It’s center of the downtown walking distance to the sunset beach a lot of nice delis and bistros . Downstairs is Woolworth food and bakery and grocery supermarket and also deli and coffee shop and smoothie shops in the downstairs plaza . Parking underground free of charge .

Pros: Nice property, excellent staff, secure access, easy onsite parking, clean comfortable bed, hot shower, cold air conditioning, and soft towels. Easy access to shops, restaurants, spa and art galleries. Cons: Limited table/counter space made it very difficult to set up the room for my stay. I was constantly needing to move things around to make coffee, charge electronics or eat. Lack of outlets made it difficult to charge electronics.

Lovely hotel with the most friendly staff. Access is a bit unusual, through a shopping mall during the day and through an underground car park at night. But once you’re in it’s very nice with a great restaurant and lovely views of the sea.

Lovely place to stay with 2 super grocery stores anf coffee shops downstairs and many restaurants and amenities in the area. The spacious clean and neat room, with kingsize bed, coffee machine, bar fridge, microwave and TV,.... All very pleasant.

The staff at this hotel were excellent and they do care for their customers. We were however checked in very late past the official time and one room did have a issue with the sink in the bathroom on the last day which lucky for me, didn't really impact the stay. Location is great and the mountain views are amazing in the morning.

I absolutely loved this hotel. I meant to stay for 5 nights and ended up staying for almost two weeks. The rooms are spacious, well kept and super clean. The hotel is located in a great area within a walkable distance to the promenade, bars and restaurants. But what is best is the amazing staff who truly makes you feel welcome. Special thanks to Tamika who is a super star!

Newkings exceded our expectations. Superb service from friendly staff. We stayed in room 313 which has a balcony with a stunning view of Lion's Head. The room was very spacious and nicely laid out. The attached restaurant is also superb. The street the hotel is on has some amazing restaurants, and is a 2 minute walk to the beach front.

There was no balcony on a room advertised as a balcony room. Sea gull nest in gutter with noisy chicks! Entry via a shopping centre. Sharing lift with shoppers. Patio window very stiff and difficult to open. Traffic noise. Staff good.

Had asked before booking to see if I could do a early check in as we were flying for over 20 hours they indicated they would do there best touched basis with them again before we arrived and asked what the chance were for a early check in they assured me that they would do there best we arrived at hotel at 9 only to check in at 2:45

The staff were very helpful. However, the hotel is located on the second floor of a shopping mall along a busy main street, right next to a gas station — not the most ideal setting for a relaxing stay. While the surrounding area is quite nice, the hotel’s location and setup leave much to be desired.

The staff at this hotel were excellent and they do care for their customers. We were however checked in very late past the official time and one room did have a issue with the sink in the bathroom on the last day which lucky for me, didn't really impact the stay. Location is great and the mountain views are amazing in the morning.

Lovely hotel! Perfect location in cape town, super convenient with a market and coffee shop on the first level, clean and cozy rooms. Didn't interact with the staff much but they were lovely when we did.

It’s center of the downtown walking distance to the sunset beach a lot of nice delis and bistros . Downstairs is Woolworth food and bakery and grocery supermarket and also deli and coffee shop and smoothie shops in the downstairs plaza . Parking underground free of charge .

Newkings exceded our expectations. Superb service from friendly staff. We stayed in room 313 which has a balcony with a stunning view of Lion's Head. The room was very spacious and nicely laid out. The attached restaurant is also superb. The street the hotel is on has some amazing restaurants, and is a 2 minute walk to the beach front.

Lovely place to stay with 2 super grocery stores anf coffee shops downstairs and many restaurants and amenities in the area. The spacious clean and neat room, with kingsize bed, coffee machine, bar fridge, microwave and TV,.... All very pleasant.

Ideal location for bars and restaurants. Friendly staff. Right inside a decent shopping complex with grocery stores and coffee shops. Great up market restaurant next door called Zest.

Nice Hotel and Staff in a great location with Unresponsive Management. We booked a 2 Bedroom Suite during a Heat Wave and could only use one Room due to an inoperable Air Conditioning unit. I was told their Maintenance person would try to make a repair for 3 days straight and no one ever showed. I emailed the Manager named Mario who still has not replied in over a week.A most unfortunate situation.

When we initially arrived, we were advised that it was too early to check in, which was fine and they stored our luggage, after looking up our booking on the system. We then returned some hours later to find that the hotel had overbooked and we had been moved to another hotel with an inferior room to that which we had booked and paid for. Having stored our luggage, we then had to move and incurred extra parking charges, which would not have arisen, had they advised us of the hotel change when we initially arrived. We did make contact with the hotel to voice our disappointment after our move, but got no reply and no apologies
