The public areas were nicely set up and clean. The pool was closed marked out of order. We stayed 2 nights and house keeping did not refresh towels. Other than that, the room was comfortable. Easy check in and out. Convenient location. Definitely worth the price.

From the beginning: check in was no problem and property has a very nice entrance/business center. Pool out of order. From other commenters, at least 2 months, that seems unacceptable or for that long give people some notice. King suite room. Good size and well soundproofed. Was not bothered by any outside noise and easy to sleep. Room was not cleaned great. Furniture was dirty and previous guests hair-tie still on bathroom floor. No ice bucket in room. Staff was helpful when we asked for 2 more pillows. Breakfast was ok at best both days. Could have been good if someone was watching it. First day, no waffle batter, milk was gone, no regular bagels. Second day, no forks, and no muffins or bakery goods. Would go 6.5/10 with -1.5 for lack of pool facilities, -1 for the room not being fully cleaned and -1 for the lack of breakfast items.

We were greeted with the extreme smell of pot upon walking in. Soon a receptionist that was extremely high checked us in. He told us the pool was being fixed so we couldn’t swim. We also found the candy machine and the ice machine to not be functioning. The room was fine and comfortable.

Had wanted to use the pool. It was closed. In room - no towels or washclothes. No instant coffee or coffee cups. Continental Breakfast - very limited, out of many items. We've seen better.

I wanted to dismiss previous reviews, but unfortunately they were correct. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean but that was it. Everything else was SUBPAR at best. As noted by previous reviews, the rooms were dated, the smoke detector was hanging from the wall, who ever painted the room obviously was in a hurry paint spatter everywhere, the towels were child size and no body wash. There is NO elevator. The breakfast was meager. It could sustain you but it wasnt nice. Some apples were rotten and they didnt put out any other creamer accept flavored (vanilla) no half and half or dried creamer. We reserved a 4 night stay and it was the same every morning. Bread, sausage, faux eggs and apples. However, the thing that upset me most was the pool which they advertise. They never told us the pool wasnt working when we made our reservation. We check in and on the door was a big sign "POOL CLOSED" when I asked the clerk about this he stated, "The water is very cold, you can use it but I wouldn't." Is it closed or not? We had 2 teeneage boys for a 4 night stay. They needed something to do at least one of those days. So the boys tried the pool on the third night, the pool was not heated and the lights wouldnt come on in the pool room. Definitely closed and not safe. After the ice machine broke, we had enough and told them we were checking out the next day. We explained our position and they had the nerve to tell us the pool was available just cold. Dishonest.

went for a birthday party and was really nice. my kids enjoyed the pool.

We used to stay here a lot in the past but has tried different places lately. We decided to try it again as it was a place we had enjoyed previously. We will not be staying here again. The room was not clean. The tub had hair from a previous stay. There were pizza boxes outside the window. The pool was especially bad. The water was not clean and you could tell it had not been cleaned in a long time. The bottom of the pool had sand or something. There were leaves and debris in the water as well. The complimentary breakfast has become just a very small selection of items and also didn’t seem clean in the area. There were people in the parking lot attempting to unlock a car with a coat hanger. Star was rarely at the desk and there was a handwritten sign letting you know how to page them. It’s really a shame as I am a Wyndham rewards member and stayed here frequently in the past.

At time of arrival I couldn't find any employees that were working. Yet all of the current check-ins for the night were layed on the front desk, with all individual information on display with room keys. My wife didn't feel safe staying there. The hotel states that its "Smoke Free" yet the place stunk like marajuana. The room smelled and bath tub was dripping and had standing water in the tub. We didn't even stay, we left and booked a room somewhere else. I couldnt find an employee to address our concerns. The pictures online did not match what we saw in person. We will be requesting a full refund.

Bathroom floor was full of other people’s hair and just dirty. Found a large hair in the bed when we pulled the sheets down to get into bed. My niece found a dirty sock and bugs in the pull out couch and ended up switching rooms at 1 am. Overall not a terrible place to stay but could really IMPROVE THEIR CLEANING!!

The beds were made and it smelled clean but there was pubic hair in the tub and on the sink. The floor in the bathroom was disgusting. Must have missed sweep day. Also when we got there to check in after driving 5 hours, no one was at the desk. I ran the bell and nothing. Then some lady came out of the pool area and picked up the counter phone and called the phone behind the desk and let it ring about 20 times. Finally some other lady opened a hotel room door, looked like she just crawled out of bed and asked if we needed something. I said could we check in? She looked very annoyed & said they don't normally let people check in this early. Mind you it was 3pm. And I said oh we just drove 5 hours. She huffed and asked my name, had me sign a paper, gave me 1 key and walked away. Will never stay there again. Thought it would be nice cause those kinds of hotels near our hometown are fabulous. Not this one, very dingy and unprofessional.

The furniture inside the rooms was old and smelly. The furniture in the room referring to the desk and the headboard was dusty. I have asthma and it was not good for me not happy at all.

Room was a bit dirty. Could use a fresh paint job, lots of spackle that could be covered up. Had jacuzzi tub, bottom was dirty and walls around it were a bit icky. The room did the job, staff was friendly, just could freshen up the place and cleaning detail could be better.

The room was mediocre at best. The coffee machine had missing parts so it was unusable, the sheets had stains that we cleaned ourselves and there was a used condom under the couch that we noticed when we went to pull out the second bed. The bed and pull out bed were the most uncomfortable things ever. I get it, you get what you pay for especially in rural South Dakota but simple cleanliness of the room is all I expected.

The hotel was nice enough but the sheets pillows and towels have to be original to when it was built..... They are stained and very thin.... Spend a little money replacing the linens and it would be a much better experience....

We checked in around 4pm and are room was still not done. As we where at the front desk checking in they went down to are room and had to put towels and stuff in are room. Coffee pot was not even on the counter and the room and bathroom where not very clean

Overall condition had gone downhill in the last year.

All outlets are wore out that stuff that’s plugged in don’t stay in socket. Three towels for four people staying in room. Ice machine was broken. Clean and got the job done but overpriced for the experience.

Reserved two rooms, and one needed to be a handicapped room, but did not receive it, even though it was needed. In our second room, the bedframe broke when we sat on the bed, the toilet was not secured to the floor and the smoke detector was not installed. Rooms were canceled without our knowledge for nights 2 & 3. Thankfully, the gal working the front desk did redo our reservations for nights 2&3, and did get a handicapped room we needed. The whole place needs some TLC (sheetrock issues in all bathrooms, carpets well worn). The place did seem good and clean. The continential breakfast was not good. Definitely will look for a different hotel next time.

Room was great lots of space

I would have given it a overall of 5 stars ( I gave 4 stars) but the air conditioner did not work that great and it was a little warm in the room to sleep. I mentioned it to the staff hopefully they get it fixed for the next person.

Average 2 star hotel. Loved having a suite with a separate bedroom area and it was on the end of the building, which was very quiet even when a whole baseball team was staying there. Good quality for the price.

TV Quality was poor. Bed was good.

Had to ask to switch rooms due to A/C issue which they tried to say was not a problem (was falling out of wall and could see outside around the A/C). Bed was clean/comfy. Breakfast poorly stocked. Tub didn’t drain.

I originally was very thankful the staff accommodated my request to be in the first floor due to an injury but that was where my positive experience ended. The motel hallways smelled horrible and the couches in the room needed a good clean. I had booked my room months in advance knowing it was a big weekend for tournaments. I had paid for 2 nights checked in for both nights but there was a glitch in their system and I was checked out after 1 night. They claimed that my room had already been snatched up and they had no room to accommodate me for the second night. Instead of calling the person who booked last minute I was asked to leave. I have yet to see the money refunded to my card. Never again will I stay here.

There was not a person at the front desk. My keys and paperwork were on the counter. We went up to the room and there was obvious evidence of bed bugs under the first bed. Went back downstairs and still no attendant. I called the number they had indicated to call because there was a an attendant. It just rang the phones right by us. I left a message indicating the situation and that I wanted a refund . Also wrote that on the paperwork. Left and went to the best western across the street.

The room assigned wasn't cleaned when we entered the room. The attendant did change our room immediately and walked us to the new room to make sure it was ok. Very quiet, though, so we slept well.

Service was poor, the keys and paperwork were just sitting at the front desk for anyone to grab. Ice machine was broken, coffee at breakfast was water. Not impressed…

When I got there no one was even working my room key and receipt were just left on the counter along with several other people's anyone could have gotten there before me and picked them up or better yet just let them self in the room and been waiting for us or me since I was there by myself the last time we stayed in this hotel there was a note on the counter and a phone to call and wake the person up to come to let us into a room it was against my better judgment to stay there again but as the other hotel in town was already full I had no choice this time

All those guests personal information was out for anyone to see and keys to their rooms just there for the taking. So many bad and very dangerous things could happen in that situation. We did happen to run into one staff member who was moving a gust from one room to another because their pull out sofa was inoperable. That employee said there is generally no one at the front desk after 9pm. That was not mentioned when our reservations were made. In addition to what I would call this security breach, when we got to our room, it felt so damp and humid. In fact, there was a large fan sitting on the table in the room blowing. Like they knew something was wrong, but didn’t finish fixing it, or if this was their fix, it wasn’t a good one. Of course there was no one at the front desk to discuss this with. Our bathroom had no shampoo in the shower in the bulk dispenser, but it did have a big metal grate over the back wall over the shower that was extremely rusty. When we got up in the morning, after an obviously not great night of sleep, there was no coffee in the airports at breakfast and trying to find the un-uniformed employee to fill the coffee was a problem. There were several guests just kind of wandering around with empty coffee cups trying to find someone who would make new coffee and fill the coffee dispenser. We finally gave up and left to get our own coffee.

The guy at the front desk was so nice and helpful, his name was Jeremy, I think. He was super helpful to my sister during her stay as well.

Staff was pleasant enough, smelled of marijuanna smoke on many occasions which I did not like at all, staff didn’t seem to look or act very professional……gal who checked me in was wearing leggings and a hoody. I had to walk down the hall and knock on a room door to get staff to check me in, looked as if I woke her up and I was around 6 pm. A bit run down but fairly clean. Just overall wasn’t as great as the rating that I had seen. Again staff was pleasant

Have stayed at this hotel quite a few times over the last 4.5 years. Highly recommend. Easy to find and comfortable rooms.

Hotel and staff where okay and friendly but the breakfast was nasty

The breakfast was bad, the bowl of apples were wrinkled and soft, the bread for toast was dry and hard, the food I ate tasted old like maybe past the expiration date, the condition and cleanliness of the breakfast area was not good, kind of like the person responsible for it just didn't give a crap. The bed was comfortable and I slept okay, the room and carpet were musty, overall the place could use a makeover. I feel like I overpaid for what I got by staying there.

The bathroom was missing 1 of the 4 bulbs in the light fixture. The entryway light did not work either. The floor in the bathroom was dirty. The juice machine at breakfast was out of order, the sausage was burnt and food was gone 1/2 hour before the closing of the continental breakfast. The ice machine did not work. Nobody ever at the front desk Hotel needs a lot of work!
