There were cup stains from the previous guest on the night stand. The patio is deplorable. Just a few old tables, no umbrellas. Outside looks very sketchy. The grounds around the facility were dirty and muddy. No bushes or landscaping. They need vent fans in the bathrooms and an exterior door can not be latched. No one was at the desk when we came in and you use a phone on the wall to contact the desk clerk. It is their off season and they explained they are remodeling. The same staff work at the hotel next door.

The property is extremely run down and dirty. Upon check-in we were given a king room and we immediately had to change rooms. As soon as we opened the door it smelled of smoke so bad. Then we were “upgraded” to a whirlpool king and I would not even shower in it. It was old/stained and filthy. The ceiling in the room clearly has damage that was “patched”. This room was very musty smelling but we were tired so I sprayed perfume to mask it. The only positive was the bed was comfortable and did have clean sheets. Also the outside doors have no security measures, you can walk right in without a room key, I did not like this either. It would not be a place I’d stay again.

This property is below the standard of even a Quality Inn. The only thing acceptable was the newer carpet and the bed slept fairly well. The bathroom ceiling had mold all over it, there was a bug on the floor in the room, and you could easily hear people in the hallway and in the next room. When checking in, the bed linens/laundry were in large tubs in the lobby area be attended by staff. I didn’t bother with the breakfast, but my husband said it was bad. The outside doors in the back didn’t appear to be locked. The outside property around the hotel was in the process of being cleaned up, but it was severely overgrown with weeds.

I have never been in such a disgusting hotel. Something was wipe all over the drapes. Dead bugs on the floor, dust bunnies all over the carpet. The bathroom was full of black mold the towels looked like they were dirty. Never stay here it awful !!! We I said something to the front desk she said she would have to let housekeeper know.

The property and room were so disgustingly dirty. Hipped paint everywhere, scuff marks on the walls, stains on the carpets, hair on the wall in the shower. Seeing some black specks on the sheet next to the pillow, I pulled the sheet down to look at the bed and saw a number of hairs on the bottom sheet under the blanket. I slept in the other bed. I didn’t complain because clearly that’s how they do business. When I picked up the phone to call the front desk about something the phone had a layer of gross dirt all over it. Not only could you see the dirt coving the entire phone but you could feel it. It wasn't (no cord at all) plugged in anyway so I moved the gross object to the lower shelf of the nightstand and went and washed my hands. And don’t even think of walking on the room carpet barefoot. It was a combination of crunchy and sweaty at the same time.

It was an old hotel that had been painted so Many times you could see multiple colors in the chipped walls. The bathrooms had mold in the shower and the towels were so rough they irritated your skin. The building had a bad smell everywhere. I will never stay there again

it is really dark around this hotel at night. we had stayed here 2 years ago so we booked it again. the hallways on the first floor smelled bad and the door frames to all the doors needed repainting. the shower stall in our bathroom needed to be updated but the countertop looked new. the beds were comfortable and clean.

C Heck in took longer than expected. But front desk person was helpful and courteous. Room was good. Beds very very comfortable. Softest sheets and great pillows. Bathrooms could use a little attention. Clean but could use some paint and a new shower curtain. It was stained with something pink. Shower curtain rod rusty as well. However floors, carpet, counters and sinks looked newer and were nice.

Just a short stay, but hotel is very nice. Staff was very friendly on check in. Lobby very well kept and very professional looking. Slept really well in the room after a long day. Normally I have a tough time sleeping in a hotel, but the beds were comfortable and the room as well. I fell straight a sleep. Will definitely be back here next year when we do the show in Kewanna next year.
Just a short stay, but hotel is very nice. Staff was very friendly on check in. Lobby very well kept and very professional looking. Slept really well in the room after a long day. Normally I have a tough time sleeping in a hotel, but the beds were comfortable and the room as well. I fell straight a sleep. Room wasn’t the cleanest, no ice on the second floor because it wasn’t plugged in, changed me 20 dollars more then the first night when I wanted to stay another night. Even though it was barely occupied. They are trying to make me pay for the room we had twice now. I caught it on my credit card and haven’t heard back yet from them.

C Heck in took longer than expected. But front desk person was helpful and courteous. Room was good. Beds very very comfortable. Softest sheets and great pillows. Bathrooms could use a little attention. Clean but could use some paint and a new shower curtain. It was stained with something pink. Shower curtain rod rusty as well. However floors, carpet, counters and sinks looked newer and were nice.

Housekeeping tried to come in my room and my kids room 4 times before it was checkout time. They watched me walk into my room and opened the door to come in. It seemed like they were trying to rush us out.

The only problem was that, Expedia had us checking out a day earlier and then that night our room was rented out. At 11 pm we had a room guest. The hotel call me and told me to call Expedia and get it fixed. After and hour trying the hotel gave me a free night ,reason was able to fix it with Expedia

I was very disappointed with my 4 day stay in Rochester, IN. My bathroom vanity was not clean, the coffee maker still had old coffee pod from previous guests. I was told after I called to complain that my room had not been cleaned, wet towels not taken out and new ones brought in that it has to be requested or will only be done every other day. Went down for breakfast and found only bread and muffins and cereal to eat. Other guests were there also complaining that it had been like this through their entire trip. And it’s pretty bad when you’re not even greeted by staff upon checking in. I tried the phone and couldn’t get anyone. After years of staying at this hotel I finally started staying at Super 8. Last year I had a similar bad experience there so decided to try Quality Inn once more. Now I find they are both owned and managed by the same people and my experience was the same.

I was fishing a tournament near Rochester and stayed one night at this hotel. I had a boat with me and the person at the front desk chewed me out for bringing my boat the to hotel. He kept saying over and over that I was going to be responsible to pay for an electrician if I blow their circuit breakers by plugging in my boat in their outdoor outlets. He was very rude and unprofessional. He also asked if I was going to pay for the extra electric that I was using to charge my boat batteries. I fish a lot of tournaments all over the Midwest and I’ve never been treated like this before. He kept saying that the next time I needed to call and let them know I was bringing a boat. I told him that due to how he was treating me there would not be a next time. This person needs to be trained on how to treat customers!! Also the smoke detector was disconnected and lying on the microwave.

it is really dark around this hotel at night. we had stayed here 2 years ago so we booked it again. the hallways on the first floor smelled bad and the door frames to all the doors needed repainting. the shower stall in our bathroom needed to be updated but the countertop looked new. the beds were comfortable and clean.

A quiet, clean room would have been adequate. The location was quiet and away from the main road. The staff was friendly even though sometimes there was no one around for extended times. We will not go back for two issues. One, my husband made the bed and found the comforter (hidden by a coverlet) so gross that it was a deal breaker. There was visible dirt around the edges of the room, which is unsightly but not that bad, but the comforter was too much. Two, there was a lot of overgrown plants and grass around the property. Again, unsightly, but the real problem was that one day a stray dog, which must live in the overgrown bushes, emerged into the parking lot. We never saw it again, but it was unnerving.

The staff were very good. The rooms were pretty clean. The facility needs updated/ fixed up. Example, the handle on my toilet came out of the tank. It had come unscrewed from the inside. I actually fixed it myself, but that is just one example of the condition of the facility. The "free" breakfast is also very inadequate.

This property is below the standard of even a Quality Inn. The only thing acceptable was the newer carpet and the bed slept fairly well. The bathroom ceiling had mold all over it, there was a bug on the floor in the room, and you could easily hear people in the hallway and in the next room. When checking in, the bed linens/laundry were in large tubs in the lobby area be attended by staff. I didn’t bother with the breakfast, but my husband said it was bad. Perfect for a quick stop. We stayed one night after a wedding and arrived around 11pm. The staff was friendly and let me know my other family members had checked in already. We had several rooms and he quickly recognized me by name and family resemblance! Check-in was quick and efficient. The rooms were very clean. I saw both my room and my sister's room. I was impressed that the bathrooms were so clean. Prior to our check-in I asked my aunt how the hotel was and she also said very clean! The water pressure was great and the shampoos and lotions were all full. There was an exercise room that was small but had enough equipment for an early morning workout. There was also an outdoor patio that looked nice. We were not there long enough to enjoy it. The morning continental breakfast was small and had a few options. The apples were fresh and the waffles were delicious! We did run out of coffee but the staff was extremely quick to get more coffee brewing. I come from a family that consumes massive amounts of coffee, so that was no fault from the hotel that we ran out! I would highly recommend this hotel for an overnight trip. My only issue is that the doors were not secured from the outside, so anyone could walk into the hotel. However, the neighborhood was very safe and seemed very quiet. There were a few maintenance items - an exterior door had a handle that was removed and needed to be replaced but overall it was kept very clean.

We were traveling for a softball tournament and this was one of two hotels in Rochester. This hotel did not feel safe or clean. My daughter and I checked in but we found other accommodations and didn’t even end up staying the night. I would not recommend at all!

The room was okay, nothing to make it special. When we checked in the lady charged us one price and increased it for the second night. We asked why one was more expensive and she told us that it was a festival holiday. We have stayed at this motel many times before but we shall look at the other motels in the surrounding area the next time we go to visit relatives.
