Oceanfront Maine Cottage: Fire Pit & Beach

We stayed at Seashells last year and enjoyed it so much that we decided to book it again this year. The location is great - we love being on the water, plus, it's halfway between both parts of Acadia National Park. It's clean and well-stocked with various things you may need during your trip. We had a situation come up our first morning and the host team quickly responded and helped out. Overall, it was a great experience!

We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage! The views were incredible—some of the most beautiful sunrises we’ve ever seen right from the property. The cottage was exactly as described in the VRBO listing and was exceptionally clean when we arrived.The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, making it easy to prepare meals during our stay. We especially enjoyed relaxing around the fire pit in the evenings, and it was such a fun surprise to find sea glass along the shoreline.The host was wonderful to work with, providing great communication before and during our stay. While the cottage is about a 30–40 minute drive from Bar Harbor, we found it to be an easy and scenic drive each day.If you’re looking for a peaceful waterfront getaway with amazing views, this is the place. We would absolutely stay here again! The sunrise , water views, and cozy evenings by the fire made this a memorable part of our Maine anniversary trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was well equipped, comfortable, and had an excellent view. We appreciated the collection of books and board games, along with the fire pit for relaxing in the evenings.We enjoyed walks on the beach, collecting sea glass at Carter’s Beach, and the easy access to hikes in Acadia National Park. The location was convenient — close to Walmart for provisions and an easy drive to Bar Harbor for the lighthouse and puffin boat tour. Overall, an excellent location and stay.

Setting was perfect with a beautiful view. Kitchen was well stocked. House was cozy & felt like home. Blinds & bathrooms needed updating. Perfect location if you want to be out of the busyness of Bar Harbor. Would stay here again.
