Old, tired and dirty hotel. Staff did the bare minimum. Walls full of dirt and nicks, bathroom smelled rotten, no cold water in shower, hair in bed.

It’s a very big but very nice hotel. Our room was good enough, beds comfortable, but as with SO many hotels, there’s no-where to hang towels and so things feel perpetually damp. You have to be prepared to queue if you have any questions for reception, or to check in or check out. Took 45 mins to check in as the queue was big. Breakfast was nice, lots of variety. Pool was lovely, plenty of sunbeds, clean and nice bar area.

The Palladium is undeniably a very slick operation. Modern and stylish, with interesting architecture and comfortable rooms. It is let down by two important things, the food and the very expensive add on for the spa. The food is lacklustre and a typical ‘all inclusive’ buffet affair. Enough said. The pool area is clean and spacious but very busy, so much so that we looked into the advertised ‘chill out’ adult only pool up on the hill behind the main building. Shockingly this was €25 for just two hours use. This included one drink, but seemed prohibitively expensive. If you’re looking for a fun family oriented visit, you should be fine, if you prefer boutique facilities, look elsewhere.

Hotel beautiful. Central/communal areas nicely decorated. Staff (especially at reception)were friendly and helpful. Lovely location for the old and new town. Some of the fixed furnishings in the bedroom were a little worn but still comfortable. Would definitely recommend to others.
