Very friendly staff and a lovely modern looking pub/restaurant. Room was clean and comfortable with a decent shower. Evening meal (game pie) was very tasty and reasonable value. Shame they don’t offer breakfast but this was clearly explained beforehand so no issues. Recommended and would stay again.

Location was easy to find with ability to have dinner after arrival. Easy to get into Bury St. Edmunds and back to RAF Lakenheath if need be. Close to several gas stations and highway. Room was very clean, roomy, and very quiet. Only stayed 1 night, but definitely would stay again and could easily do several nights. Next time, will try pub downstairs.

Lovely atmosphere in the pub restaurant when we arrived, super comfy bed and very clean room. Only a few minutes from the venue where we were attending a wedding, very convenient and the staff happily help us arrange taxis.

Just a one night stay but made very welcome. Room was spacious, clean and beds were comfortable. Excellent choice of food, which was of a very high standard. Great bar and garden area. Would definitely stay again.

Great bedroom - let down by the bathroom. Cobwebs hadn’t been cleaned for years as there was dust in the cobwebs….,not sure if they will come out in the pics. I forgot to take one of the extractor fan! On a busy and pretty noisy road Great staff though and a good food options Did choose a very strange concoction for my meal which included fish , chorizo stew with Thai coconut potatoes ( yes - all in one dish) Ate it all as I could have eaten anything after a very long day No breakfast available at this hotel - at all. Ok with that though personally.

Booked 3 rooms (have stayed here previously), very friendly, rooms good standard, comfy bed, my only negative is the state of the toilet, needs some severe bleaching! Other than that excellent.

Nice touch with water in the room but feel bottle should have a cork in it also a coaster fo the Glass , was in room at front which had a lot of Road noise I know this can happen maybe secondary double glazing would help

This in is wonderful. The rooms are tight and furnished with older furnishings but it was very cozy and clean. The area is quite and the staff at the resturant and bar were very nice and helpful. I would stay here again if in this area. It was a unique and pleasurable experience.

Meal was lovely, unfortunately no breakfast, or suggestions where to go. Room great,lots of lights, room, comfortable and great clean bedding. Nice big mirror in the bedroom too. Towels nice white and fluffy. Only negative is the noice from the road through the night, could do with improved glazing as it’s a main route for trucks

Was running late and had phone call to check if I needed food as kitchen closing at 9pm. Got several options as I arrived just after and food was delicious and great service. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely friendly hotel with a homely feel. Staff always make you feel welcome and give you the best service. The reason I stopped staying in large branded hotels as they can’t hold a candle to local coaching inns and pub restaurants.

It is very easy to get into Bury St Edmunds without a car, as the bus stop for the 84,86 service is next to the Cadogan Arms.with buses every 30 minutes. The staff are all very helpful and polite too. Plus such very comfy mattresses and good sized en-suite bathroom. The food is very good and very well presented too. Would I use the Cadogan Arms again certainly.

The absolutley only thing I can say negative is our room faced the road and it was a bit loud. That is not something in their control, so all you can do is request a room not facing the road.

Nice tidy place to stay, no breakfast was a bit of a let down. Evening meal menu was limited but high quality.

Nice tidy place to stay, no breakfast was a bit of a let down. Evening meal menu was limited but high quality.

Very friendly staff and a lovely modern looking pub/restaurant. Room was clean and comfortable with a decent shower. Evening meal (game pie) was very tasty and reasonable value. Shame they don’t offer breakfast but this was clearly explained beforehand so no issues. Recommended and would stay again.

No breakfast is a deal breaker for me. The place was very nice and evening meal excellent but they do not serve breakfast even though I selected that as an option when booking but apparently I was sent an e mail after my booking to say no breakfast.

Stayed one night whilst on business in Bury St Edmunds and what a great find this hotel was. Very cosy with great amenities and a cracking menu and drinks choice. Cant fault the service and really looked forward to the breakfast as i have a letter start to my day….. but no breakfast service!. But that would not stop me from staying again.

Just a one night stay but made very welcome. Room was spacious, clean and beds were comfortable. Excellent choice of food, which was of a very high standard. Great bar and garden area. Would definitely stay again.

Fabulous stay !We were welcomed in a friendly manner by a pleasant young man and the whole experience totally exceeded our expectations.Food was superb as was the wine,, Very highly recommended.

Overall the Cadogan was very good, staff lovely and food and drink quality excellent. However, we were visiting over the hottest few days of the year to date and whilst steps had been taken to provide fans the rooms were still very hot and uncomfortable. Furthermore, my room faced the front of the property and main road. There is a traffic island immediately outside the property and the road is also fairly narrow and uneven. This means, unfortunately, that lorries do tend to 'trip over' the island repeatedly during the night and it sounds like they are shedding their loads each time! If you are a light sleeper then be warned it can be very noisy.

The facilities are good and the rooms are well provided and clean. The food in the restaurant is excellent and of high standard. There is a range of spirits and wines in the bar, and the beers on tap were nice. Car park was ample for the area.

Stayed here a few times now. We always have an evening meal here and it is the best food by far. Staff are amazing too. Just gutted they don’t do breakfast but fully understand with the cost of living 😊
