An absolutely lovely hotel with comfortable rooms and wonderful shower, good breakfast but very disappointing that the bar and restaurant closed at 6pm - that wasn't made clear on their website. Parking was easy once we actually found the entrance to it circled the hotel 3 times looking for it !! The only real negative was that there was no air-conditioning and not even a fan and temperature was 28 degrees. After the first night of sleeplessness - options of either open windows and all the street noise of buses and dump trucks etc or suffocating - we requested a fan and was promised one would be put in our room but when we returned after 6pm - no fan and of course no one on the premises to find us one.

Atmospheric quirky hotel. Retains convent feel. Nice staff; good restaurant at night. Note it doesn’t do breakfast but good cafe nearby. No reception before noon. Good base for Bilbao - on commuter line to central station , one hour trip with regular trains .

I loved my stay here. I had the superior double room, which was beautifully decorated, spacious, and clean. The bed was very comfortable, and I enjoyed the snacks and coffee that were lovingly provided every day. The exterior is unique and gorgeous. I did not have the chance to eat at the restaurant, but I enjoyed eating a peaceful lunch outside at the tables. I recommend this place 100%.
