It is conveniently located about 2 blocks from public parking of which is 7€ a day and under cover, so car stays cool. It is about 5 minutes from the town plaza with many restaurants and 20 minutes from the Old City and so many more restaurants. La réceptionniste m’a littéralement craché sa haine au visage, d’une violence verbale et d’un manque de professionnalisme incroyables, simplement parce que j’ai demandé s’il était possible d’effectuer le check-in un peu plus tôt. Après un voyage de nuit épuisant, j’avais pourtant précisé que j’étais prêt à payer un supplément, mais visiblement la politesse et le sens du service ne font pas partie de leurs priorités. Une fois dans la chambre, une odeur nauséabonde de produits chimiques et de renfermé nous frappe de plein fouet dès l’entrée, rendant l’atmosphère presque irrespirable. Cerise sur le gâteau, la télévision ne tient même pas correctement sur son support, un détail qui en dit long sur l’état général et l’entretien de l’établissement. Certes, l’hôtel est bien situé, mais cela ne compense en rien l’accueil glacial, l’ambiance désagréable et la négligence manifeste. Une expérience déplorable que je ne souhaite à personne. À fuir si vous tenez à votre confort, à votre tranquillité et à un minimum de respect.

A simple and quite old hotel but everything was very clean, the bed was comfy and most importantly the aircon worked perfectly even if it was extremely hot outside. The location was also excellent: 5 minutes walk from the railwaystation and 20 minutes walk from from the cité medieval.

Rum med ac och ett riktigt kylskåp med frysfack! Att komma tillbaka till rummet efter en varm dag och ta en iskall öl är trevligt. Nära till butiker för att köpa vatten m.m och sevärdheter. Trevlig personal som kunde mycket bra engelska. God frukost. Resans bästa baguetter, levererade av det lokala bageriet varje morgon. Enda problemet var att gardinstången rasade ner plötsligt, och de kunde inte fixa det, så sista natten sov vi utan gardiner.

This hotel is what it is. Low-cost, but very tired hotel. It’s close to the station and town. Eminently walkable to Carcassonne Medieval City. I had an afternoon in Carcassonne. After getting off the train, I wanted to leave my bags there and see the town. I then had a meal, go to sleep, and wake up early the next day to catch a train. It was perfect for my needs. Not a place for romantic weekend away. No doubt, I could have paid three times what I did and stayed somewhere new. But I saved the money for other trips

Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small, but adequate. Although close to the train station and a 5 minute walk to a square with several restaurants, the hotel itself is not in the best area. Nothing around it and rather run down with lots of vacant buildings. 30 minute walk to the Cite. Very affordable. Adequate, but not exceptional.

The staff were exceptional helpful and friendly. I had a muddle with my booking, my own fault, and the person at reception sorted it without me even needing to ask. She also lent me an umbrella when it rained a bit. The room was also very nice, with a comfortable bed and a very big nicely decorated bathroom. The road is not at all interesting but very near a ruly beautiful church and the main street and square.

Great location. We paid for breakfast and there was an amazing selection. Our room had a huge terrace outside which was prefect for us. Room was nice but we found the bed too hard and uncomfortable.

I have stayed here before, and find it really safe, friendly and comfortable. It is really close to the railway station, and to the centre of town. The people who work there are very knowledgeable and kind. My room looked out onto a quiet courtyard full of light, so it was very peaceful. All in all a very reasonably-priced hotel and nice people who run it. Free coffee and tea in the room, too!

After getting off the train, I wanted to leave my bags there and see the town. I then had a meal, go to sleep, and wake up early the next day to catch a train. It was perfect for my needs. Not a place for romantic weekend away. No doubt, I could have paid three times what I did and stayed somewhere new. But I saved the money for other trips

Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small, but adequate. Although close to the train station and a 5 minute walk to a square with several restaurants, the hotel itself is not in the best area. Nothing around it and rather run down with lots of vacant buildings. 30 minute walk to the Cite. Very affordable. Adequate, but not exceptional.

A simple and quite old hotel but everything was very clean, the bed was comfy and most importantly the aircon worked perfectly even if it was extremely hot outside. The location was also excellent: 5 minutes walk from the railwaystation and 20 minutes walk from from the cité medieval.

Rum med ac och ett riktigt kylskåp med frysfack! Att komma tillbaka till rummet efter en varm dag och ta en iskall öl är trevligt. Nära till butiker för att köpa vatten m.m och sevärdheter. Trevlig personal som kunde mycket bra engelska. God frukost. Resans bästa baguetter, levererade av det lokala bageriet varje morgon. Enda problemet var att gardinstången rasade ner plötsligt, och de kunde inte fixa det, så sista natten sov vi utan gardiner.

Great location. We paid for breakfast and there was an amazing selection. Our room had a huge terrace outside which was prefect for us. Room was nice but we found the bed too hard and uncomfortable.

What a charming hotel , a gem of a budget hotel . We’ve stayed here before and is a great place to stay for a short time as you explore the area or are just passing through . The staff are charming and very friendly . The breakfast is excellent for the money . This hotel is so central for the town and station and car parks and shops ,restaurants and bars . The castle is a lovely walk away or there is a bus stop very close by for €1 euro to take you up the hill to the medieval city . Tucked away in a back street this hotel is super quiet , safe and very very good value . Everywhere inside is airconditioned and has free WiFi . It is an old building and as such first impressions will say it’s outdated but there is always a bit of decorating or remedial work carefully going on . The rooms are adequate and clean and quite quirky in a chintzy way . The first thing that came to mind is shabby sheek. All in all for the money and friendliness a great hotel …..

Chambre propre. L'hôtel mériterait un rafraîchissement mais reste correct pour le prix. Ce qui gâche tout, c'est l'attitude de la réceptionniste du matin. Au moment de mon départ, elle m'a interpellée au sujet d'un avis que j'avais laissé — un avis pourtant neutre — sur un ton vindicatif et clairement disproportionné. Pour me le faire payer, elle a refusé de conserver ma valise, sans que je lui aie rien demandé. Être confrontée pour un avis mitigé, c'est proprement incompréhensible. Un client a le droit de donner son ressenti honnête. Le rôle d'un établissement est d'en tenir compte, pas d'en faire un motif de tension.
