The Woolly Sheep Inn

Thankfully had a room overlooking car park, so it was very quiet. Room; secure entrance, clean room, fresh milk in fridge. Hotel centrally located, so parked car and walked everywhere, car park was free, had a barrier and plenty of spaces. Breakfast: a lot of eggs on the menu- would have liked a pancake or pastry on offer. Omelette was amazing- good selection of fruit juices and cereals.

Stayed two nights, Fri/Sat. Bit noisy up until about 11 but it's a popular pub so not unexpected. After 11 it's as quiet as a graveyard. Slept like a log in a comfy bed and breakfast was first class. Would Definitely use again if ever I go back to Skipton.

Our room was small and basic, but it was alright for us as we just wanted somewhere to stay for the night. It was clean as was the bedding and en suite bathroom. There was the usual hot drinks and fresh milk provided by the bar staff. The staff were polite and friendly. The breakfast was very good (english cooked) and there was a choice of cereals, yoghurts etc. Secure parking is at the rear of the hotel and is included in the price and is accessed from a small narrow road around the corner from the hotel. Our room was on the third floor, so there was quite a few stairs to climb. There could be some improvement in accessing the car park when you arrive. You have to stop in front of the barrier, then get out of the car, go into the bar area of the hotel, wait for one of the bar staff to attend to you (they might be busy serving someone else), obtain a "token", then you go back to the car and put the token in a slot so the barrier goes up. At other places we have stayed at with a similar set up, you just press a button at the barrier and it goes up. The hotel is in a superb location, right in the town centre.

Superb breakfast and restaurant food, attentative staff. Onsite parking a bonus.
