A nice quiet place, which has a standard motel building and well-maintained and roomy older cottages - some single, some duplexes - one of which we stayed in. Our cottage suite had a step down through French doors into the bedroom, meaning the inevitable lowlight wee hours trip to the bathroom involves a step up on the way and a step down on the way back. (Thus a one-star reduction.) Any mobility or vision issues mean you want to stay in the modern building. Swimming pool with hot tub is nice with a small but useful fitness room. The complimentary breakfast is good. Friendly staff. It's just a short trip north into beautiful Camden.

Clean room. Lobby too. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. They really made us feel welcome. There’s a small little gift shop area with very reasonably priced souvenirs and snacks. Pool and hot tub area are clean. They provide towels in the pool area as well. There’s a coffee bar 24/7 in the dining area fully stocked. There is also hot water for tea and tea bags. Dining area is awesome with book shelves full of reading material. There’s a fire pit outside with chairs, a beautiful garden. The whole property is incredible! We’ll totally be coming back.

While the lobby and breakfast area were fairly new and generous, our room was outdated and oddly layed-out. The couch and table were away from the television in the sleeping area which we found inconvenient. The bathroom had mold around the grout. The television did not have sound for some of the stations received. When we requested assistance, the desk person shrugged and said it was a cable company problem because some stations were in Spanish and some were black and white (duh: these are not problems but different stations common to cable subscriptions.) Also, the hotel sits behind another business which deals with remodeling so it was hard to find and did not provide a quality view.

Did the, Country Inn live up to its online photos? Absolutely! The property was every bit as attractive in real life as it was presented in the pictures they presented on the website. Our room was clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and quiet. They have miniature golf and an ice cream store on the property as well as a beautiful pool and all the standard amenities. We wanted for nothing we didn’t have and for a very fair price. I rate it a 5 out of 5.

I will say the photos posted online are very clean and updated and some areas are but our room had older carpet and smelled like a wet dog(booked the no pet room bc there are pet room options). Otherwise the breakfast was very good and it was otherwise safe. And housekeeping refreshed everyday but the smell for the price you pay was a disappointment

Put us in room 115. First time there. This room is near another entrance and one of our windows was facing that entrance. We had blinds but but the light was coming through. Felt like we had a light on in the room. Hard to sleep. If they only put a dark shade on the window. Also, we could hear the people on the 2nd floor. Ugh. Otherwise the room was nice and homey. I’m sure other rooms would have been a better choice preferably on the 2nd floor. If it wasn’t so late and our stuff all over the place I would’ve gone to the front desk and asked for another room.

The Country Inn and was a great find. The Inn is beautifully decorated and the staff extremely helpful. The staff suggested great near by restaurants and hidden tourist gems we would not have found on our own. I plan to stay here in the future and highly recommend the Country Inn to anyone visiting the Camden/Rockport/Rockland area.

The Inn was very clean and cozy! Room was clean and bed was super comfy. One of the cleanest places I have stayed, and will return. As a solo traveler I was planning to have a friend and her son come visit. Her son would go in pool, we would NOT (we would chat on the side and catch up). NO guests were allowed to come and use pool. They were not even allowing it if a guest fee was paid.

The Inn was very clean and cozy! Room was clean and bed was super comfy. One of the cleanest places I have stayed, and will return. We checked in on Wednesday 7/30 and checked out on Saturday 8/1. On Thursday, I received a call from the front desk asking me to return to the hotel because my dog was barking. I informed her I was in my room and my dog wasn’t barking. She informed me she had received a complaint about 10 minutes earlier, which at that point our dog was barking because he kept hearing people outside our room speaking and doors opening and closing.I then asked “isn’t this a dog friendly hotel?” And she responded that while it is a dog friendly hotel, if a guest places a complaint they have to address it. I understood her response, but what I didn’t understand was why would you put a dog friendly room next to regular non pet friendly rooms? This property has 2 levels, if you are going to promote it as dog friendly, the rooms should be at the very end of each hallway away from non pet friendly rooms. I informed them we were going to the lighthouse and leaving the dog in our room and the manager responded “I don’t advise that”. She said they would call me if the dog barked so I should take him with us. Long story short, we left the dog in our room in his crate with the air conditioner and television on and went to the lighthouse. We did not receive any calls or complaints after my husband and I both confronted the front desk at different times. Either you are pet friendly or not. I would HATE to see how this hotel handles crying infants, please shut your kid up or check out?

Only a mile from Camden, great location. Gricery store nearby also FYI. Loved the pool and hot tub. Breakfast in the morning was great. Would definitely recommend to anyone heading to Camden. Upscale feel, nice towels.

The Country Inn at Camden provided everything we needed for a great weekend: walking proximity into town (1.1 miles one-way), attentive front-desk service, an above-grade free breakfast, and a VERY CLEAN pool and hot tub with pool towels. Would certainly stay again. ;)

Very clean and comfortable. Just on the Camden/Rockport line, so about a 15 minute walk to the center of town (depending on the weather). We liked that the room had an additional sitting area, a small fridge and microwave. Breakfast was OK-I would call it continental plus, as there were hot sandwiches and make your own waffles with locally produced maple syrup. Would stay here again!

The Inn is charming with generously sized rooms. A few details were not attended too and the continental breakfast is mediocre featuring no fresh food except bananas. The coffee was pretty good! We didn’t use the pool but it was beautiful.

We stayed three nights at the Country Inn, and I highly recommend it for a visit to Maine. It’s located outside the busier part of town in a peaceful, secluded setting. We were truly able to relax, and the in-room electric fireplace was a very nice touch.

The inn was a nice wayward stop on our way from Boston to Bar Harbor. The staff were great as well as the morning breakfast offerings. Luckily only two stories in height because no elevator other than a service elevator. Ate a great pizza place (American Flatbread) just down the street and walked around beautiful, quant downtown Camden at night. Went and saw Curtis Hill lighthouse as well. Unfortunately the minigolf next door is only open on the weekend as we stayed during the week and couldn’t partake in that past time.
