Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham West Chester

It was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. Requested first floor but wound up on the 3rd. Not a big deal until the elevator quit first day and was out our whole stay. We are old and its a challenge every time up.

Parking was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed how roomy it was. Staff was great. Friendly and hard working. Was not able to have breakfast at the hotel due to dietary restrictions but appreciated having it available

What a dump ! Also vending Machines were empty.

I would never stay here again and if I knew then what I know now I would have never booked it. The hotel is understaffed and it shows. Few people around, feeling semi vacant, few cleaning rooms, taking most of the day. Heaps of trash sat in the hallways for hours. We saw staff most often smoking near the entrance. The elevator was broken. The hallways smelled of trash and body odor. The carpet was past its prime. Our hot room smelled of old food and chemicals which, little did we know, was the highlight of its evolution. By the time we got back it was sour and off, like mop water with a hint of dairy. Holes in the walls were sloppily patched. The shower walls were visibly dirty. No liner. The toilet smelled of septic, its seat chipped and scuffed to the point it looked filthy. Shower temp was fine. The headboards were mirrors. Classy. At least not on the ceiling. Bedding appeared clean enough—we trusted what could be bleached to death, and the sheets were—almost crunchy. Everything else was stained despite scrubbing. A TV with a few channels and a universal remote that barely worked. We cranked the overworked AC hoping to mask smell and heat. By morning the room was cold but damp. Our olfactory took care of the smell. We slept fine enough. We survived the night—no shady activity, felt safe, no bugs. I didn’t believe the bad reviews. That’s my mistake. This is a 2 star review for a 1 star hotel.

I was in room #316-third floor. There is only one elevator and it didn't work. I am 76 years old with two pieces of luggage. Toilet and toilet seat were not clean when I arrived. Two holes in the wall in the unit - one by the entry door and one in bathroom-where the door handle meets the wall when opened-because no doorstops on the door or the wall to prevent this. Carpets very worn. Would not recommend staying there.

The two ice machines in the hotel were broken. We were originally told that a repair person was on the way. We had to go out and buy ice. The machines were never repaired. No apology or alternate ice source was offered. The hair dryer did not work. The breakfast was skimpy. I will never return to or recommend this hotel.

Definitely a great hotel to stay in! The building is clean and nice, and so was the room. Service was nice and friendly. Plenty of parking, outdoor landscape is beautiful. Location is convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was very run down and we had a roach in the bathroom.

This place was very dirty and not well kept. The ice machine on the second floor did not work. The hotel smelled like mold. I had a double bed room and the air conditioner was blocked by the second bed and it was dirty and moldy. This hotel is truly a health hazard with all of the obvious mold and mildew. Do not stay here. I am hoping i haven't gotten sick

Sheets were dirty. Rust all in the bathroom area. Felt very unsafe staying here. Hotel was pretty much empty, which should have been a clue right there about the hotel.

This hotel is outdated. The rooms and hallway smelled like someone had been vaping. We killed 2 roaches in the bathroom. The shower head was super leaky and made a mess in the floor. The staff was nice. Safety latches on door were broken and the toilet seat was stained.

Room was dirty. Mattress had stains, hair, etc. had to use the bathroom, but decided to hold it until I got to Wawa. Bathroom and room door had something reddish brown splattered on it. Looked like dried blood. Burn marks on bathroom counter, sink and table under TV. Killed a couple crickets jumping around in the bathroom. The guy at the desk was very nice when we check in and out, but the room was super gross. Bed was comfortable, just don't inspect it. You're going to find all the things

Dont go. Besides no hot water, phone broken to contact front desk , no hot coffee and when you confront staff they agree but after you leave they say you should have left water running for 15 minutes to gain hot water in shower. When they give you business card for manager its the front desk number you get. The floor in room was laminate flooring which had holes and was coming apart. The bathroom had rust bleeding through the corners from the rusted cornerbead. The ceiling fan was rusted and full of possible lint.

Very dirty!!! The entire lower shower curtain was mold! Not just some spots, I mean the entire way across the bottom. The tub was filthy. No TV remote (we asked twice for one) our bed felt as though it was two box springs on top of each other. Absolutely no padding on it. Lock on sore was broken. It appears as though from the outside it’s quite nice. Elevator broken, just a very dirty hotel.

SO DIRTY! The bathroom was extremely dirty and in need of an update. The bedrooom lights were harsh and bright as well. If you were just trying to relax and read before bed, or just have low, relaxing lights on, that wasn't happening. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and wouldn't stay in it again.

Very dirty Heavy use of deodorizer emminating throughout the building that was obviously never cleaned. Carpets in stairwells and halls filthy. Bathroim was not clean

I debated leaving after being in the hotel for 30 minutes and if there had been a place close by, I would have went elsewhere. The hallways smelt like cigarettes and the carpets were stained. The room's bathroom had mold in the shower (which did not drain) and the sink smelled like urine when you ran the water. The bed was clean and the bed linens were clean but the bathroom towels were not clean. The walls were so thin I could hear the TV in the next room. There was no staff when I left in the morning at the front desk (even after ringing the bell and waiting) so no one to complain to in person.

The door on the room I was sent to wouldn't open so the desk clerk upgraded me to a suite, with was nice of him. But the mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. I barely slept.

Thought I booked a room with 2 beds and only got a small one bed. Dated building my baseboards were a horrible dark blue should have been white. The floor next to the bathtub was soft due to water damage. Otherwise acceptable for a one night flop

Room is very nice, quite big and clean. Bed and bedding are very good.

There was no hot water. We were by the elevators ice machine so we could hear people getting ice late at night and early in the morning. The mirrors were a bit much but the room was clean and I like the vinyl flooring instead of carpet. The ac was old and kept going off and on all night

The power went out for about 20 mins the bed was extremely hard. My table was broken and leaning. It felt like a motel.

Our stay was enjoyable. The location provided convenient access to highways and downtown West Chester. The room was clean and well-kept. However, the lighting in the room was somewhat harsh, with no lamps available and only bright fluorescent lights. It would have been nice to have a couple of cups at the sink as well.

Staff is very friendly and helpful!

There was a mixup with our room. The problem was resolved. Not a fancy hotel, but clean and affordable.

Piece of molding missing in my room, the bathroom door locked and I could not get in, girl at front desk at check-in very rude

Room was in disreapir and not especially clean. Many people were waiting for their rooms to be ready nearly an hour after check in time and person working the desk was being rude to them. It was uncomfortable and awkward. Price was good, especially for a holiday weekend

Kind staff, easy check in, all functional appliances

Upon entering the lobby, you are greeted by a very strong smell of cleaning solution. The clerk was friendly and gave us our key. As we entered the room, we noticed the light was out over the bathroom sink. Further inspection showed that the shower curtain rod was barely hanging on and that we couldn’t close the curtain because the bar was angled down. Very strong chemical smell in the room. Requested a new room from the desk and was given one. The second room also smelled overwhelmingly strong, the safety latch for extra security was missing from the door. Dead bugs in the windowsill and in general the room was rundown. The chemical smell and lack of a secondary lock on the door helped us make the decision to leave and go to another hotel. Wasn’t happy about losing the money from that reservation, but I l refuse to stay someplace like that. We weren’t expecting the Ritz, but there are just certain basic needs that should come with a hotel room. Safety and clean air are two of those needs.

For the price, it's a clean room, nice staff, and a safe location. It was a great place to stay due to my distance for jury duty.

The only downside was that no one was at the front desk when we arrived for check-in and we had to wait up to 20 minutes before anyone came by. Breakfast was basic stuff- coffee, bagels, cereal, yogurt and waffles. Overall a good experience for the time we were there.

The area around the hotel was all businesses so no randoms wondering around. Also the hotel is a great price but the age of the property is showing.

It was in a perfect location, although it is located off a very busy route, the outsde noise level was low.

This hotel is not near any accommodations. No restaurants or stores are within walking distance. But the hotel it clean.

Stayed here for WCU homecoming. Very close to all the activities. Felt safe and room & hotel were clean. Continental breakfast very good.

The office staff were very friendly upon arrival and throughout my stay. Overall, the stay was very pleasant. The location is very practical if you are coming to West Chester to visit. The drive to town is only about 5 minutes.

Check in was ok, but lengthy. I noticed what seemed to be a homeless camp-out on hotel property. Went to the free breakfast in the morning LAME! No eggs, no meat. Just toast, coffee, a waffle maker. At 7:30am, the coffee was not even made. The 3 homeless campers were in the “breakfast” room hanging out and eating the lame breakfast. 2 thumbs down.

Nice quiet location, comfortable room, good charging station. The breakfast was a bit disappointing for people who avoid sugar.

Upon check in there was a sign on the desk stating that the complimentary continental breakfast was discontinued. It is listed on their website and we were counting on it as part of our time there and wouldn't have to figure out a breakfast. Won't stay there again.

Worst hotel breakfast ever. A waffle maker, some bread & bagels, dry cereal and that's it. Did not even have plates, guy who works in the front desk said you can just use bowls. Also no toilet paper in the room at check-in. Same guy hands overall roll, no apology.

Good price for the room. Room, including bathroom was always clean. Breakfast was ok.
