The Lodge @ Lodge Farm

Property is not inhabitable in the heat, we were due to stay during the heatwave and unfortunately as the entire side of the property is glass and how it faces, it gets even warmer in the evening as the sun comes round. We had taken tower fans with us in preparation but unfortunately due to travelling with a very small baby and a toddler we were not able to stay at the property more than a few hours as our baby became distressed in the temperature. Disappointed at the response from the host which was to ignore our message to say we had to leave that evening even though we still had days remaining on our booking. Was directed to Sykes after chasing who then said it was up to the host and they would come back to us which they did without any resolution….not even a sorry you weren’t able to stay and thanks for the feedback. Real shame as it’s in a nice setting with nice views but even with fans we couldn’t stay. Could also do with a refresh, there were hot water bottles left out on the beds so not sure when it was last checked before we were due to stay.
