Wir wurden spät am abend sehr freundlich empfangen, das hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen aber wirklich sehr gepflegt und sauber. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß, Bad und Toilette getrennt von einander, Perfekt ! Am nächsten morgen war ich allein im Schwimmbad und konnte entspannt meine bahnen ziehen, auch hier sieht man das alter deutlich aber trotzdem ok. Im 9. Stock Frühstück mit Blick über Witten, es war alles da was man braucht um gestärkt in den Tag zu starten auch als Vegetarier. Der Service dort war auch sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir würden wieder kommen, und vielleicht wird ja mal eine modernisierung in Angriff genommen !

Die Parkplatz Vergabe war schlecht geregelt. Wenn der eigene Parkplatz voll ist musste man auf einen öffentlichen, der aber ab 8.00 Uhr gebührenpflichtig ist. Da ist also nichts mit ausschlafen. Schade.

The hotel was old but very well maintained. Cleaned, spacious and walking distance to the central train station. Very friendly and helpful stuff. A bit on expensive side for the location but considering the event going on, UEFA championship it was a very good choice we made. The area around was not the greatest one. Nothing going on and not clean. Surprised with Germany, returning there after 30 years

Auch wenn das Hotel schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist, so war dennoch alles sauber und es wurde darauf geachtet, dass man sich wohlfühlt. Das Frühstück ist völlig ausreichend und frisch. Hervorzuheben ist das wirklich sehr nette Servicepersonal. Wir würden hier wieder übernachten.

Wonderful friendly people, good food in the restaurant, our room was lovely with lots of natural light and it also had a balcony. The breakfast was great. And all this came at a price that was very reasonable. If we get the chance to visit Witten again, this is definitely the hotel we would choose. The gentleman on reception, Holger, was very welcoming and made us feel at home.

And all this came at a price that was very reasonable. If we get the chance to visit Witten again, this is definitely the hotel we would choose. We travelled all the way from Canada to watch the Euro Championship in Germany. Unfortunately, my family and I experienced a very unpleasant situation with one of the employee Saturday morning. We arrived at breakfast service around 10am and we were quite surprised that none of the main dishes were available. While these things may happen, we were extremely disappointed with the service of the employee, Melanie. First, I tried asking her if there was going to be more main dishes coming out, but I was completely ignored. A few minutes later, my two sons also tried to ask her questions about the breakfast but they were very rudely spoken to. Throughout our breakfast, we noticed her behaviour to be very erratic. After this terrible experience I asked her for her name and I told her I was upset with her service. She replied that she is dealing with 100 people and did not apologize for her behaviour. Her service ruined my entire family’s breakfast experience and morning. We were spending all of our time in Dortmund, but decided to stay at this hotel in Witten due to the great reviews about the breakfast service. In fact, we had a delightful breakfast the precious day.

We travelled all the way from Canada to watch the Euro Championship in Germany. Unfortunately, my family and I experienced a very unpleasant situation with one of the employee Saturday morning. We arrived at breakfast service around 10am and we were quite surprised that none of the main dishes were available. While these things may happen, we were extremely disappointed with the service of the employee, Melanie. First, I tried asking her if there was going to be more main dishes coming out, but I was completely ignored. A few minutes later, my two sons also tried to ask her questions about the breakfast but they were very rudely spoken to. Throughout our breakfast, we noticed her behaviour to be very erratic. After this terrible experience I asked her for her name and I told her I was upset with her service. She replied that she is dealing with 100 people and did not apologize for her behaviour. Her service ruined my entire family’s breakfast experience and morning. We were spending all of our time in Dortmund, but decided to stay at this hotel in Witten due to the great reviews about the breakfast service. In fact, we had a delightful breakfast the precious day.

Gute Erreichbarkeit vom Bahnhof. Gute Verbindungen nach Dortmund. Sicherer Parkplatz mit Schranke - allerdings fallen Gebühren von 4€ an. Fährt man weg und kommt wieder muss man neu 4€ bezahlen. Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber alles sehr sauber, freundliches Personal. Schwimmbad schön - angenehme Wassertemperatur. Essen im Restaurant sehr lecker und schöne Ambiente.

Wonderful friendly people, good food in the restaurant, our room was lovely with lots of natural light and it also had a balcony. The breakfast was great. And all this came at a price that was very reasonable. If we get the chance to visit Witten again, this is definitely the hotel we would choose. The gentleman on reception, Holger, was very welcoming and made us feel at home.

Enjoyed our stay but with a heatwave and a hotel with no air conditioning it was horrendous we managed to buy the last two fans in the town so room was a bit better but we were staying six days so spent a lot of time in place with air con to cool down, staff were very good friendly and professional A big thank you to them.
