Lovely stay at the new inn,food very good.only down side it closes in the afternoon till 6o'clock, which we did nor realise until arriving.cobwebs on ceiling could do with a good brush down,but overall a lovely 2 nights

Stayed for one night midweek to break our journey to Cornwall. The New Inn offers everything you need for such a stay, with a nice pub dinner, comfortable adjoining rooms, free parking and a cooked breakfast. My main feedback is that a little more could have been offered at breakfast time like some fruit and yoghurts, and a muffin or similar. And the bed was not as comfy as I was expecting. Otherwise, 9/19. Thank you.

Also, lovely dogs living there. Room clean and comfortable. Great power shower. Great breakfast. Wish we could've stayed longer. Will definitely stay again. Thank you so much.

The pub was brilliant and so friendly from first introduction to saying goodbye! The breakfast was delicious and filled a hole. And there were puppies which is an absolute bonus! Couldnt fault it, we were only there for a wedding but we would definitely visit again if we were in the area.

We are a family of 4 and stayed in their family room. Absolutely amazing! The room was spacious, bathroom super spacious! Tea, coffee, hot choc and biscuits with kettle and tv. The staff here are amazing. So helpful and the fur-staff Roxy and Dora were super cute! Breakfast was fully cooked and so tasty. We had the curry for dinner and it was delicious. Thank you so so much, we wished we could have stayed longer. Would definitely stay here again anytime.

Very pleasant stay, staff excellent, great food and a lovely area. Well behaved dogs are welcome and have a lovely time playing with the two very friendly pub dogs. Will certainly go again.

Nickie was extremely friendly and helpful with finding taxi companies for us. The full English breakfast was beautifully cooked with nice crispy toast. Regarding cleanliness, I would have given one more star had I not found cobwebs around the window. Overall, good.

Friendly staff and a reasonable breakfast. However, the room was dirty, the bathroom looked very tired and the toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly.

Did not stay. We left after seeing the room. Would like refund. Kitchen unhygienic, seen when door open and was shocked. Cracked surfaces unsealed edges, dirty equipment. Does not comply to hygiene standards.Room had dirty worn floor mat and dirty cushion on desk chair. Ensuite had old dirty lino on floor with grime around the edges and the glass access passageway beside the out of order disabled toilet smelt of urine. We could not stay in such a dirty, unfit for purpose place. Staff were lovely but the older man in kitchen had no gloves and dirty uncovered hair, (nor did his lady assistent) when preparing food nor did either wear any aprons etc. Very lax altogether. We request a full refund. It is a beautiful property and friendly staff but they seem to have lost heart in what they do and it needs a complete clean and overhaul before it should be allowed to continue to let rooms and to serve food.

Wonderful host kids loved the dogs ❤️ just needs a good high and low dusting and we forgot to say we couldnt work out the heating when we did get chilly late evening but snuggled down in the amazing beds and soon warmed up ❤️

We enjoyed our stay and breakfast was great.We had a lovely meal in the restaurant.The room was a good size and refreshments provided. We had a comfortable night stay, but there were a few cobwebs which was a shame. Overall stay was very pleasant .

We had a wonderful stay at the New Inn. We stayed in the family room which was perfect for our family. We had a great dinner in the evening and a super breakfast in the morning. It's in a very picturesque village which was lovely to walk around. Recommended!

Amazing Staff, Amazing hospitality. Amazing Food. Amazing welcome. Had a 3 night stay in family room with double bed and bunk beds. Loads of room and plenty of storage space. Breakfast was delicious. Had 2 evening meals. They were so filling and delicious, only wished we were staying another night for "Curry Night ". All staff were friendly and superb with our Authentic adult son. Even gave him one of the Hotel polo shirts!

Stayed for one night to break up the journey to Cornwall. We received a friendly welcome on arrival and got checked in quickly before being shown to our room. Room was spacious enough for a family of four, with a decent size bathroom. We had dinner in the restaurant which was good size portions at good prices and tasted great. The breakfast was also great and each time the service was friendly and efficient. This is a lovely little traditional pub in a beautiful village and I would happily recommend to anyone wanting somewhere for an overnight stay.

I missed the obvious door bell to get into The New Inn so phoned and go a speedy response. Breakfast was just what I wanted, hot, well cooked and just the right amount for the older person. The evening meal was very good and I’d picked the vegi option. My only issue, a minor squeaky bathroom door, so once opened it stayed open.

It was a good stay in the New Inn. It's in a very quiet location, the owner was very helpful and friendly. The beds are comfortable, and the room is spacious for family stay. Only issue is the bathroom gets really wet when showering.

Stayed for one night to break up the journey to Cornwall. We received a friendly welcome on arrival and got checked in quickly before being shown to our room. Room was spacious enough for a family of four, with a decent size bathroom. We had dinner in the restaurant which was good size portions at good prices and tasted great. The breakfast was also great and each time the service was friendly and efficient. This is a lovely little traditional pub in a beautiful village and I would happily recommend to anyone wanting somewhere for an overnight stay.

I missed the obvious door bell to get into The New Inn so phoned and go a speedy response. Breakfast was just what I wanted, hot, well cooked and just the right amount for the older person. The evening meal was very good and I’d picked the vegi option. My only issue, a minor squeaky bathroom door, so once opened it stayed open.

We had a wonderful stay at the New Inn. We stayed in the family room which was perfect for our family. We had a great dinner in the evening and a super breakfast in the morning. It's in a very picturesque village which was lovely to walk around. Recommended!

So quiet in the depths of the Somerset countryside that there was little noise apart from the birds! Very hospitable, nice food, and a clean and adequately comfortable room. A pleasant night’s stay.

Did not stay. We left after seeing the room. Would like refund. Kitchen unhygienic, seen when door open and was shocked. Cracked surfaces unsealed edges, dirty equipment. Does not comply to hygiene standards.Room had dirty worn floor mat and dirty cushion on desk chair. Ensuite had old dirty lino on floor with grime around the edges and the glass access passageway beside the out of order disabled toilet smelt of urine. We could not stay in such a dirty, unfit for purpose place. Staff were lovely but the older man in kitchen had no gloves and dirty uncovered hair, (nor did his lady assistent) when preparing food nor did either wear any aprons etc. Very lax altogether. We request a full refund. It is a beautiful property and friendly staff but they seem to have lost heart in what they do and it needs a complete clean and overhaul before it should be allowed to continue to let rooms and to serve food.

The hosts were most welcoming and we enjoyed a lovely overnight stay. We had an excellent evening meal, plus a delicious breakfast with best bacon I have ever tasted! The atmosphere in the pub in the evening was very friendly and just as a village pub should be full of locals.

From the moment we walked through the door, we felt like we had come home. Everyone at New Inn was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. We had originally booked just one night, but within minutes of arriving we knew we wanted to stay longer. Unfortunately, there were no rooms available at first. Then, just a couple of minutes later, one of the staff came back with a huge smile and told us there had been a cancellation, so we could stay after all! We simply moved to a different room, and everything worked out perfectly. The weather was very hot during our stay, and we were kindly lent a fan, which made a huge difference. We slept really well. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and everything was spotless. The breakfast was another highlight of our stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic menu and loved that we could order exactly what we wanted each morning. The crispy bacon, perfectly cooked fried eggs, and delicious scrambled eggs were all excellent. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble, and the staff went above We also had dinner here every evening, and the food was outstanding. A special thank you to the chef for the lasagne – without doubt one of the best we have ever tasted. We would recommend it to everyone! The New Inn is a place we will happily recommend to everyone we know. Combined with the charming and peaceful village, it made for a truly memorable stay. We genuinely hope to return one day.
