En general el hotel es una buena opcion para psar una o dos noches en la zona. Las habitaciones estan bien, hay suficiente parquep y el personal es muy amable. Como area de mejora, nos pusieron en una habitacion cerca de la bodega y entonces a altas horas de la noche y en la madrugada habia mucho sonido. Proceso de check-in y check-out expedito y sencillo, y una excelente amabilidad por parte del personal. El desayuno incluido en el precio variado y muy buena cantidad. El menú a la carta para almuerzo y cena con muchas opciones y a un precio más que justo. Al ser miembros VIP Access, recibimos un upgrade de habitación mucho mejor que lo esperado; habitación extremadamente amplia, y comodidades muy buenas. Definitivamente un lugar al cual volver en una próxima visita a Golfito.

This place looks as of it uses to be a big deal, today it is rather worn out, with a bit of a "paranormal movie" spirit - especially in the basement department, but also on the main floor. This is to some extent also the case for the resturant/pool area, where the sauna, some of the toilets and dressing rooms are in a sad state. The pool itself appeared nice, and the fitness as well. However many locals kids and families use the pool, meaning there is a lot of noise as the whole village is playing and partying here. The hotel fitness is also open to the locals and used as a regular gym, which means there I a lot of people, compared to a normal hotel gym. For me, this meant there was a lot of people, and too little personal space - also compared to my local fitness back home. The breakfast was okay.

Nice little resort, the building is old but it is very well maintained. Everything was great except for service at the restaurant, very slow, but it was new year’s eve and new year’s day and i think they were a little under staffed.

This is an excellent value. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, which was like an expensive resort at a great non-resort price. Definitely look forward to staying again when we're back in Golfito.

Very large old property not well maintained. Low ceilings in hallways and passages, not ventilation, very little natural light. Halls are musty. Many beautiful areas, such as bars, old restaurant and lobby, no longer in use. We had double standard room. Water in shower lukewarm at best. Towels and bed linens good quality. Mattress ok, pillows lumpy and hard. Pool and breakfast areas are comfortable. Overall, disappointed in the facility. Would not stay here again.

Ninguna queja en la recepción, la dama Sophia con un excelente servicio al cliente . El tema de las instalaciones me queda debiendo sobre todo el tema de la piscina que al haber pase del día generalmente llega demasiada gente y uno que otro pasado de tragos lo cual genera un muy mal ambiente. Por otro lado el tema del restaurante es simplemente caótico, demasiado tiempo en atender y servir ( no lo vuelvo a repetir) .

The breakfast is ok . The girls didnt do much . I have visited this hotel mamy times and the food service needs improving at breakfast and around the pool. You would sell allot more drinks and snacks if staff were around and offered service . The rooms are beautiful and clean. We do get a suite to make our vacation special. Although one morning were were awakiken by a power outage and generator coming in it was so loud next to our rm 10 it scared us. Overall we realy like this hotel the manager and desk staff are very helpfull and welcoming.

It was so-so for us. The one positive thing is that the staff is wonderful! The pictures look prettier than in reality. We had a room in the basement with only a little window with bars in them looking into so some sort of parking/garbage area. It needs significant updates. We had booked 2 nights, but only stayed 1 and left to go elsewhere. The atmosphere is not great...we found it a bit depressing and felt stuck. Maybe it's just the time of year, weather?

In overall is a nice place. Has good amenities and the rooms are very comfortable. A few things could be improved like: There was REALLY BAD WiFi signal from the rooms in the lower ground floor. Something like this could be fixed with a repeater. The restaurant took around 30 minutes to deliver us dinner. Then 10 minutes to take our bill. Food was good but very slow service. In overall, my family enjoyed and will probably be back when staying in town. Those two little details didn't matter much but could be improved so the service is 10/10

No hot water in our room, until the following day. The TV wasn’t working for some unknown reason according to the staff. Breakfast was just ok and the food at the restaurant was fair. Would never go back. $10 credit A DAY for food and beverage was questioned by the staff and was told $10 for the stay.

Friendly and helpful staff. But the rooms need to be better maintained. We had to see 4 rooms because the first room had very poor wifi. The second room had no safe, the third had poor lighting and air conditioning. Finally, we chose the room with good wifi, near the reception area, good AC cooling, and the staff brought in two reading lamps and transferred a safe over from another room, but it wasn’t bolted in. Lastly, the TV was not a smart TV, so we couldn’t watch international news in English, and cable TV had only 4 English channels. Our bathroom sink had a leaky hot water faucet, so the staff merely shut it off at the bottom. It served the purpose when we needed hot water. The food was tasty, and service really good.

A little disappointing. The standard room is not the square footage advertised. It's small. Had to upgrade to a suite for the second night. TVs are small and far away. Wifi in the rooms is very weak. The lower floor is a little dungeon-like. But the gym and the pool across the street are huge.

The property is clean but is in great need of renovations. The ground-level rooms are dark and have bars in the windows. There is no other choice because all the rooms with 2 beds are on that floor. The pool area is great as well as all the staff we encountered.

I made my reservation through Expedia: 2 rooms with 2 people per room; upon our arrival the lady at the reception insisted that I only had one room booked and that I had to pay for the other; despite I showed my reservation and paid for 2 rooms. I had to get a little angry to solve the problem.

Everything was fine: nothing exceptional one way or another. The breakfast was great the day we arrived at 7 am but the day we showed up at 9, nothing had been replenished, food was cold etc. The staff at the restaurant soent more time socializing than busing tables or serving. The room was cleanz the beds were comfortable but the photos are deceiving - all the rooms with two beds are downstairs, which has 7 foot ceilings and zero natural light. My kids called the hallway the dungeon. There are some nice common areas throughout but nothing is used. There is a bar area in the basement that is reminiscent of some scene from The Shining. On check in the tv didn't work, we had no hot water and the fridge didn't work but maintenance staff were fadt and efficient, got everything working well. Overall, it's a nice spot but the hype sets the bar too high.

The hotel needs updating. Beds are uncomfortable mini fridge didn't work no coffee pot in the room. Free breakfast was horrible. No coffee before 7am. Golfito has no attractions very boring. We booked 5 nights left after 2
