One point to note first - despite the name, this is nowhere close to Cambridge South station, but is right next to Whittlehurst Parkway - there is little within walking distance in the surrounding area, so best if you have a car, but there are regular trains to cambridge that take 10-15 minutes. The hotel itself is fine, clean and modern. Staff friendly, small bar at the reception if you want a drink or coffee.

The hotel needs a maintenance team in. AirCon not working rooms were extremely hot. Toilets are leaking in different rooms and food is very average. I stayed when it was holiday in as I work a lot in area. Since it’s changed management in the short time it’s struggling.

Location was excellent for our visit to Duxford. Arrived by train, 1 minute walk to hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Night before our visit to IWM used kiosk in lobby to order taxi for our ride to airfield and back. Not a lot of dining choices if you don’t have a car, but no problem for us. Breakfast buffet is very well prepared with various choices for hot or continental. Had dinner here too and food was also very good. Highly recommend if you need to stay in this area.

Having stayed here several times now, I continue to have a very positive experience and it has become my go-to option whenever I’m in the area for work. The location is extremely convenient, particularly for commuting into Cambridge, with the train station literally on the doorstep and easy access to Stansted Airport and the surrounding areas. It also offers very good value for money, with reasonable room rates as well as fairly priced food and drinks within the hotel. The staff are consistently friendly, helpful and accommodating, and their excellent service is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The rooms are comfortable and, although I’ve had a couple of minor issues on previous stays, the staff have always dealt with them professionally and done their best to make sure I was happy. Overall, it’s a comfortable, convenient and well-priced hotel that works perfectly for my business trips to Cambridge. After several stays, I’m still very happy to recommend it and will definitely stay again.
