The $250 deposit was a surprise, especially that it is not refunded at the time of check out and can take several business days to see the credit. A shuttle to the airport is advertised but does not exist. The shuttle was a factor in us choosing this hotel. Parking was adequate and the continental breakfast was good.

The room was in the basement, but had a window to the outside that people constantly walked in front of, and no privacy screen. It's close enough to the street that the noise would've kept me up, but thankfully the air conditioner also had a loud grinding noise that countered it. The elevator was out for the entire duration of our stay. The area in which the hotel is located is sketchy enough that the hotel uses a glass divider in front of the front desk. Plus sides: close to subway station and airport.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. - Filthy. Very dirty everywhere, especially the bathroom. - NO WiFi. You pay for it, but you won’t be able to use it. “Too many people using it” was the excuse given by management for why it never worked. - NO water except tap water. You can’t even buy bottled water here, and don’t expect a complimentary bottle or 2 in your room like most decent hotels provide. - LOUD. No soundproofing whatsoever. Every door your neighbors open will automatically slam shut and you won’t sleep all night. The road noise is horrible. You can hear pedestrians walking by having normal volume conversations from a 2nd story room. - Your room key might not work. It took them hours to fix mine and I was basically trapped in my room. If I left, I could not get back in. WORST hotel of all time. The building should be torn down and they should start over. - Staff were polite enough but didn’t have solutions for anything. The problems here are a terrible building and terrible management.

The hotel had bedbugs and roaches

The hotel is very clean, staff very friendly. Close to airport. Free parking. Rooms are big, clean and beds comfortable. Considering that many hotels in nyc have been used as shelters, i was hesitant to stay, but a friend referred me to this hotel and i wasn't disappointed. I will be back.

The place was not very clean. It smells really bad. The staff was not very helpful. The door was not lock properly. I came back one day and the door was still open from the cleaning service. I will not recommend this hotel.

This property at the time of my visit was and probably still is under construction. There is a note in the lobby notifying visitors of noise due to the remodeling. The hallways and rooms are also under construction. My room had falling paint onto my pillow and the ceiling had water damage. The tub had mold and was dirty inside. The floor of the room was rough to walk on. The room was stripped bare, and it did not look like the pictures of a nice comfy hotel room. It looked as if it was abandoned, and someone stumbled upon the room and decided to put a bed and tv inside. The window could not lock and the blinds barely covered the window.

The room was nice and the staff was friendly but the bathroom was not clean (actually had pubic hair on the toilet and in the shower.) the vending machine did not work. The ice machine did not work. Extremely disappointing for a 400$ room.

Below grade room in dingy property. Heavily used. Comfortable bed and pillows. Clean enough - didn't want to look too closely. A cheap-ish place to rest near JFK and LGA.

The hotel is located in walking distance to 2 subway stations, E and F. There is a small parking lot that is free to use. Microwave and fridge in the rooms work good. The room was clean and spacious. Housekeeping came every day. There is complimentary breakfast from 7-10 and a small fitness room. Basic no frills hotel. I visit family and friends in Queens so I have stayed multiple times before. Wouldn't hesitate to book again

Room was very noisy. It was as if I was sleeping on the in the street/road. Wasn't able to have a good night rest.

Room was mostly fine, but the wi-fi was atrocious and there was one other annoying bit of info to note: the toilet seat and lid were higher than the ledge behind itand angled in sucha way that required them being held up rather than staying up on their own.

I like the location and the available parking. I didn't like the traffic noise from the express way, I believe this can be improved with upgraded windows.

Very close to the highway and the windows not seal properly. We were all night listening all types of cars, trucks, police, ambulace, etc.

So much traffic noise that we hardly slept and we were supposedly on the quiet side of the building. The room was so “basic” I would almost call it barren. Bathroom was TINY. Towels thin. Do not. recommend.

Building was dated, rooms have been redone. Ours was next to noisy ice machine and slamming stairwell door. Otherwise clean enough and convenient to airport. High traffic area, felt like we were plopped in the middle of a freeway.

The hotel looks good on the outside but is pretty old and basic inside. Though, all the rooms have been modernized with a comfortable bed, modern furniture and TV. We were in the basement with a ground level window above us and a security grating over it, so if you are fine with feeling like you live underground, it's OK to be down there. That was all that was left. We just wanted a bed for the night not too far from the airport, and it serves that purpose. Desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived during a Saturday night/early hours Sunday and a constant stream of people came in asking for a room, though it was all full - it's popular because it's cheap. But during the night some of those coming in we were unsure of for our safety. We mistakenly thought a hotel near the airport, even though only 2-star, would be in a nice area, bit it feels unsafe at night, with a very rough looking motel just behind. Daytime was fine, we went for food locally. There's a small breakfast room in the basement where you can buy food but being small it was full up and smelt of bacon (if you are OK with that). We thought it was too busy and claustrophobic so went for local fast food. Overall it's fine if you want a cheap and comfy room for a night, but due to the area, I would not want to stay there too long. Again, thanks to the staff who helped us with an earlier check in and who looked after our bags, they were a nice group of people.

Customer service was awful. The first person we met at reception was unprofessional. We were not given any information about available services neither cared about our preferences. Allocated room in the seller was dosed with cigarette smell. Managed to move us but resultantly. Before settling down roaches emerged from under tv console, old towels which we carefully left undisturbed. WC fills up almost to the brim that as a man you can't sìt down on it and I guess the floor has not been mopped for who knows when. My spouse has skin infection just over two nights. NY health and safety inspectors should pay a visit please. Breakfast catering however was however superb.

Front desk staff gave us room closest side from Hiway, very noisy and refused to change room even we requested.

The elevator broke and the staff that worked overnight was atrocious and disrespectful. You’re talking to him and he’s not even acknowledging your existence. The staff that did the morning shift when I checked in was mannerly and helpful but the one that came in after, was the problem child. Customer service should be first and foremost in the hospitality industry and he lack empathy and respect

We wanted a hotel where we could leave our car while exploring the city by subway. This was exactly what we wanted and remarkably similar to staying in a Best Western anywhere. Great value compared to many city hotels! The neighborhood is not upscale but felt safe. We appreciated being able to walk right in to the hotel without having to scan our key cards at exterior doors (as we have experienced in other locations). The only downside was that the room was noisy because of the hard surfaces, large gap under the door, and proximity to expressway. Sound absorbing ceiling and a draft stopper on the door would help.

The location was very convenient close to 2 subway stations and only one stop from the LIRR station. Tons of local food options. The only downside is that it is right next to the expressway so there was road noise and bright streetlights all night. The curtains took care of the worst of it but if you are sensitive to light bring a sleep mask.

The hotel was a bit dated but very clean and accessible to the subway. The area was quiet and felt safe enough.

Okay, I can't give this place a bad review. I stayed there at short notice and found it to be clean and the staff friendly. For what I needed, it was just fine. However, don't use this hotel if you're looking for a peaceful night sleep and quick access to the tourist sights. My room was at the front of the building, only a few meters from the main express way to JFK airport (and yes I knew this before I got there). Just be aware it's VERY noisy all night. But hey, welcome to NYC! Also, the nearest subway is about 400m away through a rather rough area. I was fine as it's not my first time in an rough spot, but if you're not used to it, it could be quite off putting going to and from the station for example. It's also the better part of 45 mins on the tube to get to lower Manhattan just so you're aware. Look, it's a city hotel. It's clean, the staff are fine, and the beds are reasonably comfy. Just don't use it for a quiet romantic get away and you'll be just fine.

There was above average outside noise from traffic. Noisy guests after midnight talking loudly and slamming closed the nearby rooms doors.. The breakfast choices catered to a limited palate and the offerings weren't appealing. The only thing I could find to eat were stale oranges. Perhaps i should have made it known i was vegan, but I assumed a few varieties of fruits and vegetables would ve available. Then again, i wasn't offered the option of a dietary preference. I dont believe it was worth the price, considering not even toothpaste was provided. Good thing my wife brought same.

Not much to complain ! those young Men’s at the front entrance were very nice and pleasant and helpful continental breakfast wasn’t good not enough stuff to eat same thing every morning but wasn’t that bad , elevator service twice in the morning we have to take the stairs with our sore knees not too pleasant after that it is a best hotel for someone to choose very clean ,nice area ,to me it is very good hotel Good service !
