Stayed for a long weekend with my little daughter as a treat and will definitely be back! Staff were ever so helpful andwent out of their way. The room and food were lovely. Parking in the central car park is just down the road, very convenient.

Super hotel in middle of Dolgellau. Efficiently run by courteous friendly professional staff. We did not eat there but wish we had! Everything as it should be in a good hotel. Plentiful overnight parking in the long stay carpark behind the hotel. Some traffic noise as it is an old building with single glazing but that is to be expected.

Right in the centre of the town, within walking distance of the local cycling shop where we hired bikes to do the bike trail which is just on the doorstep. Staff were attentive, facilities were excellent, front and back outside seating area. Meals were fabulous. Will definitely return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff were friendly and accessible. The food was very tasty and we didn't have to wait very long before it was served. The room was on the third floor but, with the lift this was not a problem It was very clean and more than adequate for our needs. I would recommend The Ship Hotel.

A really friendly welcoming hotel with bar and restaurant. Our room was spotless and there was a large disabled access bathroom. Fresh milk in a thermos for tea and coffee in the room was a thoughtful touch. The shower was hot but the flow was a little underwhelming. Lovely young man on reception loaned me his iPhone charger - much appreciated. Full English breakfast was excellent and we appreciated the cafetière of coffee. A great stay.

Lovely staff. Great tea/coffee tray and water /biscuits every day. Fresh milk in flask a great touch. Food was average for pub grub . Room was tired, needed a paint. Dusty wardrobe. Mattress needed replacing -could feel the springs. No pillow protectors. Shower cubicle was full of mildew , trap was dirty inside. They did put 2 pillow cases on and clean trap when I asked. Very small bathroom, a large person would struggle!

Great room and lovely staff. We managed to get a space in the carpark so the car was safe. We ate in the pub and the food was good, easy food. If you are a light sleeper, maybe ask for a room away from the church as the bells ring every 15 minutes. Although I am told sometimes they stop at 11pm, but you can’t guarantee.

Everything was good, except for one thing. My niece who lives in Wales came to the hotel to pick me up. She parked in the parking lot behind the hotel because it was a relatively shorter walk for me. I am disabled. The hotel owner, an older gentleman, came out and yelled at her for parking there since she was not a hotel guest. She explained the she was picking up a disabled hotel guest. I was in the hotel lobby waiting for her and when we went out I witnessed his rude attitude towards her. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Superb hotel and outstanding customer service from the team. Stayed here for one night and requested an early breakfast the next morning as we were up early for a walk. The front of desk and kitchen team were very helpful with this. The room was beautiful and the evening meal we had the night of our stay was delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

Really busy time of year for the staff... CJ was fabulous and helpful... Second time at hotel and still cozy and very warm... Had to wait a while for dinner...but it didnt matter, staff were apologetic and made amends.. its a nice place to stay

Charged my card after I left for the dinner I had the previous evening and paid cash at the bar - didn’t sign any authorisation for the charge, checked out personally-just unbelievable! Stayed for a long weekend with my little daughter as a treat and will definitely be back! Staff were ever so helpful andwent out of their way. The room and food were lovely. Parking in the central car park is just down the road, very convenient.

Superb hotel and outstanding customer service from the team. Stayed here for one night and requested an early breakfast the next morning as we were up early for a walk. The front of desk and kitchen team were very helpful with this. The room was beautiful and the evening meal we had the night of our stay was delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

Great room and lovely staff. We managed to get a space in the carpark so the car was safe. We ate in the pub and the food was good, easy food. If you are a light sleeper, maybe ask for a room away from the church as the bells ring every 15 minutes. Although I am told sometimes they stop at 11pm, but you can’t guarantee.

Excellent restaurant and comfortable room. Not much in the town surrounding it, but a good stop going up or down the west coast of Wales. Comfortable room.

Lovely staff. Great tea/coffee tray and water /biscuits every day. Fresh milk in flask a great touch. Food was average for pub grub . Room was tired, needed a paint. Dusty wardrobe. Mattress needed replacing -could feel the springs. No pillow protectors. Shower cubicle was full of mildew , trap was dirty inside. They did put 2 pillow cases on and clean trap when I asked. Very small bathroom, a large person would struggle!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff were friendly and accessible. The food was very tasty and we didn't have to wait very long before it was served. The room was on the third floor but, with the lift this was not a problem It was very clean and more than adequate for our needs. I would recommend The Ship Hotel.

Nice hotel, and the most popular venue in Dolgellau. Ensure you arrange your evening meal before 8pm, as everything stops serving early (out of season), including the hotel. Was extremely disappointing to be left with just a kebab shop at 8:20pm, with absolutely no alternatives. Town has some nice eateries, but everything shuts early and it feels like a ghost town by 9pm.

The hotel is decent, but it is far too expensive for what you get. We paid £195 for one night for three guests, including breakfast, and it was not worth the price. The biggest problem was the room. It was unbearably hot, and the only thing provided was a small fan, which did almost nothing to cool it down. Our room faced east, but the window could barely be opened, leaving almost no ventilation. The room felt like an oven. We spoke to the manager about how hot the room was, but our concerns were not taken seriously. Instead of offering a solution, we were simply told to "just enjoy the warmth" because some people like it. That response was very disappointing. We came here to relax and celebrate my husband's birthday, but instead it turned into a nightmare. The room was so hot that none of us could sleep. It's impossible to enjoy your stay when you're uncomfortable all night. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with our experience. For the price we paid, we expected a comfortable room and we recieved better customer service. Unfortunately, this stay completely spoiled what was meant to be a special birthday celebration.

Nice place we were there on Sunday night so the town was quiet. Great central location, we were on second floor , room was warm. Windows would open fully (only a few cms wedges open with a coupe of books) there was a fan but noisy so turned it off to sleep. No hair products in shower , just had wash ... so don't forget them. Breakfast really good , continental selection and hot food. We had dinner in the pub . Good pub food , nothing fancy but fine. Some of the waiting staff were a little inexperienced, but others quick to step in. Managed to get a parking space at the back of the hotel which was great as only a handful of spaces . Overall good .
