The front desk staff was helpful and efficient and the gym was amazing!!!

Parking for the building is not intuitive and hard to find without going in and asking first, which is a pain as theres no parking outside the building. In the corner room, there is a giant pillar that prevents the curtains from closing completely, leaking in light.

This property was a good value for the money. The staff was friendly and efficient. The bellman superb, with helpful information on parking, checkin and the area. Lots of restaurant choices but be sure to check google before you pick one as there are several fine dining ($100 ) establishments mixed in. On-site breakfast - Omelettes and French Toast were VERY good as well as the service. Continental breakfast was ‘free’ if ordering from the menu. Not so great - no clear direction on the onsite parking (behind the building/around the block). The pool is part of a fitness center attached to the building. The hours on the weekend are very restricted which is disappointing when the kids are counting on it. Pool closed at 3 on Saturday and was only open from 8-9 a.m. on Sunday before checkout. Pool itself was super warm and there was a hot tub and sauna as well which were not busy at 8 a.m. :). Last but not least, maid or someone had peed in the toilet and left it there which is certainly a turnoff to see first thing. Despite those couple of drawbacks, we spent $50-$75 less than on comparable hotels and I would definitely stay here again.

I booked this hotel specifically because it was my son's birthday day and this hotel had a pool. Little did I know that the pool closed at 3:30 pm while check in was 3:00 pm. Wouldn't have stayed here if i knew this info.

The hotel was clean, great location, friendly staff. A huge plus, known to us when we booked, is you get free access to the MAC fitness facility next door, which is fully equipped for any type of workout including 2 lap pools and a rec pool for kids!

The hotel pool and exercise facilities are part of a club that hotel guests have privileges too but they have limited hours. Initially I called I was told by hotel staff there was no pool. Then I spoke to someone else who said there was - but closed at 4 on Sat. And the main reason we picked this hotel was for a pool. A few days before our stay, while I was debating switching hotels I was told we could get early check in to use the pool before it closed, no problem. While driving to MD I called to secure the early check-in and was told no. When we arrived at 1:00 I was told no again (but other people were checking in). We finally were able to check in at 2:30 (instead of 3) and got an hour of pool time but there was a lot of misinformation and frustration involved. Kudos to the team member who did get us a room at 2:30.

Found ants in my room

Sheets were dirty , carpet extremely dirty. Uncomfortable bed, reservation was for a king size bed and was placed in a double full size Uncomfortable mattress.

Had to wait to be checked in..25 min..comforter was dirty, the extremely nice lady came and changed it but that one had a cigarette hole in it and also had stains. The water in the sink was slow going down and the shower pressure was terrible. So many other things, lets just say i will not be staying here ever again.

My room needed to be changed. It was not thoroughly cleaned, The wall that the air conditioning system was in, was loose, blowing dust out of it. Our first room was dirty and the wall was peeling. No remote, no pillow cases, no coffee maker. The second room wasn't cleaned, the amenities, (cups, sugar, coffee) I had to go downstairs again to get some. To spend $170/night and the room was small for double beds, wear and tear on the rooms, I would've expected a better room for the price and the carpet was dirty and the rug was coming up, so the door wouldn't close unless we slammed the door shut with our bodies. I was more impressed last year. The Hilton Garden Inn didn't live up to the name, I expected. I was really disappointed and to think I had to pay for parking, when I never moved my car for the four days I was there. I'm not sure if I'll be back.

I stayed here 2yrs ago and it was so fresh and clean. This time around I can tell no effort was put in place to take care of any of the facility areas. The rugs look and felt filthy , the furniture was cheap, cracked and dusty, but worst of all the bedding looks like they haven't been replaced since the opening of this place! I will say my biggest pet peeve has to be the parking garage. I truly don't understand why a rate is not created for your guest. I may have spent more in parking than I did the actual room.

We were 3 nights in Baltimore. And nobody cleaned my room. Every night I came back to this hotel and ask about cleaning, extra towels and coffee cartridges. I don’t hard recommend this hotel for everyone.

My room was filthy. There was was appeared to be dried blood on the blanket on one of the beds. The shower curtain was filthy and shredded and the sink, toilet and tub were dirty. I always travel with cleaning supplies, but this was ridiculous.

The stay overall was nice because of the location, but our room had stained carpet, stained lampshades, flat pillows, and a not great mattress. The hallway smelled of weed.

Housekeeper entered the room while we were out and we didn’t request housekeeping. Took the used towels, which required requesting more from the front desk. Ice maker didn’t work on our floor or the floor below; had to try a few floors to find a working machine. Shower left a puddle on the floor every use, no matter what. Bed linens were ripped.

Small room, bit beat up and the temperature is fixed so you can't really get the room cold. Shower water pressure also comes and goes. Stay were friendly and helpful

My AC kept cutting off while I slept and it got so hot that I got a nose bleed. I kept having to turn it back on and it was so humid that I had to dry my clothes with a hair dryer before putting them on. The little sleep that I did have was usually cut short but revving cars so I would recommend not staying on the side that overlooks the circle. I had to stay here for work but I will never stay at a Hilton Garden by my own choice. That was awful.

Great location. Property was very clean although the rooms were on the small size and needed some updating. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating.

Hotel was ok but quite rundown for the area and the cost. It was not especially dirty but the wallpaper was peeling, the carpets in the whole place were stained, the bedding didnt fit well and it just seemed like Hilton forgot about this place. The location is great but i should have paid the extra $40 to stay at the Marriott. Also, the vents in the room blow directly at the head of the bed, so its like sleeping with a face in your face.

The hotel is very conveniently located and short walking distance to many shops and restaurants in Fells Point. The hotel rooms themselves are VERY in need of repair, cleaning and upgrading. Wall paper was falling off the wall, the lamp shades were stained with big yellow stains and the bathroom doors - which are French doors - very poor design and hard to use, we’re also broken. We stayed in 921 (if anyone from the property is reading this - PLEASE fix this room!) The room we have overlooked the circle and had a sliver of water view. But was very loud and you could hear the street traffic and noise all night. A few times we were disturbed by a group of “slingshot” cars blasting music around the circle. Are there tours or gangs of slingshots In Baltimore? Not that you can help that but if you are looking for a good night rest, this isn’t the hotel for you. On our way out the lobby elevator to the garage reeked of urine so bad we had to actually cover our mouths and noses. Clearly someone is using this elevator as their personal bathroom and the hotel is not doing anything about it. That alone is reason enough not to stay here ever again. The rates are way too high for the low quality hotel. Truly hope this hotel gets the proper attention and good management it needs. The proximity to shops, restaurants is literally the only plus.

Only bad thing - Bed was like a sinkhole. Had a hard time getting out.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night and had a great experience! We flew in for a wedding we were attending on a Saturday morning. We were hoping to have early check in for our room, as the wedding we were attending was at 5:00 pm and entering the room at 3:00 pm wouldn’t be sufficient time to get ready. When we arrived at the hotel by 10:15 am, they informed us they had early check in available right away, free of charge! We were very thankful and appreciate to have access to the room early. It allowed us to leave our luggage in the room, enjoy the hotel’s breakfast buffet (for a decently priced fee), and have time to go shop for needed items at a CVS right around the corner. The room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful corner window that we could look out to the Harbor too. Overall, while our stay was short, we felt very well attendend and comfortable. We definitely intend to return to this hotel if we’re in the area again!

This was a busy weekend, completely booked but the front desk staff was unhelpful. They failed to explain the parking payment detail upon arrival, could not offer check in until after the published 3pm time, no late check out and kept using the excuse of the being busier then usual. There is also only one lobby restroom total which is not enough for the size of the property.

Staff was slow and check in took forever

While the location of the hotel is great-walkable to the waterfront, Fell’s Point, shopping and dining options-the staff are the true all-stars. The team at the front desk is exceptional-genuinely friendly, attentive, professional and clearly focused on ensuring their guests have an enjoyable stay. The gentleman at the door was also a gem-we were greeted with a big smile and a helping hand when we arrived, and he had a great rapport with his teammates and other guests. Definitely recommend if you are staying in the Inner Harbor area-great spot and excellent staff!

The staff at this property was really rude. First they gave me the wrong room with two beds instead of a king size like I made in my reservation. When I called to complain they told they were booked and to deal with it. No apologies, nothing . When we checked out the lady in the front was again rude . She asked how stay was and we said it was bad she interrumpted us and stated “ oh , you paid through expedia you are good to go” horrible service no apologies . Their customer service is non existent

Staff was excellent.

Very slow checkin (40 minutes). Another person waiting in line said this is normal on the weekends. Everything else was average or acceptable.

Long wait to check in

I stayed 3 nights and could not get housekeeping to come clean even once. After yelling at front desk got them to come in after 4pm on my last night for a hasty clean.

Overall, we had a nice stay at this hotel. Check in was a rough experience. We were given a room number and when we got into the room, other guests were in there saying that it was their room. We apologized and went back downstairs to get a new room. Once we got to the new room, there were also guests already checked into that room. After another trip down to the lobby to explain the situation, they upgraded our room to a suite. The check in situation seems very unorganized, but otherwise this hotel stay was wonderful. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Great view of the water as well!

The worst hotel experience ever, any where in the world. Horrible staff, rude, ill mannered, out right despicable. I left and will never return. I was verbally abused for up to 10 mins by 2 staff members. The abuse started with the Valet Parking staff who was insulting me for parking where another staff asked me to park earlier during check in. I was called all sort of names, most of the abuse took place at the front desk, where the staff refused to check me out when I decided not to stay at the hotel, she said she did not know how to do it and walked away. I had been up since 3am as my wife had surgery to remove a tumor in her brain at John Hopkins. All this took place close to midnight.

This hotel offers a nice, clean and affordable place to stay that is within walking distance to the harbor and a variety of shops.

This hotel is in a great location near lots of shops and restaurants. Check in was smooth and they accommodated my late arrival. Front desk staff was super friendly. I highly suggest this hotel in Baltimore.

The hotel location is great! So much is within walking distance, inner harbor, stores, restaurants, movie theater, and markets! Everything you need.

Horrible Experience – Unsafe, Overpriced, and Completely Unacceptable We booked this hotel for our honeymoon, traveling with our two little ones, expecting a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Instead, we encountered a series of disappointments, rude service, and a serious safety concern that completely ruined our trip. First, the bathroom situation was unacceptable—there was no exhaust fan, and instead of a proper door, there was a closet-style door that provided no privacy whatsoever. This was incredibly inconvenient for a family stay. Breakfast was another major issue. For a Hilton-branded hotel, we never expected that breakfast would not be included—something even the most budget-friendly hotels offer. Not only was there zero communication about the additional charge, but the selection was shockingly poor. When we inquired about hot breakfast options, we were told they weren’t available because there weren’t enough guests. Yet, we were only informed that breakfast was an extra charge after we had already eaten—when we were unexpectedly handed a check to sign. The lack of transparency and quality was completely unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. However, the most alarming issue was a serious safety hazard. Our 8-year-old daughter got bundled up and stuck in her tightly tucked sheets during the night. She was struggling to free herself, and if we hadn’t noticed in time, this could have led to a choking hazard.!

The restaurant incorporated into the hotel has good food and the complimentary breakfast is great. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean, but the hotel is showing it's age.

When booking someone said free breakfast then am in there and am charged 16 dollars for a plate. Nkt!

Breakfast staff very friendly

I liked the location and how walkable that area of the city is. But the hotel layout is confusing with no maps or visuals. Having to use the key cards to go up and down the elevators was a major pain, and while a lot of the staff were friendly and eager to help, they also had their fair share of people who were rude and not very helpful at all. My girlfriend asked the bartender on the 2nd floor for help and/or guidance on how to get to our room and was met with nothing but rude comments about how the front desk didn’t tell her to go to the 2nd floor. But the lady I talked to in valet was nice helped me find the parking garage. This was the first time ever in my life I had to pay for a continental breakfast. $16 for a buffet that just ok at best and charged my girlfriend $12 for one waffle that she made herself. If I ever visit Baltimore again, I will be choosing a different hotel!

All in all we were very pleased with our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. The food in the restaurant on the second floor of the hotel was excellent! We did not care for however, the pillows! They were so flat, that even when we put all the pillows together, they were still very uncomfortable.
