Studio 6 Lenexa - Overland Park

Dogs running around without lashes. Peeing everywhere. 2nd floor carpet off the elevator smell terrible. No shampoo. I had to ask front desk. No tissue paper had to use toilet paper. No housekeeping. Fight broke out in the lobby over a dog not on a lash and the person at counter just watched and did nothing. No police were called ... just terrible. Overall, just terrible. Felt like I was in East St Louis.

All was good

We were very pleasantly surprised with our room and three nights stay at studio six. When I realized it was affiliated with Motel six I considered not checking in and going elsewhere, but we decided to go look at it and were very pleasantly surprised. Our room was very clean and the kitchen facilities were nice to have. The bed was comfortable and our room was quiet. The front desk clerk, Claudia, gave an amazing customer service and was extremely friendly. Overall, it was a surprisingly pleasant stay, exceeding our expectations.

Kitchen was stocked with pots and pans. Desk, tv, closet, iron and ironing board. Lots of plugs for devices.

This is a very basic hotel as stated. No breakfast, no pool, no shampoo/conditioner, etc. But price for the area was much lower than other properties. There is a full size fridge so we brought items for breakfast/snacks/drinks and if we needed something else, QT is right across the street. Staff was friendly, room was clean, bed was comfy, nice little workout room, hotel was very quiet. It is in an industrial area so weekdays may be noiser but weekend was fine. Easy on and off the hwy. My only complaint is that the hotel smells of smoke on the 1st floor when you enter til the elevator. My guess is from people smoking outside the side doors. Our room was on the 3rd floor and had no smell so we were good. Will stay again bc it's a grear deal for the area.
