As a travel agent I called the hotel a few weeks in advance to see if their hotel was damaged by the last hurricane. The front desk worker said it was fine. When my guest arrived there was construction and part of the roof was gone. My guests did not feel safe staying there. My guests then were sent to another hotel. At least the manager was willing to cancel the hotel without fees.

Very small, 11 room, motel on state road 41 in Punta Gorda, Fl. Refurbished after the hurricanes and they did a great job. Small family owned. Very hospitable. Very affordable.

Inn suffering from hurricane damage from last year. Property 100 feet from major road with high traffic, with lots of noise. Tiled floors were new but there was nothing to buffer noise from room next door either. Will not return for future trips.

This is a very old motel. The room was clean, but it smelled of cleaning products and i think a musty smell in the bathroom. If it had been cheaper, i would have expected this, but we paid $200 to stay at this hotel, with absolutely no amenities, i mean not even a lobby to walk into. The person slid open a window, and we passed in our info. Would not stay again

I was looking for an inexpensive option in the area and this fit the bill. Check in was fast and easy. Mike was very nice. Most of this hotel/motel is very damaged and not functioning but there are a few room to the right of the office that are up and running. My room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but good A/C and a comfortable bed and quiet place to rest. My gps got me there but know that the hotel sign is gone due to the hurricane.

The room was very clean and picked up and beds made daily. The room was also recently renovated and very nice inside compared to other budget hotels I have stayed at. Owners were friendly. No shenanigans like other reviews I have read. Mentally ill people are allowed to stay at motels too and some leave crazy reviews. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Terrible. Room was not clean had cobwebs with bugs in them and sheets had spots on them. Did not stay there because of poor cleanliness. Was hot in the room when we got there too.

The guy who checked my stepdaughter in was very friendly, he did check her and her boyfriends IDs to make sure they were both over 21 (they both are, so wasn't an issue, not sure what the outcome would have been if they weren't) which I thought was very strange and never had this happen at any other hotel. The room was a bit small, but clean and looked remodeled and had everything you'd need. I only needed one night but looked like an extended stay type hotel/motel. No pets and no smoking rooms. I would have family stay here again.

The bed was comfortable and the room was adequate for a quick overnight stay, especially considering the price point. The only real negative is close proximity to US 41. Trucks rumbling by at 5:30 AM woke me up. Fortunately, I needed to be up early anyway and the double-paned windows helped mute the sound a bit.

The room was very basic but was good enough for the one night stay. The only issue we had was that it was 90 degrees outside and when we arrived at the motel at 9pm after a long flight, the AC was not on, very uncomfortable.

Expedia said it was pet friendly. I prepaid for it. It wasn't. Hotel wouldn't refund. Said to contact Expedia. Then the guy came out and wanted us to back a GMC pulling a 24 ft enclosed trailer out on a busy 4 lane road. He had no concern for us or the traffic on the road. Threatened to call the police on us. He didn't want us to safely turn around which meant use a very small section of the grass. So I did call the police then the guy decided to let us. 911 said if we needed anything to call them back. Funny I aksed the guy if he has ever back something like that up he said no. Told he acted like he knew exactly how to do it so I said get in and you do it.

We checked in the staff was super helpful and responsive one of the best little places we stayed in a long time went above and beyond, we actually rode a motorcycle’s there. He pulled out his van. I’m gonna park our bikes under the overhang to keep them protected from all the weather.

The stay was what we needed. We were not familiar with the area and it was close enough to the airport for an early flight. After 8am it was loud but that was because of the highway being close. We would stay again.

Very clean room, great a/c, hot shower with good pressure, microwave, fridge, and hair dryer in room, soap and shampoo dispensers were full, didn’t see a single bug which is rare in any FL hotel. Staff is very friendly and nice. Bed was comfortable. Close to PGD but schedule your Uber/Lyft ahead of time because I found them to be very scarce in the area. I would definitely stay again if I’m in the area. A great room if you don’t need anything fancy.
