over all a wonderful stay, especially a walk in the old city. or a cup of latte afterward. only remember to call the hotel to arrange luggages pick up from the street below, since car are not allow to drive up to the hotel.

Parking on the street was easy. Though the steep walk uphill to the hotel would be a challenge for some, we found it delightful and hotel staff informed us that they have a luggage transfer service for people who arrrive with heavy bags. Room was lovely and the ktichenette was one of the best supplied we have ever seen, including utensils, pans, and plenty of dishes.
Parking on the street was easy. Though the steep walk uphill to the hotel would be a challenge for some, we found it delightful and hotel staff informed us that they have a luggage transfer service for people who arrrive with heavy bags. Room was lovely and the ktichenette was one of the best supplied we have ever seen, including utensils, pans, and plenty of dishes.

Wonderful property with 17th century roots. Short walk to medieval town centre and surrounding panoramic views of countryside. Bring walking shoes since all streets are up and down, and no elevators inside buildings. Easy access to good food and wine all over town including at the Palazzo.

The property is very close to several churches, museums and the castle. Some of the ammenities like the pool, jacuzzi, spa are closed due to maintenance, and the parking lot is not on site, some walking required. The breakfast quality and selection were excellent!

Struttura bellissima nel centro storico. Non si può parcheggiare e si arriva solo a piedi però fanno il servizio bagagli (arriva un dipendente della struttura a prendere i bagagli direttamente dove si è parcheggiata l’auto). Colazione spettacolare.

Sehr schöne Zimmer. Parkplatz ist etwas schwierig zu finden. Hotel ist etwas versteckt. Aber mit Google Maps auf Fußgänger einfach zu finden. Wenn in der Tiefgarage Platz ist, sind es nur 2 Minuten bergauf laufen. Schöne Sicht von Hotel aus. Im Zimmer alles ist alles da was man braucht!

Panorama stupendo sul Castello e sul Borgo Medioevale, struttura dentro un palazzo antico nobiliare con affreschi su pareti e soffitti, arredata con gusto. Personale gentile e molto professionale, struttura pulita, soleggiata e molto silenziosa. Il contesto è decisamente interessante per la vicinanza con molti dei più bei borghi e le attrazioni naturali della Tuscia, ristoranti e taverne dove gustare le prelibatezze del posto. Consigliatissimo

O Hotel localizado em em uma pequena localidade na região de Viterbo tem uma estrutura semelhante a um castelo, muito bonito, limpo e confortavel, cafe da manhã bom, bom atendimento. No entanto, ele fica no alto de uma ladeira incrime, que não da acesso a carro, as malas sobem em um pequena automovel (que tem horario para funcionar, tivemos que aguardar um pouco) os hospedes devem subir andando, ficando dificili para quem tem dificulddae de locomoção. Minha esposa e eu passamos uma noite neste hotel e tivemos uma experiência incrível. Desde o início, o atendimento foi impecável: entramos em contato por e-mail para esclarecer dúvidas sobre o acesso ao hotel e a presença de ZTL (Zona de Tráfego Limitado), já que estaríamos de carro. A resposta foi extremamente rápida e eficiente, e o hotel está localizado fora da área ZTL, o que facilitou muito nosso deslocamento. Quanto à nossa estadia, o quarto superou nossas expectativas. Era espaçoso, com um design sofisticado e acolhedor, e o banheiro e closet eram amplos e bem equipados. A limpeza e o conforto estavam em altíssimo nível. O café da manhã também merece destaque, com uma variedade de opções frescas e deliciosas que agradaram a todos os gostos. Outro ponto que realmente nos encantou foi a vista do quarto: tivemos o privilégio de contemplar o castelo da cidade, o que tornou nossa estadia ainda mais especial. This was the cleanest, friendliest, most beautiful hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The value was absolutely worth it. Our room was beautiful, quiet and private with a stunning view. The breakfast that is included in the morning was top notch. The staff was kind and helpful!

Palazzo Catalani Resort was an amazing hotel settled on top of a hill overlooking the quint Italian city streets with amazing views on the Orsini Castle. If you ever wanted to experience what it is like to live like a local Italian in a small city surrounded by ancient buildings, coffee shops and churches, this is the perfect setting. The actual resort covers a large area with breathtaking views from every angle. The rook top garden is especially amazing with gardens and seats everywhere situated with a view of the surrounding area. Pictures do NOT do it justice. The rooms themselves have been remodeled with all the modern amenities but some of the medieval door hardware, wardrobes and styling is straight out of the renaissance. Perfect combination of old and new. We were in Room 7 which was had a living room, dining room/kitchen, with 2 bedrooms (2 twin and 1 queen) with a full shower (no tub) bathroom as well as a ½ bath in the master room. The only issue was parking- BUT as soon as you figured it out it was simple. The public parking lot is less than a 5-minute walk and the steward helps you when you arrive and takes your luggage to your room- just call when you get there. Highly recommend for a piece of authentic Italian living on your vacation.

We were here 13 years ago and loved the place so much we returned at great expense and distance from our other plans. On our return we were pleased to see it was still the same charing place and the views and surrounding city are breathtaking. The problem with nothing changing is stuff like the internet. We still had the same old login setup as 13 years ago, with only 2 devices allowed for snail-speeds, and on the day of our checkout (at midnight), the internet shut off for us completely! The complementary breakfast is a total joke now too. (I added a picture of what they call a buffet breakfast.) You're handed a menu when you are seated where you can purchase eggs, bacon, or anything like that, but at very high prices. (That wasn't the case before and it was very upsetting! It's pointless to call what they include a breakfast at all.) Or bed was a pull-out and that wasn't mentioned in our booking! NOT HAPPY... but as far as pull-outs go, it wasn't too bad. Still... Over $100 for that!?

Great property. Only issue was the bed was a “pull out” couch which was not very comfortable, it was fair. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

We were hesitant to book here because so many reviews complained about the steep walk from the parking lot. It is a four minute walk up or down. We are in our mid seventies and had no problem. The whole town is somewhat steep so if you have serious mobility problems, this is probably not the place to visit. The hotel employees were all lovely and they handled the luggage. The town is charming with many good restaurants. We loved our stay in this charming and very affordable hotel.

Minha esposa e eu passamos uma noite neste hotel e tivemos uma experiência incrível. Desde o início, o atendimento foi impecável: entramos em contato por e-mail para esclarecer dúvidas sobre o acesso ao hotel e a presença de ZTL (Zona de Tráfego Limitado), já que estaríamos de carro. A resposta foi extremamente rápida e eficiente, e o hotel está localizado fora da área ZTL, o que facilitou muito nosso deslocamento. Quanto à nossa estadia, o quarto superou nossas expectativas. Era espaçoso, com um design sofisticado e acolhedor, e o banheiro e closet eram amplos e bem equipados. A limpeza e o conforto estavam em altíssimo nível. O café da manhã também merece destaque, com uma variedade de opções frescas e deliciosas que agradaram a todos os gostos. Outro ponto que realmente nos encantou foi a vista do quarto: tivemos o privilégio de contemplar o castelo da cidade, o que tornou nossa estadia ainda mais especial. Appena arrivati abbiamo parcheggiato in un parcheggio pubblico a circa 400m dalla struttura, che si deve raggiungere poi a piedi. Comodo il servizio di pick up dei bagagli. La struttura è molto bella. Mentalmente pronti per un pomeriggio di relax in spa, veniamo avvisati al check in che la spa era full e che andava prenotata in anticipo a causa dell’esaurimento dei posti. Arrivati in camera ci accorgiamo che lo split non produceva aria calda e che il termosifone del bagno era rotto: non ci hanno cambiato camera ma fornito gentilmente una stufetta elettrica con la quale abbiamo potuto passare la notte. Tuttavia apprezzabile la disponibilità del personale nel trovare una soluzione. Colazione buona e variegata.

Everything about this property is amazing! Rooms, comfort, breakfast, friendliness, helpfulness… The hotel arranged a taxi for us from the train station and to buy bus tickets. They were able to get us tickets to all the Chestnut Festival activities.

Fantastic historic property in amazing 14th century city center. Highly recommend. Food was great. They coordinated a driver (Alessandro) to drive us to a winery and some area attractions. Highly recommended.

Palazzo Catalani Resort was an amazing hotel settled on top of a hill overlooking the quint Italian city streets with amazing views on the Orsini Castle. If you ever wanted to experience what it is like to live like a local Italian in a small city surrounded by ancient buildings, coffee shops and churches, this is the perfect setting. The actual resort covers a large area with breathtaking views from every angle. The rook top garden is especially amazing with gardens and seats everywhere situated with a view of the surrounding area. Pictures do NOT do it justice. The rooms themselves have been remodeled with all the modern amenities but some of the medieval door hardware, wardrobes and styling is straight out of the renaissance. Perfect combination of old and new. We were in Room 7 which was had a living room, dining room/kitchen, with 2 bedrooms (2 twin and 1 queen) with a full shower (no tub) bathroom as well as a ½ bath in the master room. The only issue was parking- BUT as soon as you figured it out it was simple. The public parking lot is less than a 5-minute walk and the steward helps you when you arrive and takes your luggage to your room- just call when you get there. Highly recommend for a piece of authentic Italian living on your vacation.

The property is very close to several churches, museums and the castle. Some of the ammenities like the pool, jacuzzi, spa are closed due to maintenance, and the parking lot is not on site, some walking required. The breakfast quality and selection were excellent!

Struttura bellissima nel centro storico. Non si può parcheggiare e si arriva solo a piedi però fanno il servizio bagagli (arriva un dipendente della struttura a prendere i bagagli direttamente dove si è parcheggiata l’auto). Colazione spettacolare.

Such a beautiful resort. Absolutely breathtaking. The staff were all so amazing and helpful. Rome was about 1.5 - 2 hours away by transit but it was so worth it to stay at this resort. Very easy to take the transit. Very authentic Italian and lots of shopping and restaurants near by. This resort is up on a high hill that cars cannot go up so be prepared to walk up a step hill or 2 but worth it!

I feel really confused by this hotel. It seems like the furniture that’s in the pictures was swapped out afterwards for cookie cutter hotel furniture. I asked about where to eat in the area as it was my last night and was told the hotel restaurant was nice. I was skeptical but saw there was Michelin acknowledgment and good reviews so I tried it. It was incredibly, unbelievably bad. A panazella salad that was celery and grey tomatoes?. Only only choice for wine and it was an acidic 30€ Cabernet Sauvignon? There was no one in the kitchen except two people. I actually cancelled my dinner half way through because I was just getting angry. The whole stay felt like I was on a weird hidden camera show. I will say the rooms are large and the pool is incredible though.

This was the cleanest, friendliest, most beautiful hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The value was absolutely worth it. Our room was beautiful, quiet and private with a stunning view. The breakfast that is included in the morning was top notch. The staff was kind and helpful!

Fantastic historic property in amazing 14th century city center. Highly recommend. Food was great. They coordinated a driver (Alessandro) to drive us to a winery and some area attractions. Highly recommended.

Pour la chambre rien à dire, petit déjeuner moyen et en revanche parking pas du tout à l'hôtel. Il est en contrebas à une centaine de mètres avec une montée à pied sur une pente â 15'.

Magnifique Hôtel. Très bien situé. Chambre spacieuse. L'hôtel se charge de vous trouver une place sur un parking à une centaine mètres. Super expérience! Personnel sympathique.

I stayed at this hotel recently, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. The hotel hosted an 18‑year‑old birthday party with a live band playing roughly three meters outside our room. We were never informed that there would be a party, and although staff told us the music would end before midnight, it continued well past that. We have multiple videos showing just how loud it was. At the same time, the hotel had no functioning internet due to a storm the day before. Because of this outage, the hotel’s key‑card system didn’t work, meaning we couldn’t get a key to our room and had to go to reception every time we needed staff to unlock the door. The lack of internet also meant the staff couldn’t check room availability when we asked to change rooms because of the party, and we were eventually told that everything was booked. There was no apology or acknowledgement of how disruptive all of this was. Between the extreme noise, the lack of communication, the missing amenities, and the inability to access our room independently, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I cannot recommend staying here.
