Very clean immaculate cosy room everything ect comfy bed bath shower lovely dinning area bar out side nice garden with lots of benches to eat and drink food really good traditional breakfast also continental very nice easy walk to everything the lake ect bus route good only thing l did not like and did not say when booked our l have not seen any reviews CASH ONLY AT the bar order drink oh we don't take cards but staff lovely evening else spot on

Lovely accommodation. Room was in the adjacent annex right next door to the Angel. Parking spots available at Angel and the accommodation. Excellent spot in Bowness for shops, eateries etc

Parking is horrific - they have maybe 8 spots in front of the property and they do not designate them for guests. We had to park in the neighboring town which was about a 30min walk. The property itself was very charming and very nice, just like the photos. The food was decent. We would not stay here again because of the parking situation.

Our stay at The Angel Inn was very pleasant. The hotel was clean and had wonderful views. The grounds are lovely. There is a nice pub downstairs with really nice food. We had a room at the front of the hotel which afforded a great view of Windermere but was a bit loud as it was above the beer garden, and we kept the window open for comfort. Overall, this was a really nice play to stay with pleasant staff.

Stayed for the second time here but stayed in a more upgraded room which was lovely nice friendly hotel with lovely food /breakfast and a nice pub with great choice of drinks with reasonable prices great location and free parking

This was a great stay however there was not enough parking and getting in to actually Check-In was hard because of it. Other than that it was a great stay and no complaints!

Our stay in Bowness On Windermere was a last minute decision. We were very lucky to find this Inn. The family room was very comfortable & clean. Bathroom was nice, having a bathtub & separate large shower unit. Beautiful views of the surrounding village and a peek of Lake Windermere too. Breakfast was lovely. A good breakfast selection with full English option, well cooked. A friendly staff experience made our visit memorable for the right reasons. Will definately stay there again on our next vsiit to the lakes.

Room cleanliness was poor. Mattress was like a pancake and the pillow was like a brick. The walls are paper thin as we could hear the other guests chatting. Didn’t feel safe as the back door was wedged open. Didn’t feel welcome from the staff. Very poor value for price paid.

Overpriced tiny room, dirty sheets. Room hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. Everything was an extra charge like moving to a bigger room (ours was a shoe box at about £150 for a night!). We spent a lot of time chosing hotel and there were lots of better alternatives that we will pick next time. At least they agreed to give us a slightly later check out (beyond the measly 10:30!) for which we we’re grateful. Nevertheless we won’t be back sorry!

The family annex was amazing. Clean, nicely decorated. The beds were very comfy. We had an evening meal in the restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonably price. Very happy with my stay at the Angel Inn

The room was older but clean and it worked for us. The property is convenient to Windermere and the Lake District. I didn't research the area enough and booked a stay on a weekend in Sept. The town was packed and overcrowded. I'm not blaming the property, just consider the timing of your visit.

It was absolutely wonderful, the staff were amazing and so welcoming, The room was beautiful, very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend it, we will stay there again.

Lovely welcome from the staff who were very informative about everything from parking to meals to how to contact them. Parking is very limited however public parking is available nearby. Room was comfortable and warm. Had all the things needed (tea, coffee, basic toiletries, towels etc). Having a safe in the room was a nice touch. The only little things are there is no mirror next to the table to do hair / make up as it’s across the room and the toilet door constantly hits the bathroom door. Shower good quality, nice bedding. Slight issue on the last night with other guests but the staff were really apologetic the next morning when this was brought to their attention (hoping to receive an email about it though once it is mentioned to management). Overall very nice and in a good location.

Unfortunately we had a room that is a separate building from the pub room 16. I say unfortunate because this room is on the ground floor and the room above us had a family with children and from 7am we could hear these children running around non stop. I spoke to staff and recommended next time they organise so that a family with children is placed on the ground floor to curb some of the noise from the bouncing and running around as the floorboards sounded like they were going to collapse. Obviously this made our stay uncomfortable especially seeing as we paid £450 for 2 nights Also on the first night our window came down on its own and has no way of securing properly obviously we wondered why the room was so cold during the night in the morning we found the answer to that out. It’s also a security risk

Not good from start. We weren't shown to room, just given a number and told to go across road. So many stepsup and down to room. Room was so small needed decorating. To sit on toilet you had to leave door open. Only good bit was breakfast.

Staff at the Angel Inn were fantastic, warm welcome for us both and the dog. Could not fault the staff. Our room 32 for the 3 of us was a little small. Not the size of room we expected for what we paid per night. The room itself was clean well decorated. Lacked storage space that was closed so we could put things away. We would stay here again in a bigger room . The staff both in the Angel inn and housekeeping were just perfect.

Hotel was fantastic, food, room and colleagues all good. Only issue was on check out when they tried to charge me for the previous evening meal, when I had already paid the previous night for it. Had to show my bank app to prove I had paid

The staff was awesome. Michelle was a great boss. Tom, Daria, Christina, Anne Marie and Dez were just great. Made us feel right at home and very welcome. We would come back to the Angel Inn in a heartbeat. Parking was a little bit tough and the rooms were a little small but those are very minor issues for us.

The first time I've ever left mid stay. Stayed in room 25 and it was the noisiest room I've ever stayed. No sound proofing, right next to main door which is slamming all night long when people leave and enter. You can here everything from nearby rooms, in particular the room upstairs which stayed awake talking and TV blasting until 0130hrs. Then an alarm right outside my room staring going off at 0430hrs and was still going off when I left at 0800. So no sleep whatsoever. The big chap at breakfast was rude, inattentive and more preferred to talk to his colleague about the local fights and arguments rather than offering any sort of customer service. Breakfast was extremely poor. Such a shame I had to to cut my visit to Windermere short because accommodation and service was so bad.

The first time I've ever left mid stay. Stayed in room 25 and it was the noisiest room I've ever stayed. No sound proofing, right next to main door which is slamming all night long when people leave and enter. You can here everything from nearby rooms, in particular the room upstairs which stayed awake talking and TV blasting until 0130hrs. Then an alarm right outside my room staring going off at 0430hrs and was still going off when I left at 0800. So no sleep whatsoever. The big chap at breakfast was rude, inattentive and more preferred to talk to his colleague about the local fights and arguments rather than offering any sort of customer service. Breakfast was extremely poor. Such a shame I had to to cut my visit to Windermere short because accommodation and service was so bad.

Excellent property, staff members were very courteous and service standards exceeded our expectations. Seating outside the hotel facing the lakes were amazing. Parking was adequate. 5 - 10 minutes walk to the main pier, bars, restaurants etc.

The Angel Inn has a fantastic location-with lots to do & see in Bowness within minutes walk, and easy access to the excellent 599/555 bus service to explore the rest of the South Lakes. The staff were all really friendly & helpful. The breakfast was great, with a lot of options.

Very clean immaculate cosy room everything ect comfy bed bath shower lovely dinning area bar out side nice garden with lots of benches to eat and drink food really good traditional breakfast also continental very nice easy walk to everything the lake ect bus route good only thing l did not like and did not say when booked our l have not seen any reviews CASH ONLY AT the bar order drink oh we don't take cards but staff lovely evening else spot on

The family annex was amazing. Clean, nicely decorated. The beds were very comfy. We had an evening meal in the restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonably price. Very happy with my stay at the Angel Inn

It was absolutely wonderful, the staff were amazing and so welcoming, The room was beautiful, very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend it, we will stay there again.

It was a pleasant stay, good service. Only disappointment was the curry on the menu was not good quality and portion was too small for the price. Hotel was comfortable and centrally located. Parking is smaller as compared to number of rooms available.

Lovely stay as a family. Staff all friendly and we had a great stay. Had breakfast both mornings which was delicious and dinner on one evening again we all enjoyed that too! Thanks again we’ll definitely be back! Stayed in the annex in a family room as had our dog with us too and was really comfortable- free parking was also an added bonus.

Vi bodde her én natt som første stopp på turen vår til Lake District, og kunne ikke valgt et bedre sted å starte. Flott beliggenhet, både idyllisk og sentralt. Personalet var veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme, og den tilhørende puben hadde god mat, veldig god frokost og skikkelig god kaffe. Et sted med hyggelig atmosfære som vi gjerne kommer tilbake til.

Good location set slightly back from the busier areas of Bowness. An easy walk to the pier or a short walk to the bus stop up the hill for buses to Windermere and beyond. We particularly liked the 'green' drinks scheme where you could get a drink per room occupant instead of a daily room clean. The cooked breakfast options were excellent and the lunch / evening menu offered enough to make it easy to stay in if we didn't have the energy to go out. The summer menu was introduced mid-stay and that was a little more limited than the previous one (presumably to make it easier to cope with the higher summer volumes). As with everywhere in the Lake District they cater for dogs so be specific if you need a pet free room.
