautiful terrace to the rear of the hotel overlooking the golf course and a magnificent landscaped grounds. If you’re a tree lover, you’ll be in tree heaven. If you like wildlife, you’ll adore spotting deer. House Martins were flitting through the sky. It’s a remarkably tranquil place, even with golfers out on the course.
