Castlemartyr Resort Hotel

This place was amazing...beautiful property, excellent service. Valet parking, concierge service....i felt spoiled and pampered. Driver gave us a ride to Hunted Hog for dinner and came back to pick us up. Breakfast was.sooooo good!

Ein echtes Fünf Sterne Hotel mit wunderbarem Garten und einem sehr luxuriösem Zimmer. Einzig der Pool und das SPA entsprachen nicht dem Standard - es waren viele Kinder und es wurde unentwegt vom Beckenrans gesprungen und gespritzt. Aber alles andere war toll. Auch Parkservice für das Auto.

Hotel is nice. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Food is really high quality but overly expensive. Breakfast is fabulous. Bar is very disappointing, no atmosphere in it whatsoever and drinks are a ridiculous price. Our room was very small and poorly lit but bathroom was very nice.

The property is magnificent! Beautiful to walk around, there are trails through the woods and abundant wildlife. Really spectacular.

Loved our time at Castlemartyr. Beautiful location for our daughter’s wedding. The staff was so friendly, food great, rooms lovely and lots to do, including spa and golf. Highly recommend!

Overall excellent, the place is dog friendly and we had a fabulous room with private garden. Food in bar could improve and dinner in canopy could be better and offering no sides with main meal expect mash potato needs improvement. Breakfast in canopy could improve, jambon wasn’t great and pancakes were poor. The pools jacuzzi wasn’t working which isn’t great when paying 5 star prices. They left lovely bed and treats for our dog how loved her stay.

Lovely hotel valet service on arrival and a lovely welcome glass of processo ( nice touch). Deluxe room very nice and laid out on floor 3 of the new wing with nice balcony. A few scuff marks on furniture needs updating but overall lovely. Nice ballon and bar of chocolate left for my birthday (thank you). Only downfall throw no fault of hotel there was a lot of families with kids and at 10.30 pm at night and from 7.30am they were running up and down the halls this should not be allowed so the hotel should have a policy on this. It’s not fair on other residents as we are all paying 5 star prices. Food for dinner in canopy is excellent and we ate in the club house which was also nice. Breakfast was ok (our worst meal) it was abit scattered and busy and the cook to order omelette was poor but eggs benidict was nice. Also tray of jam had all the same this should be mixed! And more effort to self service table for variety of cooked meats and cheeses / bread. Grounds are lovely for walk or cycle. And near the village. I used the swimming pool and feel it’s needs cleaning you can see green on tiles and some chips and thermal areas needs updating slightly. Overall lovely stay in cork just some minor changes needed to keep in line with other 5 star hotels we have stayed in Ireland such as adare manor, trump doonbeg and Europa Kerry.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The facilities are great, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent throughout. While some areas are starting to feel a little tired, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. I really enjoyed my time here and will definitely be back!

Beautiful property, clean, great staff. While we were visiting, there was an Art Exhibition inside and outside of the property. The only problem is that there aren’t a lot of options for dining outside of the resort.

Hotel is amazing, room was stunning and very well presented. Grounds of the hotel are unreal too. Great place to go to get away from things for a few days.

The views on the property were amazing. The location was great. The food was great. The staff in the Canopy restaurant/bar were amazing. Beautiful rooms. We loved the property but were disappointed with our check in. Upon arrival, at check in time, we were told it would only be a few minutes. It took almost an hour. That’s not the end of the world but worth mentioning. My biggest concern was cleanliness. On multiple occasions we had to ask for clean silverware as the ones given to us were nasty and the teacups were never clean. It was disappointing that such a nice, high rated hotel had these issues.

Ich habe ein Junior Suite gehat. Es waren tote fliegen fast 15 stuck im wohnzimmer. Wir haben dass an Housekeeping und Rezeption gemeldet aber keiner hat drum gekümmert. Auch im Restaurant die Frau am abendessen im Restaurant war, war nicht freundlich. Zudem gab keine Vegetarische Gerichte was man bestellen könnte. Das einzige positive war die Bedienung morgens im Frühstück .

Het hotel is prachtig gelegen. Personeel is heel voorkomend en aardig op een ontspannen manier. Ze geven je echt het gevoel welkom te zijn en voor je klaar te staan. Complimenten! De kamers zijn ruim en luxe, de stijl is een beetje saai klassiek (moet je van houden). Qua akoestiek is er wel wat te winnen. Je hoort de mensen in de kamer boven je goed lopen. Gelukkig zaten wij op de 2e etage in het gebouw naast de feestzaal, zodat het bruiloftsfeest slechts in de verte te horen was. Het is daarom verstandig om naar een rustige kamer te vragen.

This resort is stunning. We absolutely loved our stay here and would definitely go again! The rooms were well equipped and spacious - bed was not the most comfortable, but fine. The grounds are beautiful and the food was delicious - in the nice restaurant and at the pub! The service was slow sometimes but it did not impact our stay. Highly recommend!

It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We enjoyed their restaurant choices. The hotel has a beautiful setting. Rooms were very spacious.

A really good hotel, great service especially Paul, Victor and Diane in the restaurant who made us feel very special, highly recommended.

Our arrival was really disappointing. After traveling 12 hours, we arrived a couple of hours before check-in. I had emailed beforehand to inform them of our arrival time in the hopes that we would be able to check-in early. Our room wasn’t ready which we took well given that we were early. No problem we went off to get something to eat and explore a bit. We were gone for a little over an hour, the exhaustion coupled with the time change got us, especially our 5 year old. We went to sit in the lobby and watched as other guests arrived early and were able to check-in and go to their rooms. At this point, we really began to get upset. Why were these guests able to check-in? There was no offer of a more comfortable place to wait or vouchers for a drink or bite at ok of the restaurants, pretty standard procedure in a case like this. We continued to wait, past the designated check-in time. Close to 3 hours waiting. We were finally given our key cards and sent up, relieved to finally be able to rest only to arrive and find that the room wasn’t ready and someone was still there trying to finish cleaning/setting up. We felt so bad for the fellow, it was his first day he told us, clearly very nervous. So, we awkwardly stood at the door, as the poor man rushed to finish. Why had reception sent us up? No real acknowledgment of this situation, not acceptable at a “5 star” hotel, especially not acceptable when you book one of the nicer/expensive suites. Not 5 star hotel lack of attention

Little hiccup as we arrived with the room but staff were brilliant in sorting it out and gave us an upgrade and a complimentary drink so can’t fault them…. The rest of the stay was first class…. I will be back:)

Wonderful resort all around. Highly recommended. Only negative was loud patrons partying at 2am one night. When staff were informed next day they apologized and offered some compensation for our lack of sleep.

Ratify property - wish we had been able to stay longer. Checking in though, the girl at the desk thought that the woman with me checking in was my partner, rather than a travel companion and was quite rude until she realized the other woman was also checking in with her husband.

Concierge service, amenities. Ambience, service are top notch. We will visit again.

NOT A FAMILY HOTEL!!! They will put up with children but there is not much for children. The food is oddly terrible, could easily be fixed but they make simple mistakes with every meal. The reservations and front desk team are truly awful. I do not recommend you make the effort to stay here

We had a fantastic stay in Castlemartyr for a birthday celebration. Check in was seamless and staff were always at hand to help.

Beautiful and quaint. Book dinner reservations early and in advance. Not much in the immediate area for late arrivals. Overall, a gorgeous place.

Liked everything about this place and would highly recommend if you want to be away from bustling city and nightlife. Wonderful art collection, good food and drink

Beautiful resort. We were able to relax and enjoy the peaceful scenery. Driving is the best way to get there. If you need to use public transportation, be ready for an adventure!

This is a FABULOUS property. Gorgeous grounds, rooms, gardens, trails, and public areas. Sculpture Garden and castle ruins were ethereal. Knight’s Bar was fab. On the “other” side of the ledger—we were unable to get into any of the food outlets, and instead had to dine at the Wednesday BBQ. It was a bit tired, but food tasted alright. That was the ONLY thing that took away from the experience.

Another wonderful stay at the Castlemartyr Resort ! It never seems possible as you leave, but each time you return the offering seems to improve. We received an upgrade to what are already some of the most comfortable and spacious hotel rooms in Ireland. We also enjoyed a visit to Terre, their 2 Michelin Star restaurant. Based on that experience, I suspect they are well on their way to a third star soon. The resort really is a place apart - recommended.

Canopy dinner experience was disappointing. Wait time for food service exceeded one hour. Food in general was disappointing. Drinks ordered were delayed. Would not recommend.
