Holiday Inn Purdue - Fort Wayne by IHG

Went to Fort Wayne for daughters graduation. Hotel was clean, however the carpet in the hallways stained and old.Bed was comfortable, did not like the pillows. Coffee in the lobby was like colored water, only had decaf k cups for the rooms. The treadmill did not work, hot tub did not work, indoor pool was freezing cold and only had heavy size hand weights. There was nothing to clean the work out equipment when you were done, thank goodness i brought purell.all in all it was ok, not what i expected from an holiday inn, will try somewhere else the next time we go to Fort Wayne.

I was charged an additional $75 that was not mentioned on the website, pool was closed due to renovation (until mid-August), as soon as we walked into our room you can feel how muggy it was, even with the AC on.

Disappointed that pool was not open and we were not notified.

Hotel and staff were nice, but the pool was basically unusable. There is something wrong with the pool room. Everything was wet, tables, chairs the floor and the ceiling. Not to mention that there was so much chlorine in the pool the air in the room burned everyones eyes. The kids didn't even want to try to swim again the second day, which says a lot.

gym needs help. Coffee terrible. People and service very good, dated and needs upgrade

I picked this hotel because it stated there was an inside pool, hot tub and inside restaurant. The hot tub was broke, the pool water was freezing and the inside restaurant was closed down. Staff was friendly.

First I would like to say the staff was super nice and the room was clean and nice. We were very surprised at the amount of mold that is in the pool room. Its not a little. Its huge amounts covering the ceiling and walls. It was hard to feel comfortable and enjoy the pool.

We stayed here because we needed the convenience of grabbing breakfast on our way out to early tournaments. It’s Mother’s Day and they aren’t having an early breakfast. We were offered $25 Mother’s Day brunch that starts at 10. We need to leave by 7. And the pool was closed for maintenance

Restaurant and Bar were closed due to illnesses. Hot tub is empty. Seems a little run down.

Nice hotel just needs to update carpet in the hallways it could trip someone especially with a walker. Pool also had too much chlorine, just standing next to the pool it was burning my eyes. Also we were awaken by the fire alarm that was not actually a fire.

The staff was great. Very clean hotel. Inside and Outside was very well kept.

Room was not very clean, water left in the ice bucket from previous occupants. Stains on chairs. Dirty carpet. Toiletries not replenished upon arrival. Room phone did not work.

Halls and rooms are Old and worn out. Carpet in halls need replaced badly. My rooms exterior wall was damaged from water and the room smelled like smelly feet. Most likely from water damage. The bed was comfortable and the room was as clean as it could be. The place needs renovated in the rooms. No bedbugs so that’s a plus. All Staff was very friendly and bar staff was very accommodating and on top of serving. No continental breakfast.

There was trash in my room from the previous guest. The toilet in the reception area was covered with dried urine and feces. The buffet was out of food for the most part. There were no utensils or cups to drink from. While the host was kind, they did not direct us to the buffet or tell us where we needed to go. We wandered until we managed to find it.

Bathroom area needed some tweeking as far as cleanliness, some mildew (pink areas) around outside floor area around tub. Spots on carpet from probable food spills. Spot shampooing & a little bleach would take care of both...

The staff at the front desk and in the bar were extremely helpful. The walls are thin and noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms was loud.

Great staff. Went for the night for the pool and hot tub. Hot tub was closed for renovations. Room was nice but the neighbors were loud. You could hear full conversations. Checked out immediately but the staff were awesome. Very clean

The lady that checked us in wasn’t very friendly or courteous. The WIFI wasn’t very good, couldn’t use our laptop at all. Charging twelve dollars for a breakfast buffet is ridiculous.

There were no documents in the room to inform us of the hotel restaurant hours or menu. We were not given much info when we checked in on Thursday afternoon. We wanted some water and were told we would be given 2 free bottles but after that, we would be charged. We went and bought a gallon of water at the store so we at least had something to drink. On our last day, we noticed there was a large water dispenser around the corner from the checkout. NO ONE AT THE FRONT DESK MADE ANY MENTION OF THIS! The one lady who was running the desk on Thursday was just disappointing. She ended up being off and was to come back on Sunday which was when we checked out. You may want to work with her on customer assistance. The breakfast was supposed to be until 10 on Friday but when we got down there at 9:30 it was already closed. My husband is disabled so having a restaurant right in the hotel was a big factor in our choice of hotel. On Saturday we went down and told it was a buffet. There were no eggs at the time we went, very little bacon and no orange juice. We ended up paying $25 for two buffets with very little food available. We finally got some eggs, but the choice of food was very limited. We ended up having to leave and get food to get us through as we were attending a concert that evening at the Coliseum. The hotel room lamp had a torn shade, there was an area on the wall that was torn and hanging. The location was perfect but the customer service was poor.

Your housekeeping was great! Your customer service at front desk was the worst ever. Room was overpriced! Your suite should have double bunks and it would have been perfect. I got the short straw and had to sleep on the couch. Your mattress is nothing but springs that was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever encountered. I closed it up and slept on a couch that was too short but much more accommodating. I made the reservation for 5 and got 4 bath towels and 3 wash cloths. I paid close to 600.00 dollars for the room. Three of the 5 have long hair and use 2 towels each when they wash their hair. When we asked for more towels and wash clothes they ( the front desk) stated we could only have one set. None of us want to wash our face with a wash clothe someone else has used to clean their private parts! SAD :( Also the blankets on the bunks were the size for children and again we asked for 2 comforters to fit adults again 1 comforter was stated we could have. Finally after telling your evening worker that we were in the suite she did give us another comforter. All of this bad customer upset my 86 yrs od mother soooo bad and it stressed her out we had to take to the emergency room at Luthern Hospital to get her blood pressure back down. When we arrived at the hotel we had to wait for quite a while before anyone came to the counter. Also when checking out this happened again. Your customer service was terrible and we all agreed we would be looking for other accomodations next yr

First toom assigned the beds were not made. Could not get into the second room. Third toom was made, but had cleanex and dirt on one of the beds. When i mentioned the issues to the lady at the desk, she flatly replied "well, that is not my fault".

We arrived at the property and the gentleman at check in was good. Got up to the room and it smelled like raw sewage. We were leaving for a bit so we figured when we arrived back it would be gone. Got back to the room and it still smelled, tried to call the front desk and kept getting a busy signal so we went to bed. woke up this morning and tried to connect to WiFi and wouldn’t work kept saying invalid room number, we then we tried to make coffee and there were no cups or reg coffee pods, so we decided to just go out and get coffee. Tried to take a shower and there was no hot water. As we were leaving we stopped at the front desk and explained the issues and lady simply stated “sorry about that” I will not be returning to this property.

They gave me the wrong information about making my payment in cash vs card. Upon checkout they kept trying to charge my card these weird additional fees. When I called to se why they said some weird excuse that didn’t make sense considering the fact that they already charged my card the full amount for the stay and the deposit. They couldn’t really make sense of why it kept creating to charge my card off amounts. Fast forward to 5 6 days later and they still haven’t issued me back my incidental deposit for my stay which they said I should have received by now.

We paid $445.85 for one night. Out the gate the staff was arrogant at check in. We were attending the Hot Rod Power Tour Event that was across the street. After check in we had pulled our classic car over to the side of the parking lot to make a repair. The receptionist came out and said right out the gate that if we didn't pay for a room that we had to go. She didn't ask if we were ok, or if we needed help. Just straight out the gate, if you haven't paid you got to leave. I own several businesses, and we would never treat someone like that. Luky for us we had a room and made our repair so we could continue to the next venue. That evening everyone was sitting around talking and hanging out. The staff came around and made it very clear that they would call the police if anyone revved their engine. They stood outside as if they wanted to have confrontation. The next morning there was no breakfast at all. They said the cook had called in sick AGAIN. When we asked if they were offering anything they were very rude about the NO! Staff is very arrogant, rude and disrespectful. completely overpriced. I would not stay at this hotel ever again. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I hardly ever give bad reviews, but this one deserves one. The building itself is a good average hotel, but I can't stress enough its way overpriced, and the staff is looking to cause you trouble or even jail. Consider you warned and stay away.

We were there for Graduation ceremonies at the University. The hotel was close and convenient. The area had many dining options just a short drive away. We did not eat at the hotel but it looked inviting.

Convenience to Allen County War Memorial Coliseum

Worn and loose carpeting. Concern about elderly people potentially falling in hotel. Very old and dated . Just a place to sleep and not much else. Close proximity to Coliseum for events.

My mom and I came for the Elevation Worship Concert and we were able to walk right across the street to Allen War Coliseum! The Hotel was very clean, friendly staff and perfect for a one night stay.

The room was clean and perfect temperature. This this our third year in a row attending the Vera Bradley sale and it convinced to stay across the road from the event.

We chose this property because of its proximity to the Coliseum for an event we were attending. Beware, it is not walkable, despite how close it is. No sidewalks and heavy traffic on a major thoroughfare. The shower is super narrow for anyone who might be claustrophobic or a little on the heavy side. But otherwise nice property.

Cross from the event center , restaurants and shopping. Nice weather and enjoy the weather.

Property was great! Rooms were very clean and staff was friendly. The breakfast was $12 for what is normally a free continental breakfast and they ran out of several items early. There were only 2 bath towels in the room and when I asked for more I was told they were out. Ice machine was only on the 4th and 6th floor.

We paid $10 for breakfast and it was the same quality that you get at other hotel chains for free.

A free continental breakfast should be included with your room. Every Holiday Inn that I have ever stayed at did until this one.

I stayed at the same hotel in September this year, breakfast was not great. I was impressed by breakfast quality this time, much better than last time. I heard they changed chef, good work!

It was a really great stay starting from check in. We went down to the bar to have a few drinks before our event and the host was awesome and very social with us. The food was great also even the breakfast and that’s rare at hotels.

No microwave. Advertised as having premium tv but didn’t. The restaurant ran out of almost all their food. Only had one entree. Would not come back
