Good thing - close to casinos and the shower was nice because it didn't have a bathtub. However, the hot tub was broken, no towels in the pool area, our room key didn't work, breakfast was terrible, and loud pounding noises throughout the night. Not like other hotels in this chain. Poorly managed property.

It was one of the most peaceful properties I’ve stayed at. The hot tub and pool were amazing, my husband and I had the whole thing to ourselves. The gym was clean and had good equipment. The breakfast was the only thing that I would say I wasn’t even mildly impressed by, but I would still absolutely come here again for the price :) front desk was also very kind and helpful.

Room was clean, hot tub and pool were nice. Breakfast was OK, always love the waffle makers.

The pool was kind of dirty and the treadmill didn't work properly. The staff were great, very friendly.

Its clean, but worn down. The pool area has so much chlorine that my eyes stung just being in the room.

The check In process was quick and easy with no issues. The lobby was nice and inviting, but once in the elevator and into the hallway for our room it was definitely very outdated and not very clean. Our room was okay, nothing special. Very outdated as well. The breakfast was average, no real complaints there. There was a pool and a hot tub, the jets in the hot tub were not working. The pool was okay, but very small. My biggest complaint, was the morning of check out, I opened the drawer next to the beds and found a live cockroach inside. I was very disgusted and then very paranoid that we likely slept with bugs in the room the whole 2 nights without knowing.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located. Though it was close to lots of businesses, it was quiet and calm. It is certainly in need of updates and touch ups, but the room was clean and comfortable. The pool was nice, but the hot tub water appeared to be an off-putting brown color with some kind of sand at the bottom. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good stay for a quick overnight to visit the QC area.

The place was filthy. Roaches in the room, mold on curtains, food on walls….NEVER AGAIN

Insane amount of mold in the vents and bathtub. Not safe. Stayed there for two hours after a 12 hour drive and they refused to refund me for those 2 hours.

Shower and faucet in bathroom were leaking and spraying everywhere. Floors are terribly dirty and SEVERAL hairs from previous guests were in the shower.

Cobwebs in the corners of ceiling, bathroom was grose!!

It was dirty the rooms were dirty with stains all over the carpet and dirty bathroom. Busted up tile and grout. The pool was murky and just overpowering stench of chlorine to cover up the lack of maintenance. Nothing worked properly tv was broken in room. The complementary breakfast was an hour late and way under par. They did as little as possible to get away with the accommodation that they advertised. This was our second year of staying here and let me tell you we won’t be back. Not sure if it’s under new ownership but it’s definitely not worth it ! Wish I would have stayed somewhere else.

I was given a room that smelled terrible, the carpeting had large stains, the shower had black mold in the caulking. I asked for another room and was quickly given a replacement which was better. Recommend that management do random walk thru's of their rooms to do quality checks to help avoid these issues.

Bathroom was dirty, especially the toilet (Yuck)!

The elevator was dirty with dust, wrappers & hair. Our room had what appeared to be dark brown splatter or old blood on the walls near toilet—you could tell it isn’t deep cleaned, tile was dirty in bathroom (clear dirt in crevices), a few beard trimmings around sink with longer hair that is as not ours. There was a musty odor that smelled like mildew or mold in the room—possibly from a/c filter. Turning off an/c & aniring out the room did not really help. The hot tub & pool area wasn’t clean at all. Water looked dirty in the hot tub & you could smell the strong chlorine from down the hall. Towel hamper was overflowing with towels, as if no one was keeping up with any cleanliness. It was disappointing because the photos looked beautiful. It was not at all the freshness I was expecting, especially from reviews. Positives—breakfast was fair, the gentleman serving breakfast was very nice & happy! It was very cheap for one night.

My family was visiting St Ambrose and only needed a room for 1 night. We were allowed to check in early which was nice, but when we got into the room we noticed a musty smell. The curtains had water stains and mold spots on the bottom and the bathroom was surface clean but still dirty. The grout on the tile was black. It smelled like someone vomited in the sink and it wasnt properly cleaned. The bath tub was dripping and the caulk was cracked and visibly rusty and moldy as well. The beds were clean and comfortable which was good. There are several other hotels in the area that if my son attends Ambrose we would stay at. We didnt pay a lot for the room which was great but i wont be staying here again.

We were traveling over night and the hotel was accommodating and let us check in a night earlier. However, when they did this the reservation some how got messed up and put us checking out a day sooner. I got a phone call asking about check out and I explained we weren\'t suppose to check out until the next day. Then when I did check out I was charged more for Saturday night than what I booked on Orbitz. I questioned the front desk and he told me "Because Saturdays cost more". I wasn\'t going to argue over $10. Overall the hotel is very basic and could use a update. Cracked tiles in the bathroom and carpet was stained. AC in the room was noisy and made a lot of clanking sounds. But you also get what you pay for. Also it says they have a Fitness center but the treadmill didn\'t even work. Breakfast was good though even with just basic options.

Over all it was a pleasant stay but the bathroom needs updated. The sleeping area is much nicer than the bathroom. Chips and rusting all over in the bathroom. Bedding was not very breathable and could hear when people moved in bed like a plastic sound.

Front desk not friendly. Building is falling apart. Water either burning hot or ice cold. Thin walls. Convenient location. Comfy bed. Breakfast host gentleman very pleasant and helpful.

My husband and I take many overnight trips weather traveling for sports or music festivals and have stayed in all kinds of hotels. This hotel was on the nicer side of average. The beds were clean and comfortable, the room was clean, and the atmosphere was quiet in terms of people traffic. The service people were also nice and attentive, however, there were two issues that caused me to knock two stars. When we arrived they told us the satellite was down, to no fault of thier own, but they did not offer anything to make it up, not even a free water or something! The other issue was the room location. We had a corner room at the end of the hall by the stairs...very early in the morning beginning at 5:30 am the stair door was used non stop and every time it closed is sounded like our door was being opened and closed. We had gone to bed at 2 AM and morning traffic using that door on a Sunday was overwhelming. Next time we will make sure not to accept a end room. The breakfast in the morning was decent. Many hotels no longer offer breakfast, so this was nice. They have the waffle machine, cereals (hot & cold), Coffee was good, precooked egg rounds, sausage, and has browns, along with the regular selection of other continental breakfast items. Overall, having experience many many hotels, some that look nice outside are actually disgusting inside, Hiltons with roaches, thin walls, etc. etc....this was a nice that I would not mind staying at.

Old and dated. Smell of "old carpet" and shower curtain is ripped and water pressure isnt that good.

The staff was amazing and so sweet with our son! Always a smile on their face!

Front desk was very helpful

They were ao accomodating on letting us check in early. My husband had surgery and was done by 11:00 and the front desk clerk let us get in our room early. That was above and beyond! Thank you very much!!

This was our 6th year staying here because we always come up and stay for fair week. This has always been our home away from home and a great place to stay as why we always come back. But this trip has wrecked it all. From check in on Sunday we had no tv by Monday and it never got fixed, Tuesday the Wi-Fi went out for two days and they didn’t care about getting that fixed. When asked we were laughed at by the front desk staff. We were scolded for bothering them sitting in the lobby when we asked for more towels, the pool was absolutely disgusting and so when we asked them to please clean it we were laughed at again. They were letting people with little kids check in and not telling them the tv and Wi-Fi were out. It was overall a terrible stay and unfortunately will be our last here. I cannot believe how bad just a year later it was. To pay $1100 for mean and rude staff, no tv the entire trip, Wi-Fi out for days at a time, and a filthy pool…. I am beyond dissatisfied and disappointed in what used to be a great hotel. Hope this warns others. Sad:(

Everyone was very friendly and they were nice enough to let us check in earlier then 3pm. One of the employees stepped up and gave us a ride to couple places when the taxi was terrible.

Great stay! Our initial room smelled heavily of weed but the front desk was able to get us a new room. Super friendly night shift!

Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had options for complete meals. Front desk staff were friendly. All n all, it was a great stay!

Very nice. Bed looked “iffy” in terms of comfort but was great. Service is amazing from the super pleasant woman that check us in to the gentleman that helped serve breakfast. He was very friendly and made sure to check on everyone to make sure they had good. Will definitely come back and 100% recommend!

Front desk is Awesome! Nice big room & very convenient and comfortable! Lots of places to eat around the area. Definitely a good stay!

It was convenient. It was next to the casino. The elevator was a little bit funky, but other than that, it wasn’t bad. I’d stay there again.

Close to a lot of food options, Walmart, Target, Dick's etc. But by busy road and was a bit noisy but not late into night.

The location is convenient to everything in the QC> Room was very clean and quiet.

Great location for our trip!

The sleeping room clean, the bed comfortable. The breakfast very good, there were many choises. The man who maintained the food area was very attentive.

Check in staff was great. Breakfast was bust. Didn’t have have stuff laid out. Coffee urn was broken had to use drip pot. Molding around bathroom mirror falling down and bath exhaust fan was really loud. Sounded like something stuck in blades or blades out of balance

Everything was amazing. Bathroom needed updating and repair, but it was otherwise perfect. So many snacks and drinks available for purchase. Clean, delicious fully stocked breakfast, kind staff 24/7.

Quick check in, quiet atmosphere, convenient to shopping, restaurants. Parking lot is well lit. Breakfast options for hot food was not great.
