Hotel is clean and very nice. Parking is off site but about a 45 second walk so not an inconvenience at all. We had a suite with 2 queen beds and it was enough room for our family of 4, but the balconies are very small, and our outdoor furniture was old and damaged. Pull out sofa wasn’t very comfortable but my son found the actual sofa to be very comfortable so we just put the sheets on top of the cushions and that’s where he slept! Breakfast is included and very tasty. We didn’t eat any other food at the restaurant, but the drinks were delicious, and they have a convenient water fill station. They do have sand toys and towels for you to use, and you get a $5 credit per day/ per room to use in their “market” which has water, sodas, chips, etc. We did a Walmart delivery for drinks and snacks. There is also a Walgreens, CVS, Subway, 7-11 and plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The majority of the staff is very helpful, with just a couple people who look like they hate their jobs. Enrique is amazing and helped us switch rooms after our first night when we wanted a higher level (2nd floor only has a view of the roof below and no balcony privacy) and the bellhops are the friendliest people ever and probably deserve raises! It is right across an entrance to the beach but beware if you walk across the grass as it is a dog friendly hotel and there was SO MUCH POOP not picked up. We would come back!

We came and brought our dogs. Yes it is a pet friendly hotel. One should know that they charge $100 for your pets stay, non refundable. The breakfast.was very good with friendly helpful staff. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. We had a beautiful beach view. Loved it!

The hotel was fine. We did not like the parking or the pool, though. The parking is a little bit up the street and the pool is small. The front desk offered extra bedding but it was never delivered. We managed with what we had. We went in the winter for a pool getaway. We prefer a bigger and more heated pool area.

The only issue I had was my family and I stayed for 5 days and we were told maid service only comes af checkout. .we constantly had to keep calling the front desk for cleaning supplies and trash pickup. We also had to request vacuum cleaning services.

I enjoyed the restaurant and bar at this location. Great servers/bartenders. However, the premises were not very clean around the windows causing sand flies and bugs. It was hard to enjoy our meal looking at dead bugs all over the windows. We spent one week there, and they never vacuumed our room. Our room keys did not work causing us to be stranded on the elevator. One front desk clerk was rude

The breakfast reminded me of bad hospital food. Its hard to mess up breakfast, but they did. Was not clean. One of the dining table chairs had a dirt spot, when I cleaned it with a wet wipe, I realized how filthy the chair was. The white wet wipe was brown, the same for yhe other dining chair, and the the lamp by the bedside. I just ended up wiping down every surface in the room. Just to feel comfortable. I was told over the phone, the room had a stove with an oven. I had brought a homemade and frozen lasagna and garlic bread from home to bake for a special dinner. Nope it only had a stove top, no oven. Could not refreeze it as hard as my freezer at home had it, so it had thawed and was ruined on our hours long drive home afterward. I am normally a Marriott or Hilton girl, but the description of the suite sounded perfect, and there were very few rooms yo so I de

Our 2nd time here. First time during covid so no housekeeping services. 4 years later and still had to call front desk begging for clean towels and garbage taken. Get back to the old ways of customer service.

I stayed at Hyatt House from Nov 15-17. Arrival and check-in were efficient and the staff provided helpful local tips. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything l needed for a short stay; housekeeping was attentive and Wi-Fi was reliable. Location was great! There is a new-ish highrise on the southside of the building so you can't see down the beach. I say new-ish because it isn't shown in the picture on the hotel.com website. Complimentary breakfast was ok but the same each day. Tub was very slippery and the fixtures such as the curtain rod were showing age. Bathroom was huge, could have used some extra towel hooks on the blank wall. Room was described as 2 queen beds with den....the "den" was a loveseat squished into the corner. All staff were extremely pleasant and helpful!

The view from the room to the ocean was fabulous!! Right on the boardwalk - watching the dolphins and ships coming in was great!! There was not great water pressure in the hotel and our shower control was broken in the wall...other than that, it was decent.

Pros: It is on the beach boardwalk. 1/2 of a wall devoted to sliding glass door for the view. Room was nice and bed comfy. Small balcony to sit and watch ocean. Breakfast was quite good. Staff very attentive. Easily walk to restaurants too. Staff was super, super nice! Ever single person we interacted with was nice. They have a hard-working driveway attendant who is needed to organize the drive because you can’t park at this hotel. He even stops traffic so you can merge on the street. Nice guy, but no pushover. Loved him most. Cons: main one is you have to drop off bags and park across the street around the corner in a parking garage. This is not the hotel’s fault that the new jets are super loud. The fighter jets’ take-off route is right overhead. Must have had an emergency, as happened at midnight or after. Not bad during the day, but wow at night. Not sure how often night flights are.

Wonderful - I've stayed in many hotels by the ocean and they all have a damp feel and smell. This hotel was awesome, comfortable, and convenient - the only thing that could be improved was the very uncomfortable sofa bed. The 2 queen beds were great.

Room was updated and clean. Nice balcony with a view!! Bathroom was large, could use more counter space in there. My only suggestion, it would be great to mount the tv on the wall instead of having that strange “tv island” in the middle of the room

The staff was SUPER friendly and overall great! The hotel was very clean. The only bad thing is there are definitely NO private balconies as mentioned online. There is a partition on 1 side of the balcony, but on the other side, you can clearly see into other balconies not just directly beside your room, but on the other floors as well, as they can see into yours. Very misleading and definitely would NOT have booked this hotel had that been known. However, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the hotel is very clean

I enjoyed the restaurant and bar at this location. Great servers/bartenders. However, the premises were not very clean around the windows causing sand flies and bugs. It was hard to enjoy our meal looking at dead bugs all over the windows. We spent one week there, and they never vacuumed our room. Our room keys did not work causing us to be stranded on the elevator. One front desk clerk was rude

Location: 5 stars. Room clean and updated: 4 stars. Doormen services 10 stars. Front desk could have been more helpful: 3 stars. Nearby restaurants and beach access: 5 stars. Parking is not included, which is ok, but upon checking in they advertise a "destination package" that includes parking at $30 a day but when totaled they charged me $219 and upon check out another $159 which I still don't fully understand what I paid extra for. So, I recommend travelers ask a lot of questions and recommend the hotel send an invoice for additional charges, especially when asked too. Luckily brought my own shampoo for a 3 night family beach vacation because it was empty in our room. Informed the front desk at check out for the next guests and they said I should have just called housekeeping. Which is interesting because I called housekeeping on day 2 for towel service for our bathroom, no answer, went to the front desk for request, they blew me off said they'll text housekeeping. They never did. 4 people, 5 towels for 3 nights, beach everyday, we're showering. So, I just used the beach towel rentals for extra towels since it was included in the "destination package." Also, did not enjoy stinky trash being left in the hallway for hours. Breakfast was good, but the seating area does not accommodate for the amount of guests the hotel houses so get there early to get a seat!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff is always nice. I usually like to switch up the hotels I stay at when I come to VA beach but I was so satisfied here that I think I will only stick with this one. Everyone from the front desk with Kate, Enrique and the rest of the staff to the breakfast staff to even the bell men like Michael and the others were superb and very welcoming and hospitable! I love it here and will be coming back. This is in addition to the hotel being in such a convenient location with a spectacular view! I absolutely love it here!

Overall the stay was good! When we arrived to check in by 4pm, our room.was not ready. It took over an hour of us waiting in the lobby for the manager to finally decide to give us another room. But the manager compensated us for our troubles which I thought was a great jesture and accommodation. The only other thing was there were so many flies in the lobby and restaurant. It became unbearable. Other than that, the continental breakfast was good and the aestetic of the hotel was beautiful. Convienently located to parking, shops, restaurants, and the main social area.

I like the Hyatt House at VA Beach and will probably stay again. Loved the spacious room with the six of us...three adults and three children. What I didn't like is the delayed check in. It would be nice to just come and get the key like right then. Being delayed for anything is not good if you're traveling with a 11,10 & 4 year old. They had fun at the beach as usual.

Our stay at Hyatt House was extremely nice. The beds were very comfortable, it was very secure, the additional $5 a day spending bonus was nice, and the staff was very friendly, especially Michael, the bellhop.

Front desk service was shocking how rude they were. After driving five hours with the kids, went in to ask what the chances of being able to get in to our room a couple hours early to put the baby down for a nap and I was so shocked at the rudeness for a simple request. Not a “oh sorry we can’t accommodate that right now”, but basically laughed in our face and told us we could come back AFTER 4PM and our room MIGHT be ready then. Power went out at the hotel and we were on the 18th floor. Out of their control but a great experience. The garage parking across the street couldn’t read my badge and so had to go back and have them rekey it? Nice. All other staff was very friendly and helpful (bar, bellhop, and breakfast), but the front desk seemed inconvenienced and put out by every interaction. Only caught Kaylan’s name on the last day as one of the culprits, but there were a couple other ladies at the front who were so rude it was actually surprising. For the cost I will definitely be staying anywhere else other than at this hotel again.

Enrique at the front desk was amazing! All of the gentleman who helped us carry our luggage were amazing! Overall great hotel and phenomenal location. One tip would be to include valet parking in the future as the parking is separate from the hotel.

I stayed at Hyatt House from Nov 15-17. Arrival and check-in were efficient and the staff provided helpful local tips. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything l needed for a short stay; housekeeping was attentive and Wi-Fi was reliable. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches and the calm atmosphere that made it easy to relax. It was easy to get around. You could walk or take the trolley which was $2 one way or you could do a daily pass for $4.50. The daily pass lets you ride the trolley all day or the bus anywhere in the area. On the strip doughboys was great. The pizza was really good and you were able to get a to go cup with alcohol as well. The beach was always clean.The staff was super helpful. Rena was great Expedia overbooked the suites and we were not able to get the two suites we booked but Rena was able to resolve that for us. We had a great time at the Hyatt House. Everytime we left and came back you are always greeted by the staff with a welcome back.

a delightful, beachfront hotel with balconies facing the beach/ocean. the first floor bar/grill was nice for a cocktail or meal and convenient for the breakfast buffet. indoor pool was just the right size for kids to have some fun, away from the outdoor heat of the day when beach was too hot. the entry was welcoming with staff available to guide cars and people into foyer and the staff at front desk were all very nice, professional & efficient. I had asked for 3 rooms and that they try to be on same floor or at least close proximity to one another. they told me they would try but unfortunately, our 3 rooms were on floors 14, 18 and 20. The easy walk access to Atlantic Avenue and the shops and restaurants is a big plus. The air conditioning worked well however, the large vent (blower) would blow the cold air right over the second bed. I suggest a buffer be added so the air would blow to the side or up. The bathrooms were spacious however, there were only 2 small hooks on all the walls. It would be nice if there were more hooks or a small table to place your clothes. I requested a baggage rack and I placed a towel over it to use for our things when taking a shower. T.V. & reception was good; wifi was good; charging plugs were nicely available both on the nightstand lamp and on the desk table. Parking is offsite but nearby. However, both family with cars had difficulty with the papers & instructions they got for parking and went through a bit of a hassle to park.

We love that its right by the ocean. The location was convenient. The strip was walkable and lots to see with stores and bars/restaurants. The hotel smells nice rooms are exceptionally clean and well stocked. Decent size room and I also love that it has a decent size kitchenette where I can prepare my meals. My entire family enjoyed our week stay. My only concern was the coffee wasn’t strong enough for me and pancake/waffles were soggy.

The staff were lovely! Parking is 20 per day but its in a safe garage . We were there for a basketball tournament and it was very convenient . It was clean and the breakfast was standard but based on other reveiws from other places breakfast at the virginia beach hotels are not up to the hotel usual standards. The breakfast was just enough but would have loved more options

My family and I were really impressed with this property. The room was spacious and very clean. I loved that our room had views of the front of the building and the ocean. I wish we could've stayed more than one night. The only drawback was the breakfast--the hot food was cool and bland. There was no bacon just sausage. Not everyone wants to eat sausage. Other than that the experience was excellent.

The room and amenities were nice, but housekeeping was very lacking. Since it was a winter stay, the indoor pool could’ve been a warmer. The free breakfast was nice, but the restaurant in the hotel had very limited food options for dinner.

The entrance is very clean and bright and the staff are very friendly and super helpful. The room was very clean with nice upgrades. The view was absolutely amazing. The breakfast was not as expected. I expected there to be a few more options and higher quality food. Lastly, although housekeeping came every other day, they were supposed to replace the towels, take the garbage and make the bed but they did not make the bed. The entrance is very clean and bright and the staff are very friendly and super helpful. The room was very clean with nice upgrades. The view was absolutely amazing. The breakfast was not as expected. I expected there to be a few more options and higher quality food. Lastly, although housekeeping came every other day, they were supposed to replace the towels, take the garbage and make the bed but they did not make the bed. Clean room, great staff, amazing fireworks from the sea, and a very. Comfortable bed. What more could a gal ask for? Clean beach and you can rent chairs and umbrella or claim your space on the sand without restrictions. The beach is public and nobody tells you that you can’t sit here or there. Loved every minute!
