Parking on site Room and bathroom ok Beds not so good

Arrived and nice room. Said it's non smoking but stank of fags. It had been recently decorated and the decorator must have had a few! Shower didn’t work so reported it but nothing got done (stayed 2 nights). Apparently they have a new dart board and from 8.30pm - 00.15 all you could here was...thud, thud, thud as the darts went in. Second night much better as it only lasted till 10pm. Breakfast.....eventually. It seemed they had to wake up the chef. No breakfast table made up so you could choose yoghurt or cereal. Full English wasn't much to be said, but on second morning I actually got extra meat rations courtesy of a nat or 2 nestled on my fried egg! Tried loading a picture but this site isn’t allowing me. I stay in various hotels all up and down tje country 2-3 times a week and this is not a place I will be visiting again. A couple of Americans were also staying and they too were not impressed!

This is possibly one of the worst, most depressing hotels I have had the Mis pleasure of staying in for quite some time. The hotel is not really a hotel (or not at least where we were housed) but a room in an old house opposite the hotel which is really just a HMO. The room was small, tired looking with 80’s furniture and decor. The mattress was old and needed replacing at the shower the size of a small telephone box. The hall to the room was also very dull and uninspiring which is the ‘hotel’ was priced at £40 for the room I wouldn’t be leaving this review but we paid £78 and that didn’t even include breakfast - which was a further £15 each per head or £12 if we paid upon arrival. The only appealing quality was its location and the fact it had a 24hr bar - which we didn’t use as it looked very uninspiring. The staff were all also slightly odd that we met when we arrived and another couple had an issue with their payment. Our payment also hasn’t been taken ahead at our booking the room stage with hotels.com which is odd for the website and just generally we felt that the ‘hotel’ was just a cash cow for the owners with no investment or though about the comfort of the guests. When we told local people we were staying at ‘that’ hotel they said it was the worse in town but when we looked on line, others nearby looked even more uninspiring so who knows what that says about Maidstone? This is a budget hotel which should be priced according!

Well situated for town centre with good bus links from outside to Tonbridge and town centre. Basic hotel a little dated but good size rooms, large car park and very good wifi.

Overall my only issue is the lack of Lifts and a air conditioner but this is England full stop would love to come again or recommend to friends

Place was tired and outside was not very well kept. Also post code took me to a place down the road which was empty but had the Hotels name on it

Well it was clean ish, the service was just a tad above non existent. The room was super compact, think like a big lunch box, the carpark was full. Probably wouldn't stay here again , ever.

The property is undergoing a refurbishment and was evident with some works going on. Whilst facilities are 'tired' it all worked and will only get better. Staff are friendly and helpful and worked hard to ensure everything you needed was done efficiently. Compared to other properties in this price bracket, it had that personal touch and friendliness that made up for hotel needing a refresh, would stay again, especially after refurbishment completed. No EV charger here or nearby, useful but not vital.

Only stayed for one night as we were only in the city for 1 night but room was clean, all amenities worked & did the job for crashing there for 1 night. Nice bar area too which is always a bonus when you like a drink.

We stayed only for 1 night and it was enough. All the hotel must be renovated. The bed was not comfortable. In the bathroom there was not the light and wasn't clean. We are sorry but we don't recommend it.

Stayed in room 11. Riddled with bugs!! Bitten all over. I nearly lost a finger with the swelling. Had to get ring cutoff. Hotel not bothered to even contact me. They really don't care. I will never stay there again! You have been warned!!

The shower was freezing cold, the room smelt like an animal had been kept in there and not cleaned properly. And the bed was very uncomfortable. The door handle was hanging off which made accessing the room hard as when you push the lever down the entire unit moved. Overall very disappointed as the online images look good. But when you compare £60.00 a night to a premier inn or travel lodge- I wouldn’t waste my money there again!

A lovely looking Hotel, but the fixtures and fittings are tired. No shortage of cobwebs and dirty windows inside and out. Public areas Carpets were really dirty. Limited Menu but the food was really good. The Hotel has recently changed hands, so we expect the new owners will get to grips with these things. Otherwise comfortable and very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble for them.

Staff not readily available, Rooms weren't clean with stains on the throws and sheet in one of the rooms, very dated all round, cheap towels that although were clean were washed out, we didnt feel safe in the rooms, even the 2 taxi drivers we used to get out of the hotel to eat questioned why we were staying there as not a great reputation, would certainly never use again or recommend, we do have business in the area so will look at alternatives for next visits

The hotel is not at all like the pictures online they must of been taken a long time ago. The room was small didn't looked very clean. The radiator was on and was missing the valve to turn it off so we asked at reception they said they would get someone to turn it off but nothing happened it was still on when we returned so had to sleep with the windows open which then was noisy. On arrival no one was at the reception we had to call the bell and on leaving today the staff were unprofessional with there feet up on the desk not very good customer service really. Especially saying you will get something fixed tben it doesn't happen. I never write feedback like this it was the worst place I have stayed in many years.

We used this hotel as a basis for our attendance at a wedding nearby. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I was slightly disappointed by the wonky window in the bathroom, which required brute strength to close. for a 3-star hotel, it was basic but still a good place to lay our heads and the staff was very friendly and helpful

Work in progress - staff friendly and helpful - you can tell they are trying to improve things but still a way to go - walls paper thin - you can hear everything next door , above or below so take your ear plugs

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, however the propert itself could do with some general upgrades to the decor and bedrooms.

Excellent value for money, staff were very friendly and helpful, big rooms with all the facilities you’d expect. Bit outdated but as expected from the photos and reflected within the price. Room was warm given it was -5 outside!

Very noisy party music . Rooms not soundproofed . Woken up by very loud neighbours having very loud sex - bathroom door doesn’t shut - no heating

Nice looking exterior, room was small and stuffy. Needed to air it out when I arrived. Asked for a bath and was told I’d have a room with one but ended up not being the case. Limited power points but the wifi was good. Room wasn’t cleaned during the day but we mustn’t have put the sign out in time (had it on the door at 11am when we went out).

Felt like there were two members of staff in the whole place. Reception was unmanned on arrival, with no one in the bar area either. Had to ring a doorbell left in the bar area to get attention. On check out there was some scruffy guy behind the counter who barely raised his head to acknowledge me checking out.

The main reason for the poor review is the absence of any staff members at check in and checkout. We had to wait on arrival. Had drinks at the bar of the hotel, which were wrong and therefore almost undrinkable. On our return from our evening out we were greeted by a security guard. However, after several minutes of our arrival there was a huge violent confrontation in the room next door which spilled out onto the corridor and we feared for our own safety. We barely managed to get any sleep as the perpetrator returned some time later and that was capped off with an altercation in the car park, which we backed onto. I waited in the morning to feedback but there was nobody to help us.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food I had was average but sufficient. I found the hotel clean comfortable but feel it could do with an update. Overall it was convenient and suited my needs.

We where over the road at their 'other building' which is not staffed and given a front door key. The toilet was blocked, window latches broken and handles on side and bin in bathroom left full. I complained and the staff member was lovely and changed our room. The new room was cleaner but a double mattress on a kingsize bed frame and the room was dusty and had light fittings missing. Not a pleasant stay and would not return. Only saving grace was the staff.

Shower didn’t work in the room, mould on bathroom ceiling and in shower, bed mattress cheap, thin and uncomfortable. Convenient location for where I needed to be but next time I’d stay in the travelodge. £6 a pint in the hotel bar was a good price though

Poor condition of room. Breakfast served incorrectly twice. Probably the worst hotel breakfast I have been served

The cooked breakfast was only adequate and significantly overpriced for £12. A £12 breakfast should include mushrooms, black pudding or a salmon option.

Dining fine but no breakfast Wednesdays and nothing near by.

Room was very basic and tried, lots of stairs , which was not said in advertising , very limited dining , only 2 starters and 5 main meals to choose from .

This hotel looks nice in the pictures and I stayed for 1 night there as I was in the area. It was cheap in comparison to others but there are reasons for that. There was no one at reception when I arrived and the barman had to come across and check me in. The room was dreadful! It was about 130 sq ft which included the \'bathroom\' with a full or single bed. The bed was very weird and was wobbling around. The mattress felt like it was about 50 years old and was sagging and very uncomfortable. There was obviously no room to move in the room with about 14" at one side to be able to access the bed and up against a wall on the other side. The \'bathroom\' was dreadful as well although it had been tiled at some stage within the last 20 years I guess. The faucets on the basin were old, dirty and the basin looked old and grubby. The shower was almost impossible to use and was over a tub that is about 4\' long. The faucets for the tub and shower were old, very grimy and looked like they are from the \'60s. Hot water took a long while to come through and as there are faucets rather than a mixer almost impossible to get a decent temperature. Water pressure was practically none existent and after struggling with it I finally had to give up and not shower. Restaurant has an online menu which is nothing to do with what they actually had available. I had the roast lamb which in itself was OK but not great, and the vegetable were overcooked with soggy roast potatoes. All tasted microwaved. AVOID
