Motel 6-Belmont, CA - San Francisco - Redwood City

I arrived around 11:30 ish for check in Saturday, August 16. Staff decent. They were kind/courteous for checking in and out. They lack (or tired of) inform guests the elevator is out of service, still. Nor did the venue fail to mention in description of selecting rooms thru Expedia! I’ve been to this venue a few times for convenience and pricing. The price should be reduced even more. For the negligence of maintenance (elevator), run down of building C, and the roads/pavement conditions driving in at this particular venue. Way too many pot wholes and unevenness! It has been over 2 years now. Unbelievable! Still have not fixed the elevator over in building C. Such an inconvenience hauling my own luggage up 3 flights of stairs! Especially check in this late! Building C dire need for a well long over due make over! Cons: -Elevator still out of commission over 2 years! -Hallways of this building needs to be upgraded. Very dingy and musty. Not well lit. -Rooms need to be refreshed. Very basic. -No mini fridge, a basic coffee maker, or microwave. -Bathroom definitely needs upgrades. -Bathroom sink is more like a hand sink literally. -Shower is very basic and the water is sub par. -No any type of delivery drop off in front of our door! Drop off is in the front desk lobby, in another building! PRO: - A/C works well( in the room I stayed in) -Bed was clean and mattress was comfortable. -Bathroom assorted towels are clean. Building C need desperate attention!

For a Motel 6, this was pretty good. The room was very spacious, had a refrigerator, and there is a pool and hottub. Most areas were clean. The only significant issue is there is mossy slime around the rim of the hottub. This was not only gross, but very slippery and dangerous. They also need more and better towels, but it's a Motel 6, so expectations must be curbed. It exceeded my expectations in room size and amenities. I would stay again.

Elevator, ice machine and key card not working

Pool was closed.

Clean, convenient and inexpensive. Pool and hot tub were great. Check in was easy, staff were helpful.

I wasn't notified that there wasn't a working elevator in the building. I have to carry 2 heavy suitcases to the 3rd floor and drive in circles to find the right building.

Only one of the vending machines worked, no ice, lack of wall outlets was a bummer. All associates were pleasant and helpful.

I was very pleasantly surprised with our stay here. The reviews had me nervous but it was perfect for what we needed. Beds were comfy, clean room, good front desk service. Pool and hot tub were great. Overall perfect experience.

The hot tub was ice cold like a pool. Very deceiving to list a spa, but have the heat off to it. Many things were broken at the hotel the main door to the hotel was broke so no security there our rooms bathtub would pour out hot water but no cold water it would come out at a drop. Air conditioning did not work in the room. Broken electrical plates. Had to look for a working ice machine as there are no fridges in the room and the first one was not working at all. I definitely don't recommend staying here very disappointed and feel cheated as we booked it to use the hot tub knowing my wife's legs swell up driving that far and that the hot water would swell them down but we could not use the hot tub and could not even use a bathtub to do that.

We enjoyed our stay, especially the pool and hot tub!

Check in went fine. The property is in poor condition and dirty. Our room was disgusting - black mold in the shower and sink- inches from where the toothbrush goes. There was no shampoo. A representative from motel 6 called about an hour after we checksee if we needed anything and offered a room change . We were settled alreafy and declined, as we could not imagine other rooms were betterneeded anything. W

The cleanliness of the floor could definitely be improved (floor sticky and remnants of hair under the dining table) Also general up keep of the bathroom facilities (bar in shower found to be showing rust) would be great.

The room i stayed in if you look under the heater part of it is sticking out which is dangerous. Bedding was a bit dirty something was stuck on it. When i callled the front desk no one was willing to help. Ice machine was broken and vending machine took my money and didnt give me my drink. First motel 6 i stayed at that i wasnt happy with

The room had urinary smell. The mattress was horrible, which I felt like lying on straws. Building C looks unclean and unsafe. My experience was ultimately horrible. I would never come back again and wanted people to know my experience and avoid this hotel.

We stayed two nights. There were toenail clippings on the floor along with popcorn. I told the front desk immediately. There was nothing they could do except switch rooms. I didn’t want to so they assured me it would be cleaned the next day. Nope, never cleaned. And management couldn’t do anything except give me a 10% discount but I’d have to call Expedia for that. Too much of a hassle.

This hotel is dirty, bed sheets and cover were dirty, bed was shaking, toilet seat was broken and it smells

I shouldn’t have expected much from a Motel. The staff were incredible! They were very helpful. Got us checked in very fast. The rooms however were very filthy. The bathrooms looked like it wasn’t cleaned for years. Gunks and dirt were very visible. The linens and towels were physically stained. We used their spare blanket and pillow, the blanket had hairs which was not from us. The area also was very far from everywhere which is very inconvenient. I do not recommend this property at all.

Cleanliness is an issue

Staff was great when we checked in but when I told them the condition of our room they did not seem to care. The walls had mold from the condensation the window brought in, the floors looked like a crime scene happened there. No extra furniture but a bed and tv stand. There was blood on the toilet seat. Overall disgusting and sad about the service we got when brought to the front desks attention. The reviews and pictures on the website are very misleading. I will never stay at a motel 6 again.

No internet. A huge NO! No power outlets for devices. Vending machines were not vending. No stores around. The air conditioner was reasonably quiet. The shower was great. Full power and hot. Grounds an motel need work.

I had to check in via a computer with a video chat in the lobby. The hotel is run down, the hallways were extremely hot which amplified odors in the hallways. My key would not work in the building door, which I found out after a long day of travel and with all my belongings in my arms that I was trying to take to my room. The room is oddly oversized with furniture that does not fill it up and it is dated. There were people hanging out in the parking lot. I wanted to leave and book another hotel.

No working wifi

It was a cheap hotel. Front desk staff were very friendly. The internet connection kept dropping and the tv was constantly freezing. No fan in the bathroom, no complimentary shampoo, and the sink faucet splashed everywhere. Terrible water pressure. Killed 2 roaches in the bathroom. Walls are thin, and we were put right next to the elevator. There was only 1 outlet in the whole bedroom.

The hotel is cheaper than others but you compromise for an old and smelly room masked by strong air freshener. The room also do not having certain necessities: no kleenex, shampoo, refrigerator or microwave. The parking lot is around in the back with some street looking people hanging around, making it feel unsafe.

There was also a strong fresh paint smell in the hallway. Overall, the hotel was fine for a quick stay, but there are very limited options nearby, so you’ll need to drive everywhere.

The rooms were big and clean. Good strong shower, comfortable bed, multiple outlets for all my electronics. I didn’t use the laundry room or pool. Close to San Francisco

Fine for 1 night after flying in from UK. One elevator not working. Could do with a hairdryer in room (available on request) a fridge would have been an improvement as would some shampoo and shower gel. Room was spacious and well laid out. In summary decent for the price

Internet is HORRIBLE.

Check in was weird and you check in with a kiosk and a live agent connected to the kiosk so no staff was available right after the beginning of 3pm check in. Property looked to have 4 different buildings and only one of which was new. Got placed in a building on the 3rd floor and the elevator was not in service. Room itself was ok and bed wasn’t bad either. Also just seemed like a sketchy area. Otherwise seemed quiet on a Sunday night.

Staff was excellent

The worst experience. Was placed in an ADA room. The room was dirty, linen was old and tattered. When I turned on the shower, it and the toilet flooded. In a panic, I called the front desk and the female employee yelled at me to say “ what do you mean flooding? We don’t have any more rooms for you!” When I attempted to respond, she interrupted to say the same thing. Finally, I was able to explain that 1) I did not need an ADA room and 2) I just wanted to take a shower. I was eventually transferred to another room. My concern is that I had to pay and spend the whole night in a dirty and out of service room. I would like a refund for the first night.

Staff was the best!

My room is clean and smells ok but the main building smells bad and the elevator is broken and the stairwells and hallways are dirty. I don’t like the robot check in with the video chat, it’s dehumanizing.

Receptionists great customer service

Everything about this property is what you would expect. Tiny little cockroaches crawling everywhere. Crackheads littering the hallways. Maids that don’t speak a lick of English and are rude as hell, and will accuse you of smoking in your room, even though you go outside to smoke. And even more, rude front desk people. Anyone heard of customer service? Not there. Avoid at all costs.

Staffing was super Friendly, property clean, check in and out process very simple! I would definitely book again!

Very well located just off the freeway. Nice staff. Very clean. Only drawback is the property is quite old and has really (really) old single pane windows, some of which don't even quite fully close (like room 317). But definitely good value for the price, as usual with motel 6.

Great for the price and close to Airport!

I stayed at Motel 6 in Belmont and had a good experience. The location is very convenient, especially if you’re traveling to or from the San Francisco Airport—it’s just a short drive away. The room was clean and had the basics I needed for a comfortable stay.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this great little Motel 6! Our room was clean, beds comfortable, and it even had an outdoor hot tub along with a heated pool! Super convenient location by the SFO airport. We were only here one night but would definitely stay again!

Clean room, great TV channels and a great breakfast luch restaurant on premises.

They out-sourced the check-in process which was clunky and unnecessary. The property smelled like sewage, fortunately only outside. At least the room was clean although semi outdated and very worn. Wifi was ok and AC unit was quiet. The connected brunch restaurant was great value.

Room was clean, and I especially appreciate a floor without carpet in a hotel room. The shampoo dispenser was filled with body soap which created lots of tangled hair. No face cloths. McDonald’s is right across the parking lot for breakfast.

Serve dinner at your cafeteria.

The Studio 6, unlike the Motel 6, is in the newer 4 story building, with a little better accommodations. I had a kitchenette, with a full size fridge, Kitchen sink, and stovetop burners. They both use the same lobby and parking. So if you have to stay longer, stay here. Has guests’s coin washers and dryers, too, if memory serves me. Best thing about this place is it has Hobee’s next door for great breakfasts, and it is pet friendly. Otherwise, it is a Motel, not a Hotel. It’s in the name. So keep your expectations low, and it works out better. If you have higher expectations, spend more elsewhere.

The water pressure in the sink was insane it flooded the bathroom each time turned on unless slowly turned on to a certain angle. We didn't get soap, shampoo, or conditioner in our room either. It was very well cleaned and the restaurant was PHENOMENAL!!! We went every morning except our last day and never were disappointed.

Stayed here one night after flying into San Francisco with my family of five before driving down to Yosemite. Greatly appreciated being able to get a room with three queen sized beds and at a great price to boot. The hotel was fine if that meets your needs. The room was generally clean, but the couch had some stains on it and it's certainly not luxurious. We did all sleep quite well and were glad it was a just a short drive from the airport. We also enjoyed a very nice breakfast at the connected restaurant. Staff at the property were very nice.

They do not have any coffee in the rooms and do not serve it until after 6am. Hallways and door to enter hallway to my room was not appealing.

Listen its a motel 6, theres no surprises here but the pool AND hot tub are clean, rooms n beds are clean and there is an amazing lil taco truck in the parking lot thats delicious and affordable.
