Long narrow stairs are ridiculous! We know it’s old Amsterdam, but this is a HOTEL! Surely they can be modified, this is 2024. Surprising they get a permit to operate as a hotel.

The property itself was located pretty well in terms of travel to city centre, however the property itself is in desperate need of renovation, this is definitely not an accessible hotel with the tight, steep staircases. From the beginning of the trip, we were met with a nice staff member that gave us the rundown, house rules etc, which were reasonable, however there was no area for lounging and the back garden was closed off to customers, which I think is a massive negative. We were told our room was being cleaned, which was understandable, however when we got up to the room, we were met with a not clean room, the window sills still had a residue of what I can only assume is old beer, further confirmed with the bottle cap we found on the balcony. Moving from that, the mattresses had what appeared to be a number of stains, which I will assume is urine, but hope it was not. The bathroom is tiny, with the door cut in half so it can fold to close, I could use the toilet and wash my hands at the same time it was that small. The shower head holder was broken and the shower head wouldn’t sit in place, meaning we had to fight with it constantly to be able to have a shower. The old door on the shower made it a nightmare to open and close. Following that, there was no drain cover on the shower drain, so we were met with an open hole in the shower, which was dirty. The toilet brush was also dirty. I would recommend the area for people, however not this hotel

Pleasent room in the city centre. Affordable and friendly staff. Unfortunately 2 hours before checking out while I was having a shower the power of the hotel stopped working. When I asked the staff what happened, they said it was planned maintanance. Would've been nice to know about this in advance.

It’s a good hotel, not exactly in the downtown but very close to tramway and still walkable distance from downtown (30 min), the rooms are upstairs on a very steep stair, they are very clean. The shower it’s not nice, but it’s clean. I do recommend because of location and price.

In a very good location, very easy to get to Central Station on the Tram. The staff were very friendly. However, the hotel itself is very dilapidated, also not very clean at all, I got covered in bites all over my arms and legs from bed bugs / fleas in the room, the whole hotel needs a DEEP clean and refresh.

Zuerst etwas Positives: die Lage nahe Straßenbahn und Museumsquartier war sehr gut. Man konnte alles fußläufig gut erreichen. Negativ war die mangelnde Sauberkeit (Toilette nicht ausreichend geputzt, Zimmer 3 Tage nicht gestaubsaugt) sowie die gänzlich fehlende Heizung im Bad!!!! Das Zimmer in der 2. Etage war nur über 2 sehr enge, schmale Treppen erreichbar. Für ein Holländerhaus wohl üblich, aber das hätte man vorher ankündigen sollen. Für ältere Menschen sehr schwierig, für behinderte überhaupt nicht möglich. Für den Preis kann man wohl nichts anderes erwarten, aber: nie wieder!

I liked the location and the cleanliness of the place. There was a sitting area on the main floor which would have been great for games or eating our breakfast but it was closed for staff only the whole time. That was the only negative thing.

very friendly staff, clean rooms, the place is very accessible. it is an old building so it‘s normal to hear loud footsteps of neighbors but it‘s not bad if you‘re just going to sleep at the hotel. it was a nice stay!

Hôtel dans un quartier résidentielle calme, la réceptionniste est sympathique. L'hôtel et la chambre sont vieillissantes, aucune insonorisation, bruit du tram, des voitures dans la rue, de la télévision des voisins,... à chaque fois qu'une porte claqué celle de la chambre vibré, obliger de la bloquer avec une chaise pour éviter ce claquement. pas de volet, juste un rideau aux fenêtres qui laisse passer la lumière, très compliqué quand on a la fenêtre avec l'enseigne lumineuse qui éclaire la chambre. la douche inonde toute la salle de bain, les serviettes étaient vieilles usées et troués. la femme de ménage est passé tous les jours, pour refaire le lit, que je fessait moi même tous les matins, mais n'a jamais change les serviettes, passé l'aspirateur ou nettoyer la salle de bain. l'accès au coffre de la chambre ou à la bagagerie sont payantes.

Lage des Hotels ist fabelhaft, leider schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber um das Geld war es ok! Einzig Dusche/Waschbecken/WC ist sehr eng. Wer wert auf große Sauberkeit legt ist hier falsch, den die weiße Bettwäsche war voll mit braunen Spritzer dachte das diese vielleicht ausgetauscht wird doch bis zum 5ten Tag haben wir in dieser Bettwäsche geschlafen.
Lage des Hotels ist fabelhaft, leider schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber um das Geld war es ok! Einzig Dusche/Waschbecken/WC ist sehr eng. I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and, unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations. The problems began at check-in. Despite having contacted the hotel twice in advance and attempting to call immediately upon landing (with no response), the receptionist was rude and confrontational, placing the blame on us instead of offering assistance. This set an unwelcoming tone from the very beginning. The room itself was not maintained to a satisfactory standard. Bed sheets were not properly clean on arrival and were rarely replaced during the stay. Towels were changed infrequently. The plumbing was problematic, with unpleasant odours and poor drainage. The room was also uncomfortably hot; the fan provided was ineffective, and combined with very thin walls and constant street noise at night, restful sleep was almost impossible. Most concerning was a security incident one evening around 10pm, when someone was testing the locks on multiple doors in the hallway, including ours. It was very unsettling. When we called reception to report this, staff dismissed the matter as a “mistake” and offered no reassurance or follow-up, which left us feeling unsafe. Overall, this property failed on both comfort and service. Between the unprofessional reception, poor room standards, lack of safety response, and excessive noise, I could not recommend this hotel and would not choose to stay again.

L'hôtel et la chambre sont vieillissantes, aucune insonorisation, bruit du tram, des voitures dans la rue, de la télévision des voisins,... à chaque fois qu'une porte claqué celle de la chambre vibré, obliger de la bloquer avec une chaise pour éviter ce claquement. pas de volet, juste un rideau aux fenêtres qui laisse passer la lumière, très compliqué quand on a la fenêtre avec l'enseigne lumineuse qui éclaire la chambre. la douche inonde toute la salle de bain, les serviettes étaient vieilles usées et troués. la femme de ménage est passé tous les jours, pour refaire le lit, que je fessait moi même tous les matins, mais n'a jamais change les serviettes, passé l'aspirateur ou nettoyer la salle de bain. l'accès au coffre de la chambre ou à la bagagerie sont payantes.

The property itself was located pretty well in terms of travel to city centre, however the property itself is in desperate need of renovation, this is definitely not an accessible hotel with the tight, steep staircases. From the beginning of the trip, we were met with a nice staff member that gave us the rundown, house rules etc, which were reasonable, however there was no area for lounging and the back garden was closed off to customers, which I think is a massive negative. We were told our room was being cleaned, which was understandable, however when we got up to the room, we were met with a not clean room, the window sills still had a residue of what I can only assume is old beer, further confirmed with the bottle cap we found on the balcony. Moving from that, the mattresses had what appeared to be a number of stains, which I will assume is urine, but hope it was not. The bathroom is tiny, with the door cut in half so it can fold to close, I could use the toilet and wash my hands at the same time it was that small. The shower head holder was broken and the shower head wouldn’t sit in place, meaning we had to fight with it constantly to be able to have a shower. The old door on the shower made it a nightmare to open and close. Following that, there was no drain cover on the shower drain, so we were met with an open hole in the shower, which was dirty. The toilet brush was also dirty. I would recommend the area for people, however not this hotel

It’s a good hotel, not exactly in the downtown but very close to tramway and still walkable distance from downtown (30 min), the rooms are upstairs on a very steep stair, they are very clean. The shower it’s not nice, but it’s clean. I do recommend because of location and price.

Very nice area with direct tramway to the center. Very friendly stuff but very strange to have to pay the city yax in cash while accepting card for the rest. The room was ok but hard to access as there are very narrow staircases Thin walls

Nous avons payé cet hotel 150 euros la nuit pour un week end prolongé. Il n’en vaut pas plus de 50 euros… L’emplacement est très bien situé et le personnel est très agréable. La douche est d’un autre temps. Il n’y a aucune pression, impossible pour ma copine de se laver les cheveux. De plus la température est très compliquée à régler. L’isolation est inexistante, vous entendez tout de la chambre voisine. Bref pour une ou deux nuits ca fait la faire mais au bout de 3 nuits on est bien heureux de partir.

Pleasent room in the city centre. Affordable and friendly staff. Unfortunately 2 hours before checking out while I was having a shower the power of the hotel stopped working. When I asked the staff what happened, they said it was planned maintanance. Would've been nice to know about this in advance.

In a very good location, very easy to get to Central Station on the Tram. The staff were very friendly. However, the hotel itself is very dilapidated, also not very clean at all, I got covered in bites all over my arms and legs from bed bugs / fleas in the room, the whole hotel needs a DEEP clean and refresh.

I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and, unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations. The problems began at check-in. Despite having contacted the hotel twice in advance and attempting to call immediately upon landing (with no response), the receptionist was rude and confrontational, placing the blame on us instead of offering assistance. This set an unwelcoming tone from the very beginning. The room itself was not maintained to a satisfactory standard. Bed sheets were not properly clean on arrival and were rarely replaced during the stay. Towels were changed infrequently. The plumbing was problematic, with unpleasant odours and poor drainage. The room was also uncomfortably hot; the fan provided was ineffective, and combined with very thin walls and constant street noise at night, restful sleep was almost impossible. Most concerning was a security incident one evening around 10pm, when someone was testing the locks on multiple doors in the hallway, including ours. It was very unsettling. When we called reception to report this, staff dismissed the matter as a “mistake” and offered no reassurance or follow-up, which left us feeling unsafe. Overall, this property failed on both comfort and service. Between the unprofessional reception, poor room standards, lack of safety response, and excessive noise, I could not recommend this hotel and would not choose to stay again.

Hôtel correct et propre, attention aux montées dans les étages il n'y a pas d'ascenseur et les escaliers sont très étroits. Le petit déjeuné est à 10 euros et reste assez sommaire. L'acceuil est très sympathique en revanche ils ne prennent pas la CB... pensez à prendre du liquide pour payer la taxe de séjour ou le petit déjeuner. Nous avons moyennement apprécié cet aspect d'autant plus que tous les distributeurs de billet ne fonctionne pas la nuit.

I liked the location and the cleanliness of the place. There was a sitting area on the main floor which would have been great for games or eating our breakfast but it was closed for staff only the whole time. That was the only negative thing.

On the positive side the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We booked a classic double room, however, when we got to the room it appeared to be small room with two single beds pushed together, which was obviously disappointing. The location of the hotel was convenient to the centre and only 1 tram journey away or around a 40-45 minute walk.

Um pouco distante, e extremamente pequeno, para no máximo um casal! O banheiro é bem ruim, o chuveiro fica entra a pia e o vaso, tem que passar pela área molhada do chuveiro para usar o vaso essa é a pior parte, o restante era razoável!

The lobby area for eating and outside sitting was opened too late in the day (9:00) for a place to have your morning coffee. The rooms were not all the same, some were more updated for the same money, as well as some had a coffee maker and others rooms didn't. Keep in mind there is no AC and elevator, if that maters to you. The beds were comfortable and the room size was good. Don't expect a lot, but overall it was fine.

I found the price of almost €300/night way to high for what the hotel offers, but maybe it was an extra busy weekend, so they can afford to ask that price.
