I had a pleasant stay overall. The room, lobby, and the area just outside the entrance were all very clean, which I appreciated. The staff were friendly and professional. I also really enjoyed the convenience of having a restaurant on-site—but I do wish it stayed open later. Unfortunately, the pool was a bit of a letdown. The jets weren’t working, and there were clumps of hair floating in the water, which made it feel less than clean. With a bit more attention to the pool area and extended restaurant hours, this would be a solid stay.

The hotel is under renovation, so it’s loud and there are random people walking through. We took a wrong turn going to the parking lot and accidentally walked into a dark dirty basement space, there were no signs leading to the actual exit and it was easy to get lost. We then got to our room and it smelled like smoke and mold. The room was dirty (crumbs on the floor, ceiling looked dirty and cracked around the edges). After about ten minutes we discovered the ceiling was dripping water onto the bed.

The bed was super comfortable. The room and hotel were extremely clean even while a snow storm hit they were actively cleaning the parking lot and lobby floors. My only negative was that the room was not ready at our 3pm arrival. We waited about 30 minutes for a room to be ready.

For the price thought they would have a complementary breakfast. Is what it is. Also it wasn't the newest. But it was fine. Very quiet for being near highway. Bathroom very small. And short ceiling. Im 5'9 and it felt right above me. I dont know how well it would be for someone over 6 feet. They had dove products which i usually love but I'm questioning if they really were dove. Overall it was ok. Nothing phenomenal for their usual brand.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone from the housekeeprs to the waiter in the breakfast area was fantastic. The front deak staff, were stiff, robotic, and cold. Which is unfortunate. They are the first contact. Despite that,we l9ved our stay and would absolutely stay again.

Our room was an updated comfortable, clean room and the hotel was about a 25 minute walk into downtown Portsmouth so very convenient. The hotel is also close to highways and a 10 minutes from Kittery, Maine which has lots of shopping outlets.

I chose them for thier room service.. when i got there he said they no longer do it, then why is it on your site as amenaties included? thats when he stopped understanding english. he also said I had to give a credit card. when I checked out or rather tryed too. thats when he informed me of a $25 charge for nothing and of course thier printer was down and I was refused a comfermation .. I will never ever go to a Holiday inn again..

Holiday Inn was clean and we thought it had everything we needed including nice bright lighting in the bathroom which had been missing at a number of hotels we’ve stayed at recently. But then none of the four outlets in the bathroom worked and we had to dry our hair next to the tv. Then the water would not go down the drain either. A bit disappointing. Breakfast was delicious.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The room, lobby, and the area just outside the entrance were all very clean, which I appreciated. The staff were friendly and professional. I also really enjoyed the convenience of having a restaurant on-site—but I do wish it stayed open later. Unfortunately, the pool was a bit of a letdown. The jets weren’t working, and there were clumps of hair floating in the water, which made it feel less than clean. With a bit more attention to the pool area and extended restaurant hours, this would be a solid stay.

We spent one night here and found our room to be perfect in every way - very clean, plenty of towels, comfortable bed. We could walk to a diner right next to property which is great after driving several hours. Staff was welcoming and courteous. Breakfast was excellent - it was served to us by a courteous waiter in a pleasant and clean dining room. We would love to stay here again if we ever go that way again.
