Maryville Extended Stay

The stay was fine. Bed was comfortable. Finding the hotel was a challenge. GPS took us to a hotel but not the one we booked. Good thing I went in to.ask where the other hotel was or I would never have found it. Turns out I had to check in with the hotel GPS brought us to and the hotel we were booked for was behind that property. The parking lot was full of pot holes and weeds the whole situation seemed very sketchy but after we figured out the check-in process things went pretty smoothly. The exterior looks very run down but the room was clean. Not for me. Probably would mot stay again.

The room was clean m, there was a weird smell in the room. Behind the bed needed cleaning BAD! Overall the room was fine for what I needed.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very good for resting. I recommend it.

Upon pulling up there were a large group of people just hanging out drinking and smoking weed. Check-In was weird. You have to go to the hotel next door, managed by the same people.. They tell you they have a breakfast but that it's only for their hotel. I thought that was weird too. I would watch everybody walk over and eat anyway. There is a hidden fee of a $250 deposit. It is listed as a pet friendly place. There are a lot of dogs there and they are mostly off leash. We stayed there twice. First time the room was great. We would have stayed longer but we were told that they're making everyone leave because the rooms would be rented for Graduation. We thought that was weird, being told that they couldn't honor our reservation. So we left. We got our deposit back 48 hours later, no issues. The second time we stayed the room was disgusting. It smelled like urine and had a odor eliminator container on top of the A/C. I assumed they knew about the smell because why would they put an Odor Eliminator thing in the room. They were booked up, no room to move to, so we dealt with it. Upon checking out we did our usual cleaning of the room and was awaiting our deposit. A week went by and no deposit. I called and was told they would have someone call me back later. They called back that evening to say that the room smelled like urine and they would be keeping $150 of my $250 deposit. Unbelievable. And she said the $100 I would receive in 1-2 days. This is day 3, still nothing.

Booked room and arrived to find rooms were double booked. Clerk would not honor price at adjacent property owned by the same company. Ended up leaving to find other lodging. Was billed through Expedia and when refund was requested, they claimed I had stayed at the property when I had not. Spoke with the manager "Jessie", the following morning just to share the experience and maybe they could use the experience to improve their process and customer experience. She only defended the higher rate offered and blamed Expedia and her software for the problems. I will return to the area for work, but will not choose Extended Stay Maryville nor Park Inn by Raddison after they tried to pull an extra $100 out of me after I had a reservation and had paid. In my opinion and experience, you get the patron in a room and figure your other problems out later. You wouldn't miss the $100, but you'll miss all the profit from future stays....guaranteed.
