Spark By Hilton Walker Grand Rapids North

Arrived after a long day to be greeted by an annoyed and rude front desk employee who practically just tossed the keys at us and told us to sign. “Your room is somewhere down there” and walked away. Entered the room and immediately noticed it was not well cleaned and had moths in the room. The bathroom floor was filthy, the shower was dripping. We tried to ignore as much as we could and got some sleep. The only bright side was a kind breakfast attendant who helped my daughter and checked in on us. The pool area had not been cleaned. There were food wrappers and boxes and napkins sopping wet from what must have been a group the night before. We have stayed at many Hilton properties and will never again stay at a Spark.

I can overlook the chipped paint, the sketchy elevator, but what I can’t get over is the rude staff. You could tell that they didn’t want to deal with people! Check in was blunt, short and not welcoming at all. Then an employee yelled at my kiddos for running up the stairs even though I was with them the whole time. I will not be returning to this hotel. And for what it’s worth we come to this area EVERY year!

Clean rooms, parking was tight. Breakfast didn't have a lot of options like other hotels

Stayed here overnight for a show in downtown Grand Rapids. Hotel was very clean and price was reasonable. Breakfast has quick grab and go options like bagels, toast, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Location has easy access to freeway. Would stay here again

The breakfast was okay. A few choices of dry cereal, bagels, boiled eggs, and yogurt. Typical breakfast but can make do with something. Sometimes the elevator wasn’t working and took the stairs which was fine for me but may not for others.
