When I arrived there was a complete muddle with my booking. My room had been assigned to someone else!! They said I was not listed as a guest and had I actually booked at another hotel. It turned out that my name was on the list but had been crossed off, when, what should have been my room was assigned to someone called Ross. I was kept standing around in reception while this mess was sorted out. I had just driven up from Liverpool and I was not impressed by any of this. Apart from this initial foul up the hotel was a very pleasant place to stay and I had a lovely breakfast on the Saturday morning before I left. This hotel is really convenient for access to Carnforth Station from which I travelled on an excursion to Whitby.

This has obviously been a grand place in days gone by. Loads of wood and a beautiful ornate glass window on the stairs. The room was comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast was very good. The bar was a bit of a let down - poorly maintained. The food there was hearty and reasonably priced.

Lovely room, very clean, very comfortable bed and everything there we needed. One small criticism, the wet room could have benefited from having a shelf or something to sit toiletries etc on

Stayed for 2 nights the hotel was clean the staff where great and the beds comfortable, only real issue was the quilts on the bed they are way to heavy so not the best sleep as way to warm , but the hotel is perfect for a couple of nights very central with the station just across the rouad
