Nice hotel in Mechanicsburg, Pa. Very clean and well kept conditions. Very safe and quiet area. Pool was clean. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was a plus, with hot and cold varieties.

Overall it was not terrible but it needed some updates for sure! The upholstery in the suite we stayed in was worn. The wooden furniture was beat up and some outlets didn’t work. To get ice you had to go all the way down to the lobby from the 5th floor. The staff was nice and welcoming though! The breakfast was the same everyday which got old when staying multiple nights. Changing it up on the food options would have been appreciated. Equipment in the gym was broken so that was a bummer for those of us wanting to work out while on vacation. Considering what I paid I was disappointed for sure!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Haven't met staff this competent and friendly in a long time. The pool was clean and heated to a good temperature. The hotel could use some cosmetic updates, but for the most part was good. Our room was clean and the breakfast was better than most hotels. The beds were comfortable and the soap and shampoo/conditioner we're Dove, which was nice. The only negative thing was the constant weed smell in the hall, it didn't smell in our room but the hallway was bad.

Pool not working & we didn't know/informed ahead of time. Location was great, breakfast was great. Was overpriced for the quality. Upkeep needs to be done better. One of the 2 elevators was broke for most of our stay. We were put on the 5th floor with no ice machine on that floor. Our last day there our room keys did not work & had to get them reprogrammed because the staff did not enter them correctly when we checked in. We feel the cost of the room did not meet expectations. We would have appreciated a warning of the facilities ahead of time or been compensated for the lack of 1 elevator & no pool.

Well…it looked as if someone picked their nose and wiped it on the wall in the bathroom. Dirty, muddy handprints on the wall in the main room. The pool area was gross (pool did not appear clean, poor lighting, etc.). We had switched our stay after a night at the Holiday Inn Express on Carlisle pike, which was even worse. We couldn’t stomach having breakfast there. The experience has turned us off from this chain. Not sure we could do it again.

Online the place is given a 2 star rating, i have no idea why. This place was clean, the staff was nice and helpful, the food was good. I enjoyed the stay more than 95% of the rooms ive booked before.

Housekeeping is really bad. Was there 8 days. Request for sheets to be changed at least once. Didn't do it. Never vacuum the room or clean it because of us stay over. Only did trash and towels Never filled soap. Ran out. Had to buy our own. Very dark in room. Lamp was missing.

Room was super tiny although it said there was room for 5….very crowded and a fire hazard if we had to get out of the room quickly. When putting sheets on the pull out couch, we noticed a big gross stain on the couch mattress. We had to ask for more towels, as they only gave us 3, as well as sheets for the pull out couch. There were large scratches all over the bottom of the bed, as if an animal had done it. The white sheets were very wrinkled and had various black marks/stains here and there. There was a dead fly on the window sill. The pool was closed for some sort of renovations, so we couldn’t use it if we wanted to. The breakfast was the most positive part…lots of choices and pretty good. When checking out, they did not even ask us how our stay was. Overall, very disappointing stay.

Ray was so helpful with my stay. Thank you Ray for stepping up and giving exceptional customer service. When I needed extra towels and needed help with a loud neighbor Ray was there to help thank u so much. Everything was clean from top to bottom. I will definitely book again.

Clean beds and nice enough management. The downside was that Netflix, Amazon Prime, or screen mirroring didn’t work, so we had to watch cable. Not preferable, but hopefully they can fix that or upgrade the smart TV system in the future. No streaming options was a letdown. Nice room/bathroom though.

The suite was very spacious and large enough to accommodate all six of us! The staff were all very friendly and helpful and this was a convenient location for us on our trip to visit HersheyPark. Everything was clean and well stocked for us, and checking in and out was nice and easy. I would stay here again!

Stay was good. Staff is friendly. Property is old and dated in appearance in and out. Room layout of Standard King is not functional. Very large closet is other end of room from bath. King bed was only about 12-14” clearance from HVAC unit. Would be hard for average size person to navigate especially in the dark. Sheers were missing and valance box gone with only the top board remaining. Thankfully, bed was newer and very comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Sink faucet hot/cold backwards, perhaps cartridge inserted incorrectly. Lori, the breakfast hostess, is incredibly nice and served us even though we were 5-10 minutes past closing. Our mistake for not knowing it closes at 9:30. Love HI Express so hope this one is brought up to level of most I have stayed in.

Stopped here to rest after a 10 hour drive. It was comfortable enough for one night, but the rooms seemed a bit outdated. The bathroom included Dove products however the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was all the same consistency and seemed very fragrant for a Dove product. The hairdryer in my bathroom also did not work.

The room was enormous with a separate seating area. Very comfortable and a large bathroom with a door. I am a coffee snob and their coffee was excellent, beans are ground for each cup so it is very fresh. There was a nice pool and multiple good restaurants in the area. We paid just a little more than usual but the reward was more than worth it.

Arrived at hotel just after 5pm. Check in went quickly and smoothly. Went to room, which was nice. Was going to get ice but could not find an ice bucket. Returned to lobby to bring back luggage dolly and to see about getting a bucket. Spoke to the desk associate (later told that it was Amber, the Supervisor ) who stated that every room has a bucket, there were no extras and check all the cabinets. The only solution she would offer to provide a plastic sleeve. Checked all the cabinets and found no bucket. Going out to dinner I stopped at the front desk again and spoke to another associate about not finding a bucket who went to the next room to let the supervisor know. Could hear her say again there were no extra buckets and a plastic sleeve would be the only option. Before I left for dinner I did say, loud enough for her to hear, the right thing to do would to be to get a bucket from an unoccupied room for our use. Upon returning from dinner the desk associate had our bucket. After an 8 hour drive the last thing I needed was to deal with trying to get a bucket for our ice. What was most disappointing was, outside of our initial meeting, the supervisor did not speak to me face to face and how inflexible she was. My wife and I saw her on 2 other occasions with no acknowledgment.

Hotel clean with great breakfast. Room only cleaned 1 out of 5 days which was fine. But when we asked for clean towels we were met with blank looks from front desk. And never saw the towels. Front desk employees need to be replaced!

Hotel clean with great breakfast. Room only cleaned 1 out of 5 days which was fine. But when we asked for clean towels we were met with blank looks from front desk. And never saw the towels. Front desk employees need to be replaced!

I recently stayed here and it was by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at!! The manager at the front desk was so professional and kind! The entire staff were amazing-from check-in to check-out. The cleanliness, the flexibility with our stay, and of course the convenience of being right next to the hospital where I had surgery…. this hotel was worth the $$ and earns a 5/5 in every category! (And the breakfast buffet was just an added bonus in my book 👍) I HIGHLY recommend booking a stay at this Holiday Inn!!

Very convenient. Eady off/on highway with grocery store & restaurant nearby. Our room was spacious & super clean. Comfy beds plenty of towels.great, friendly staff. Some noise through the walls but it didn't impact our sleep. We'd definitely stay here again.

Very convenient to 81. Nice facilities. Pool looked inviting but didn't get to try it out. Good breakfast and coffee. 30 minutes from Hershey and much cheaper than Hershey options.

It was a good stay. But when I booked the room i thought it was the same Hotel that i stayed in the year before. The other Hotel is in the town. The hotel looked the same as the last one. We had to drive to get something to eat. The Hotel we stayed at the year before there were restaurants right next door. I hope i can get a room and the Hotel i stayed at the year before. Thanks Paul

This was a decent property, the room was clean, easy free parking. There is no hairdryer which is not a big deal but I like hotel providing them. The breakfast also did not open until 7am on Sunday morning and we had to be at the farm show complex by 7am so it would have been nice to have that open up earlier as I know other chains do. Overall I would recommend

The only disappointing thing about our stay is that my husband has a dairy allergy and they only had cheese and egg omelette. When I asked if they could make just an egg omelette they stated they could not because it was not on the menu of food they were not allowed to cook. Don’t believe it was the staff’s fault but disappointing that they have regulations like this. There is many people with dairy allergies. Entering else was wonderful. Staff, cleanliness and overall every other experience was pleasant.

The room was quiet but the bed and pillows were not very comfortable. The bed felt worn out and the pillows were bulking and stiff. The room was older than I expected and a little worse for wear. They do allow dogs which was nice and the breakfast was good. It was just a SO-SO experience, not sure I will stay there again.

Fantastic spot to stay if working at UPMC West shores it’s a 2 min walk. Great grocery stores closes too. Wonderful staff. Gym could use An upgrade but standard issue hotel gym.

While the hotel was clean, and staff pleasant we were highly disappointed this time. We had stayed here just about every year since we opened as it was close to family we came to see. This year we found the beds hard, pillow choices both uncomfortable, couch old and uncomfortable as well. They pulled coffee makers out of the room, so had to go down 4 floors every time we wanted a coffee. In the past we had brought with us our own coffee and cream and could enjoy numerous cups in our room. The elevator would not go down from the fourth floor. A maid tod us we had to go down a floor. So most of the time we took stairs but on our final day had to go to the third floor and ride up grab our luggage and go down. This seemed a safety hazard as if anyone had a medical emergency the could not get down quickly. We did not eat here, so cannot comment about food but coffee was fine. Mostly because of the hard bed, which my son in another room a floor down stated was the same we will be looking for a new hotel next year.
