Wer eine Unterkunft zu einem guten Preis sucht, ist hier richtig. Die Zimmer sollten Sie nicht mit deutschem Standard vergleichen, denn viele englische Gebäude sind alt und zum Teil renovierungsbedürftig. Unser Zimmer war sauber, das Bad (mit den oben genannten Einschränkungen) auch. Großes Plus: Die Unterkunft ist ein Pub und es gibt dort eine Vielzahl gezapfter Biere zur Auswahl, u.a. auch Guinness. Absolut top ist die Küche. Die Speisen sind sehr liebevoll angerichtet und schmecken lecker. Das englische Frühstück ist einfach genial. Parkplätze befinden sich hinter dem Haus. Aufgrund des Pub-Betriebs ist es abends ein bisschen lauter, was uns aber nicht weiter gestört hat. Die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter wäre da noch erwähnenswert - alle sind sehr bemüht, dass es auch an nichts fehlt. Wir können den Pub nur empfehlen und würden dort wieder übernachten.

Nice and convenient place. Just remember that your room is right over the pub so there is some noise.

We stayed in room three in the main building. It’s the shabbiest room we’ve ever stayed in. The carpet going upstairs was absolutely filthy and was an indication of the state of the room. It couldn’t have seen a lick of paint for twenty years and there were stains on the walls that looked like a drink had been split and had run down them. The bedding was clean but the bed was so hard we were tossing and turning to avoid pressure points. Every hour there was a loud noise for about ten seconds, which seemed to be a pump. The bathroom seemed to be clean but I couldn’t be confident that the shower was because it was so shabby, so we didn’t use it; luckily, we were only staying one night. Kingsclere is lovely but we won’t stay here again.

The venue wasn't open on arriving but gained access. The room was basic,but clean except for the wc that had been used ( not only as a urinal if you know what I mean )but not flushed or cleaned. Then informed that no restaurant facility's were availability. On requesting for a taxi informed none local and available on pre booking only. Had we know these details in advance we would have driven home after the function rather than back to the accommodation where noise from the bar until closing time was loud and not the most comfortable mattresses. Friendly pub manager raised this review.

Very pleasant staff although room could do with an update. Very quiet and easy to get to.
