Comfort Suites Vicksburg

The property is clean and quiet. The indoor pool needs serious attention. The pool appears to have been painted recently, however the paint is peeling. The in door pool area needs a remodel.

The pool was cool and took a lot of getting used to. The breakfast was decent and everyone was very friendly.

Pros: breakfast, there was an indoor pool (though very dark) and small fitness room Cons: we were on the 4th floor and it smelled like an attic, bugs on windows and in lights, lots of issues with key card (old school insert system), and the air was an older unit that blowed so hard that it was freezing when it was on but so hot when it was off. We were traveling with our 2 kids and visiting family in the area, next time we'll try tru across the street. The cleanliness in the room was really bad at this hotel.

It was a near perfect stay for the occasion for us. We stayed in Vicksburg to rest for the night before driving the rest of the way home on a road trip, and if you’re looking for a nice, safe, quiet and comfortable place to do that, this is your place. Rooms were spacious. Beds were comfortable and Direct TV in the rooms was a plus. I’m not sure how recent renovations were, but you can tell they put a lot of effort into making this a pleasant stay. Only thing keeping me from giving this a better ranking is we traveled with a kid and we hyped up the swimming pool. It was open, but it was WAY too cold. We tried it out but just could not stay in it longer than 10 minutes. Also the elevator seems to be the one thing that didn’t get remodeled and it had a hint of cigarette smoke, but that’s nowhere near a dealbreaker. Overall, we would stay here again if in Vicksburg and recommend others to stay as well, even if it’s an extended stay!

The only reason we booked this location was so we could swim in the pool and it was like ice. The mirror in the bathroom had not been cleaned properly so the steam from the shower showed a face on the mirror. It scared my granddaughter because they stayed at the haunted Myrtle's the night before. She thought the ghosts followed them.

Clean, great breakfast, great customer service. Gym and pool left something to be desired, no hot tub. For a one nighter it was great, just personal preferences, absolutely great except gym and pool size.

Hotel was very nice and clean. Only issue was with the room keys. We did have to wait at the front desk for a while to have it replaced once but the lady who was working was extremely busy so it was not her fault. Husband who doesn’t like hotels said the beds were great and it was the best sleep he’s had in a while. Kids loved breakfast and the pool. The pool was empty every time we went so we didn’t have to worry about the kids bothering other people. We definitely enjoyed our weekend there!

Convenient location, good parking, neighborhood appeared safe, updated room, good amenities, comfy bed and good breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff was very kind. The family had fun in the indoor pool.

BedBugs! 2 rooms booked for work trip resulted in 2 employees with extensive bites from bedbugs… hotel denied claim and refused to honor early checkout. GM was insensitive and Rude, this is apparently the 2nd outbreak in the recent past and it is clearly a situation out of control

Dirty diaper in the room trash can. Hair in tub.

Bathroom was dirty, tub had dirt in it and was broken. Toilet had poop in it. Second room was not good enough to stay. We went elsewhere

Not very impressed. We did a quick stay on the way to Dallas. Our room was filthy. It was late so we didn't ask to switch. Even if we wanted, we couldn't find anyone at the front desk. We went down to get an extra blanket 3 times and no one was there. Bathrooms were gross. The breakfast was cold and tasted off. There wasn't anyone attending it at the time so several things were out and weren't being replenished. For the price paid, I wouldn't stay here again.

We arrived a little after 1100. The front desk shift was just changing, the women were talking so it took several minutes to get service. When we got to our room it smelled very musty, like moldy. When checking the AC unit the carpet was wet, we turned the AC off and then the room smelled like dead fish. We turned the AC back on and just went to bed. We had driven from Oklahoma and we were exhausted. If we hadn’t been driving for so long or if I thought there might have been another room I would’ve complained right them. As it was, we told the cleaning crew about the AC on the way out the next morning. It was a really terrible stay.

We stayed at Comfort Suites Vicksburg on July 23, 2025. While we arrived late and had children with us, the conditions were so poor we would have left immediately if we’d had another option. The room floor was dangerously greasy and slippery—a serious safety hazard. The AC in the elevator was broken, making it extremely hot and unsafe. Our bathtub was stained and visibly dirty, and the second floor and our room both had a strong, unpleasant odor that made it hard to breathe and sleep. This stay was unacceptable. We made the best of it for the sake of our kids, but this property fell far below basic health and safety standards. We reported conditions to the front desk and were told the general manager was unavailable. We were not offered a resolution at the time. I’m requesting a full refund due to the unsafe and unsanitary conditions, which clearly violate the expectations of a Comfort Suites property. The bathroom was filthy. You can clearly see dirt and grime accumulated on the baseboards and in corners, which made me question the cleanliness of everything, I didn’t even eat breakfast because if the staff don’t properly clean the rooms people sleep, they likely don’t properly clean the kitchen. We have to park across the street at another hotel and walk because 18 wheelers were allowed to park across 8-9 parking spaces that should be for the paying guest. I took pictures of the filth in the bathroom so if you want them I’ll happily email them to you

This hotel has a very bad infestation of red ants. The ants were present in my room, and I'm not talking like 2 or 3. I mean like 20 to 30 these little critters. Staff sprayed the room, but the very next day, they were on the counter top by the microwave, on the night stand next to the double queen beds. I understand this hotel is in the South but there should.be no reason why ants are present in a holet that I'm paying money for. If I knew of this before I booked , I would.have never stayed here. present in any hotel. After mentioned it to antsants.are.

Would have cancelled reservation due to the condition of the first room we were given but we were simply too exhausted. Card key would not work. Has to go back down to the desk to request another key. Finally got into the room but the bathroom floor and furniture had hair on them! Was given another room that was okay but I did do some cleaning of my own. Entire facility smellled musty and moldy. Cleaning staff was generously sprinkling scented powder onto the carpet in the hallways first thing the next morning. Overall, very disappointed and next time will book at a newer nicer hotel.

Noisy thin walls. Dated dirty furniture.

The room needs to be technologically updated. No USB plugs, loose TV connection, loose electrical sockets, and malfunctioning door lock keycard reader. Had to go to the front desk three times to have our keycards recoded.

We waited over 40 min for the attendant to show up and check us in. Other people came and left. She looked disheveled and wasn’t pleasant and didn’t apologize until later on when we were bringing luggage in. She said she was in the bathroom. I called the number and called the corporate number to try and find someone to help Otherwise, the stay was good

Check in was very easy, the room was very clean, staff was friendly and breakfast was very good and fresh each morning.

My toilet clogged at 3am and I was courteous enough to wait until morning to report the issues because it drained slowly. When I reported it to the front desk, the night shift receptionist responded that there was nothing she could do because there were no plungers available and the morning person wouldn't arrive until 0700. She stated that all the plungers were locked in the maintenance closet and there was no one on call who could assist. It was 0715 at the time of my initial report of the issue... When the day shift receptionist arrived at 0745, I received the same response that no one could help unstop the toilet and that I could come from the 3rd floor to the 1st floor to use the restroom until someone could be contacted. (That was obviously unacceptable) Long story short, after about 30 mins of excuses, she finally called the maintenance person who came 20 mins later and unstopped the toilet and reported that there are plungers on every floor located in the unlocked laundry rooms... Had the receptionist on each shift been educated of this fact, this whole inconvenience could have been avoided. The morning shift receptionist was not only unknowledgeable, but she was rude and told me that it was too early to have an attitude... I am absolutely offended, and I don't think it is unreasonable to expect to have the use of a commode. I feel she should have been aware of the access to simple, but vital items that could have avoided this whole inconvenience, but who am I...

We had been on the road for 11 hours and planned to stay in this hotel on our journey, stopping near midnight. We booked the hotel 2 days prior for our schedule. I felt compelled to call aboit an hour before arriving just to confirm. The service person who answered the phone informed us our room was no longer available. The management canceled our reservation which we had prepaid for without contacting us and gave our room to someone else. They informed us they tried to call us and ask if we were still coming. We had recieved no call and this was a shady mive to double sell a room. The deak clerk informed us this had been done to 6 other travelers that evening alone. They then tried to say we could not get a refund. There is some kind of inappropriate buisness practice raking place at this particular establishment. If you are dead set on staying here, call the morning of your stay and confirm your booking or you too might be left to drive theough the night as we did. Blessings

Room was large and comfortable. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for someone to even show up at the reception desk to check us in. By the time the person arrived there were at least 4 other families trying to check in as well.

Helpful check-in staff, clean and attentive breakfast staff comfortable rooms

We reserved a room but when we got there our room wasn’t available. They had to give us a suite. It took 25 mins to check in. When we finally got in we couldn’t open the door with the key card. We went back to the desk and the lady told us to keep trying with a different card.

The deal clerk(I think her name was Sunny). Was very helpful and friendly. Went out her way to be helpful.

Chose this hotel because it was inexpensive and close to the Vicksburg battlefield. Turned out to be very pleasant. Spacious room and a pretty nice breakfast.

Excellent choice of hotels in this immediate area. Great value but still a modern, comfortable hotel in a great elevated location. The staff was friendly and professional. I would stay here again and select an upper floor.

The reception was good and the room was clean and ready. The problem was the next day for breakfast. It was not ready or not available, 8 am! No waffles, or sausage as mentioned on the menu. The eggs came out later. They may have run out of inventory, really?

We really liked having an extra separate sink area outside the bathroom. We enjoyed using the two spacious flat surfaces to place suitcases. The water was nice and hot. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great and the staff very friendly. Thank you!

Everything was great. The breakfast is delicious, the rooms are very nice. The only reason i didnt give it 5 stars was because i had to make about 7 trips back to the front desk to rekey my card. The room door locks could use an upgrade

The beds and the sheets were incredibly comfortable and the breakfast very good ! We were so happy with our stay it’s on our return list when in the area!
