Cockatoo Hideaway: surrounded by nature

I had made enquires about this property as I was concerned because we were travelling and staying with elderly persons. I was advised that this property would have easy access for them. Unfortunately, this was not the case for us.This property has a bedroom with a half bath up stairs and three bedrooms with a main bathrooms and ensuite down stairs. The main bathroom has a bath that you need to step into to have a shower which was an issue for us as we had two elders staying with us and they could not climb into the tub to have a shower. Thank goodness for the walk in shower in the ensuite.There is no access to the upstairs section of the house via the external path due to it being very over grown. This became an issue as one of our elders as they would not go up via the internal staircase.

The accommodation was lovely. Perfect for our extended family to have a relaxed stay. We agreed that it would be a good place to return to in the future. The drive to the location was picturesque. I also appreciated the way the owner was able to respond to our request regarding check in arrangements.

House was absolutely amazing, photos dont do it justice with how impressive it looks on the inside! Property was clean and welcoming. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils which is so handy for a weekend away. Great communication with host and easy check in/ check out.There is no street parking but there was plenty of space for a couple of cars at the top of the driveway. The driveway was a little tricky to manoeuvre and was much easier with larger cars however could be managed with smaller cars if needed.Thanks for a great stay!

Three things! Driveway from hell - 4WD & experienced drivers only! Definitely hasn’t been professionally cleaned, ever! Thirdly, one can’t clean it themselves as 1 dishcloth & tea towel for 7 people.
