We recently stayed for two nights as a family with two small kids. The beds were comfortable, the staff were great and there are loads of facilities for kids, which definitely makes it an easy place to stay with a family. A special shout out to Joel and the team at Ember – what a fabulous restaurant. We had a fantastic dinner there and it was definitely a highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, our first dinner at Sublime was the complete opposite. The three pizzas we ordered were terrible – soggy and tasted like they were made using frozen bases. Breakfast buffet was alright, decent spread, it was $42 per adult with the kids eating free and with fussy eaters, it was a good option. The biggest disappointment was the indoor pool area, which really didn’t feel clean. The hot tub had a noticeable brown ring above the water line and there was mould around the pool overflow channels. It looked like the area was overdue for a thorough clean. The actual size of the pool was great though and there was a sauna too. Overall, the hotel is run down and could really use some attention. Given the cost, I think we expected the property to be in better condition. The excellent staff, Ember and the range of kids’ facilities were the definite upsides.

The hotel location is amazing, there's lots to do and it's very spacious - the rooms are lovely and big too. The staff were all super friendly and professional, but I think a bit overwhelmed with the business of the school holidays. The hotel is a bit dated, overall, the common areas are not well maintained, also the breakfast variety was rather poor for $38pp. If you're there to hike the national park, it's a great place to be.

Parking extra now at $15 per night unless an Accor member, ice scaring for kids is extra, pool and gym are a good place to spend some time with the kids everything else is at extra cost. Movie nights at the cinema is also free to kill sometime. Amenities are great to keep kids busy but take some extra cash with you as it will cost.
