Stayed at Hampton Inn Alexandria/Pentagon South during our DC trip. Overall, it’s a good basic stay and definitely worth the price. The hotel is about a 15–20 minute drive from Washington, DC and most major attractions, which made it a convenient base for sightseeing. The property itself is a bit older, but they make up for it with cleanliness and good service. Everything in the room was clean and perfectly usable, and the staff maintained the place well. The complimentary breakfast was decent and a nice start before heading out for the day. The one major downside I noticed was the Wi-Fi. The hotel only had an unsecured Wi-Fi network, which was quite disappointing in this day and age. Reliable and secure internet is a basic expectation now, so hopefully the hotel upgrades its Wi-Fi infrastructure soon. That said, for the price, cleanliness, and proximity to DC, it’s still a solid option and worth considering for a practical stay.
