Thackray House

A good breakfast was served with plenty of choice. Hotel just reopened apparently on the 1 April and some aspects require improvement but the staff were very welcoming overall. We were upgraded to a suite due to our request for a walk in shower.The hotel is in a beautiful position with its gardens running down to the river.

As always a delightful stay. So welcoming and friendly - and the braw lounges and lovely gardens - mean the buildings and surrounds are as good as the staff. Only issue was the plug hole in our bath wasn't very secure and the bath water disappeared - just when I wanted a jacuzzi in the bath!!!

My daughter and I stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit.
