Reception staff polite and efficient but sadly the pool was closed / I asked at reception before fetching my swimming bag from the car park, then the way back through the hotel to be met with a sign saying the pool was closed - would have helped if the reception staff knew it was out of order. I only booked this hotel to be able to use the pool so it’s pretty disappointing - also don’t think hotel residents should have to pay to park on site in a rural village location!!

Hotel is fine. A little dated and needs a bit of maintenance but no problems. Nice outside area. Car park a bit of a shambles with cars just abandoned all over even on the grass. £5 charge for parking too. My bad... Should have checked when. Booking. Taxi to and from Otley was reasonable £10 at time of writing with Arrow Cars. Nice and easy booking.

Very dated and quite tatty in the corridors and room. Bar/restaurant staff were very unhelpful as there was an event on they were only serving bar food which was limited and expensive plus a 40 min wait definitely wasn’t worth it. Swimming pool was nice although unlike most hotels I had to pay extra to use it.

Decent enough budget hotel BUT let down by woefully inadequate parking availability. For ££5 a night I expect a space without driving around for 20 minutes and taking pot luck on grass verges or double parking another resident wouldnt choose to stay here again because of this

The booking said the hotel had a pool, but I had to pay 4 euros to use it, and towel hire was another 2 euros. The pool closed at five, so I didn’t get much opportunity to use it. If the pool facility is included in the room description, I think it is included in the price of the room. I feel cheated! Staff at the hotel were very nice though.

I will be posting pictures of the filthy air vent in the bathroom, mold in bathroom and no locks on bathroom door. Plus an extra 5 pound parking fee is “just a little extra ” expense that was explained at check in. There were very limited parking areas open. Disappointed and will not book again.

The hotel is a bit tired now. We didn't get to use the leisure facilities as they close early on a weekend. The room was dated and dirty. Fittings were falling off the wall, the towels hadn't been changed as there was toothpaste on them from whoever used the room last. The walls were stained in places, all of the wood on the edges had all come off and the floor hadn't been hoovered.

Corridor smelt of smoke. Smoke coming through the vents in the room. Selfish guests. Pool advertised but when you get there, there’s an additional few! Parking charge - not advised until we got there.

Staff were friendly & helpful albeit laking with the information about lack of housekeeping during stay. Bins in room had not been emptied before we entered room & we had to arrange for this to happen after our first night as well as asking for clean towels. Bathroom had black mold round sink & bath & many surfaces dusty or dirty. Water always very hot (care needed as a bit too hot!) & always plenty of it. Breakfast had a good choice & well cooked. Staff friendly & helpful.

Breakfast average?. Beds comfy. Acceptably clean. Pleasant staff. We asked for a quiet room which was good as there was a wedding party going on in the disco with very loud music. It was a very hot night in the UK when we arrived. This hotel is one that has little labels stuck on the window you are trying to open more than 2 inches, saying the reason for this restriction is for your health and safety as 'Windows are dangerous'. I went to reception to ask for the key to open the window further and unlock the safety feature. I was told he did not have the key. When I asked who did have he said no one in the hotel had them.... It was a health and safety feature! I pointed out that on an airless night with temperatures in the '80s it was both a risky and ridiculous feature. There were two fans provided in the room. However, all the sockets were on the far side of the room and given the short leads, they could only stand in one place. Were it not for this fan I dread to think how our night would have finished. Policies such as this hotels follow the letter of the law to cover their own backs whilst failing to use common sense thereby ignoring obvious guests needs. I would absolutely avoid this place if it was warm weather.

No air con,bath wath falling apart mold all around bath ild bed frame every turn the bed frame was creaking kept me awake. Hotel pool on the hottest day had hwating on in pool,and restaurants opened at 630 as a paying customer was unable to use til a coach part was served first making it was 730. Hotel was built it early 80s and still looks like it live in 80s shocking

Lady on reception was lovely when we checked in. Arrived at 19 55 after checking the timings of the restaurant online. Was told restaurant closed in 5 mins despite it saying 9pm online. Was given a takeaway menu instead. Room had everything we needed for the night. Bathroom very very small. Could not close the door until you were straddled over the toilet bowel. Hot water for showers. Partner found bed uncomfortable but i was ok. It did make loud noises though when getting on and off (nightmare with a newborn). Decent choice at breakfast and again staff there were lovely. Partner wanted to use leisure facilities before leaving but had to pay despite already paying for the night and breakfast. All other hotels we have stayed in you can use facilities as standard

Average stay, corridors and stairs cleanliness was poor. Room was good clean and spacious . Take it or leave it attitude by some staff. Buffet style help yourself food service that was dried out. Reception had poor communication as on checkin didn’t explain you had to buy tokens for dinner and breakfast. Ended up queuing for restaurant then having to go to reception to get tokens. WiFi where I stayed on second floor was non existent and no signal on 5G either. Had to go up to reception to make calls or do emails

Walls are paper thin. I was subjected to every word of conversations both sides of my room, then kept awake for hours by snoring and coughing of next door guest. I discovered an old disgarded vest on the bedroom floor behind the chair, so cleaning clearly isn't very thorough. WIFI is only free in bar area. Dinner menu is like school dinners.

Check in slow Asked to complete form but not given pen even after asking several times. Not able to add breakfast at check in - not sure why. Think they were overwhelmed by lots of people checking in at once. Bed was uncomfortable and moved when I moved. Room was noisy with doors banging all night. Breakfast was nice, hot food was good but very disappointing only instant coffee available instead of filter / espresso. Probably wouldn’t have paid for breakfast if known as had to get coffee somewhere else. Lady on breakfast was really nice and accommodating. All in all good things and things that could be improved.

Very happy with the stay, only complaint is that we asked for an early morning call at 4.45am which did not happen, luckily we woke in time as we had a flight to catch.

A friendly, welcoming greeting as we arrived. The hotel seemed calm but busy. It was clean and comfortable in our rooms. The shower and bathroom served its purpose well. Noise was at a low for an airport hotel, so sleep was enjoyed.

Although really late check in, staff dealt promptly. Friendly service at a very nice breakfast. Check out dealt with swiftly.

The check in was not satisfactory. Entry key was not programmed for the room and had to go back to reception which was the full length of hotel. Having the key replaced and gaining entry to room found room not ready bed stripped and dirty glasses left. Room then changed but no apology was made at reception. Very poor.

I booked this hotel so that I could be at the Leeds Bradford airport at 4:30am. The staff were quite nice. I should have read the listing more carefully to see that in-room Internet was an additional GPB 7. (Free Internet in the reception area, two floors from my room.) The airport shuttle was not for people who booked online as I did, but there was a direct line to a taxi company to schedule a ride to the airport. The health club had standard exercise equipment, plus a pool and sauna. That was an addition GBP 4 for those who booked as I did through Expedia. The person at the health club desk suggested that I could bring a towel from my room if I didn't want to pay the additional GBP 2 for a towel. There was a restaurant that opened at 6:30pm, but I didn't want to wait until 7, after two tour buses of people had eaten - I wanted dinner at 5:30-6 so I could go to bed early for my flight. The bartender helpfully suggested the Fox & Hounds nearby, which was lovely. The room was a bit over $100, and it was okay for that price (once I turned on the heat and it got warm). But it just felt like nickel and diming - a little charge here and there - for people who booked as I did through Expedia.

On the good side, room was comfortable. Tea available in room. Check in and check out, fast. Receptionist was fine. On the other side, I booked as I thought it was close to airport and hotels.com listed that it had a shuttle bus. I sent an email to the hotel asking about the shuttle bus, and received a message saying the office was closed. On arrival at 10:00 pm Leeds/Bradford, I called the number provided, and office was closed. Eventually got a 16 pound uber to hotel and there was a sign on desk saying there was no shuttle bus services anymore--only private taxis. It would have been easier to simply get a hotel in central Leeds if you're arriving late and traveling/connecting by train.

Though 2 miles from the airport no shuttle and a ripoff taxi will cost £18. Ask your pilot not to arrive late! Food not served after 9.00pm and the bar closed at 10.00pm. Only option was a Kebab Takeaway menu or selection of overpriced sweets and crisps from a 2/3 empty vending machine. TV remote refused to work. Breakfast was a standard buffet, mostly overcooked to a crisp, with a broken coffee machine and uncleared tables. Staff looked overworked and glum. Taxi the next morning to Leeds Railway Station another £18, so get the bus from outside the hotel. Hope you don't have a lot of luggage if you do.

Absolutely fine, to say it’s an airport hotel it was so quiet and we didn’t see or hear a single plane! It’s a busy hotel but quiet and clean, will definitely stay again.

Nice hotel and lovely staff.....only down sidecwas restaurant shutvas ee arrived 2030 hrs (bit early in my book) so had to get a fast food take away ...which was recommended by hotel and was delicious. Hotel arranged taxi to airport and that was waiting for us when we arrived at reception in the morning. Excellent stay

Check in slow Asked to complete form but not given pen even after asking several times. Not able to add breakfast at check in - not sure why. Think they were overwhelmed by lots of people checking in at once. Bed was uncomfortable and moved when I moved. Room was noisy with doors banging all night. Breakfast was nice, hot food was good but very disappointing only instant coffee available instead of filter / espresso. Probably wouldn’t have paid for breakfast if known as had to get coffee somewhere else. Lady on breakfast was really nice and accommodating. All in all good things and things that could be improved.

Bathroom had many pubic hairs in the bath, on the walls close to the bath. Truly revolting. Tried calling reception 3 times. No answer, so had to myself in order to have a shower. Food choice was very limited and very over priced. £17 for pie, over cooked / wet veg. Chips looked like they been there a long time. If you opted for roasts, they were over cooked / dried up and as hard as a golf ball. Expected better. Would never stay again.

Good location. Very comfortable and clean. Fan in room much appreciated. Lounge area clean, tidy and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the pool was closed on Sunday which was disappointing. One other downside - no bar food available on Saturday evening - buffet main could have been hotter and was a little tired. On the plus side bar food on Sunday evening was excellent!

Really disappointed in dinner options- Luke warm buffet and only one vegetarian option.Had already contacted Britannia to see if there was anything other than a buffet at night and was assured they did more as well.Salad bar ( only available if you chose the fixed price 3 course version of the buffet ) was totally uninspiring. sliced cucumber , tomatoes lettuce coleslaw, pickled red cabbage and beetroot. Service in bar was great but having people clear and sweep up around you at 8 pm is not great. Won't stay here again or at least would choose to eat in the Fox and hounds 5 mins away who do plenty of veggie options

The property has a pool/gym on all its adverts but it is extra to use the facility, only £4 but i assumed it would have been free for hotel guests. Hotel is situated in a lovely area, some good pubs, fish and chips and cafes nearby walk if you don't want to eat in the hotel. Hotel bar and restaurant is open and airy and the weather was beautiful when i stayed so many people say around the grounds outside as plenty of seating options. Lots of parking on the site and again is an extra £5 per night.

Stayed for one night as I was going to a wedding locally. We checked in late and it was very easy to do so. The Stafford allowed us to put the car in the car park prior to the wedding as long as we entered our registration number. There is a £5 charge for parking overnight for guests. The hotel felt quite tired, although was relatively clean. The corridor where our room was smelt of cigarette smoke which was unpleasant but luckily did not seep into the room. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean.
