Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, which is conveniently located on a main road about a 15 minute walk from the central bus station (located in a large shopping mall) and a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction to Bratislava old town. Restaurants and shopping are nearby, as is a Leidl grocery store. The hotel has a nice breakfast and professional staff. The rooms have older decor but are very functional and include a refrigerator/mini bar, a safe, a heat lamp in the bathroom & good working climate control. A welcome drink is offered at check-in and the front desk is staffed all night long. Suggestions for improvements include a better gym with updated equipment, longer breakfast hours with almond milk or non-dairy items available, and softer/thicker cotton bed linens. Despite these minor items, we had a great time at this hotel and would recommend it. The restaurants nearby were wonderful (SOHO and Basilico).

Beautiful hotel. The rooms are lovely and the jacuzzi was such an amazing final touch. The check in staff were so nice and everything about our stay was perfect. Lovely buffet breakfast with great coffee. Couldn’t have asked for more. Location is perfect for exploring Bratislava and for accessing transport links. Truly a 5* service. The staff there need a special mention for their outstanding professionalism and kindness.

Nice clean room with very comfortable beds. We were facing the road but there was no traffic noise. Breakfast choice was extensive and all the staff were very friendly. It's just a short walk to the Old Town and I'd definitely use it again. The negatives: there was no bar in the evening and the restaurant isn't open in the evenings but the set meal price for lunch looked very good. There are other restaurants in the area which were good but when it's cold (we went for the Christmas markets) it would be nice to eat in the hotel. Small complaints though

The hotel is very nice and breakfast was wonderful. Our bubbler /spa tub did not work or we just did not know how to use it and once in…kinda late to call for directions. When you walk outside of hotel … first impression is area a little sketchy… but we actually had no problems even walking our dogs…and few blocks away the town is fabulous! I give it 5 stars for kindness and breakfast lady who makes best hot chocolate 10 stars!

Nettes Hotel in praktischer Lage. Von der Austattung und dem Zustand der Zimmer her aber für mich nicht nachvollziehbar wie dieses Hotel die 4 Sterne bekommen hat. Durch die günstigen Zimmerpreise und das kostenlose Parken aber als Gesamtpaket völlig ok. Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet war eher klein und nicht so doll.

Lovely, clean and well presented hotel which ticks most boxes. Rooms have free access to Netflix which is a nice feature. Breakfast is fine but it would be good if they had non-dairy milk out rather than having to ask for it. My only issue at the hotel was the road noise. If you're a light sleeper, you may struggle with the noise outside, particularly on the first floor. I spoke to reception and was told that all of the standard double rooms faced the road. I opted to downgrade to a single room on an upper floor at the rear of the building. It was so much quieter and more peaceful enabling a proper night's sleep. I would recommend the hotel if you have a room that faces the back as it is a lovely place.

I had a great stay at Hotel Danubia Gate. It is great hotel in a very good position. It is near the old town. It is close to transport links. The hotel was very quiet. Breakfast was good. There was a good choice. Staff were helpful. The room was a single room and it was bigger than I thought it would be. It was very clean and had everything I needed.

Kleinschalig hotel, heel vriendelijk personeel, spreken goed engels. Ontbijtruimte is klein, maar is niet erg. Goede airco op de kamer met kluis. Zelfs met buitentemperatuur van 38), was het heel fris op de kamer. Goede bedden, je had keuze van beddenkussen. Dicht bij het centrum, op wandelafstand./ Lidl op 200m, ook open op zondag.Goede douche. Het is er heel stil, geen lawaai van verkeer. Prijs/kwaliteit is heel goed, zouden dit zeker terug nemen als we nog eens gaan.

I had a great stay at Hotel Danubia Gate. It is great hotel in a very good position. It is near the old town. It is close to transport links. The hotel was very quiet. Breakfast was good. There was a good choice. Staff were helpful. The room was a single room and it was bigger than I thought it would be. It was very clean and had everything I needed.

L’aspetto migliore era l’ampiezza della stanza e la vicinanza al centro storico. Di negativo segnalerei che l’arredamento era antico, il fatto che entra la luce in stanza presto e le tende non sono sufficienti ad oscurare. Il bagno per portatori di handicap che mi è stato assegnato era un po’ scomodo. La colazione buona ma in uno spazio piccolo e con la sensazione di essere osservati dai camerieri

Me encantó este hotel. Muy pequeñito pero el personal más amable que me ha tocado en mucho tiempo. Te dan muchas cositas para consentir: fruta, agua siempre disponibles en lobby, té, café, agua en la habitación. Kit de belleza que me ayudó mucho pq ya no tenía esponjitas. Cama cómoda, escritorio, armario, todo cómodo.
Me encantó este hotel. Muy pequeñito pero el personal más amable que me ha tocado en mucho tiempo. This is a great hotel and everything about it was great. Breakfast really good and kept topping it up. Walking distance everywhere. Tram station short stroll away. Lady who checked us in was really nice and helpfull as was the man who checked us out; as well as the breakfast staff. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

It's just a short walk to the Old Town and I'd definitely use it again. I had a great stay at Hotel Danubia Gate. It is great hotel in a very good position. It is near the old town. It is close to transport links. The hotel was very quiet. Breakfast was good. There was a good choice. Staff were helpful. The room was a single room and it was bigger than I thought it would be. It was very clean and had everything I needed.

Lovely, clean and well presented hotel which ticks most boxes. Rooms have free access to Netflix which is a nice feature. Breakfast is fine but it would be good if they had non-dairy milk out rather than having to ask for it. My only issue at the hotel was the road noise. If you're a light sleeper, you may struggle with the noise outside, particularly on the first floor. I spoke to reception and was told that all of the standard double rooms faced the road. I opted to downgrade to a single room on an upper floor at the rear of the building. It was so much quieter and more peaceful enabling a proper night's sleep. I would recommend the hotel if you have a room that faces the back as it is a lovely place.

The hotel is very nice and breakfast was wonderful. Our bubbler /spa tub did not work or we just did not know how to use it and once in…kinda late to call for directions. When you walk outside of hotel … first impression is area a little sketchy… but we actually had no problems even walking our dogs…and few blocks away the town is fabulous! I give it 5 stars for kindness and breakfast lady who makes best hot chocolate 10 stars!

First impression of the receptionist was very negative. no smile, poker face. We got a room on the first floor, which was I think for handicapped guests, as the bathroom was equipped with some special accessories for handicapper. The toilette flush was not working, so I had to use a trash bin and fill it with water and clean after myself. I informed the receptionist and he said they cannot do anything. tomorrow the plumber comes can can take a look into it. I had to contact hotels.com for support. and the day after they gave us another room, with no apology, no compensation. I do not recommend this hotel at all. Location was OK. breakfast was very basic.

We were a couple staying in this hotel for two nights, and it was suitable for a short stay.
