We had some issues dealt with by the hotel at the time. I found the hotel rather cold but others said it was cool but ok. The breakfast was amazing and the location was excellent for the M5, Bristol, Cribbs Causeway, the docks and Weston Super Mare. There is no lift but the stairway is shallow and has handrails.

The room was spotless with all required for a one night stay. Booking in straight forward very pleasant receptionist. Stairs were a slight problem and no lift but we managed. Great parking and very nice hotel.

Easy check in. Nice appearance of hotel. Great bathroom and shower. Great value room. Comfy bed. Not too noisy despite proximity to main road. Things could have been better - car park turning easy to miss and not well signposted - some damp patches on room ceiling - if leak fixed please repaint! - car park driveway has a divider which is easy to miss in the dark - ended up catching it with my wheel. Could use a reflective bollard on it or something.

Currently surrounded by scaffolding and on a busy road but internally very clean, comfortable bed, good lounge/bar area, good breakfast and convenient location to access motorway. Would recommend.

Pleasantly surprised and relieved at the value for money this hotel offered for a Friday and a Saturday night. Fixtures and fittings were virtually new, bathroom modern spotlessly clean and plenty of space in the room. Bargain breakfast buffet eat all you can for £6.95 is brilliant value. Staff were super friendly. On-site parking for free is a Godsend. The only issue I had was the building on-site - the floor directly above was being renovated so in the day time there was dreadful noise pollution. I wondered if this is why my room (129) was cheaper?

We stopped over for one night with our two kids and our dog. The staff could not have been more friendly, and they were very helpful in giving us advice about places and events to check out in Bristol. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were glad we had booked one of the rooms with air conditioning as it was a warm night: we had cool air in the bedroom, and thanks to underfloor heating our feet were still nice and warm on the tile floor in the bathroom. We were impressed with how dog friendly the hotel was, with water bowl by the front door and treats on the reception desk. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable time and great value for money. We will be staying again!

We had breakfast at the Almondsbury whilst stopping at the Swan. It was very good, so it prompted us to stay at the Almondsbury on our next visit. On the surface the room looked lovely and clean. We ironically decided to eat our evening meal at the Swan hotel as the atmosphere was gloomy in the Almondsbury! Background music would have helped. When we went to go to bed we were horrified at the state of the mattress. It was badly stained. No mattress protector under the sheet. As it was late and not wanting to make a fuss we put towels under the sheet so we had a bit of protection. Such a shame not to take more care with the most important part of the room!

This hotel has been refurbished really well. The staff were friendly and efficient and the room spotless with a comfortable bed. Enjoyed the food and drinks and there was ample free parking. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed here a good few times now. Check-in this time was much better. Room cleanliness continues to be an issue, dirty toilet this time. Under the seat had not be cleaned, pretty disgusting! Aircon not working in room so reliant on a fan heater. Hotel has so much potential but not the best right now.

Great property, small room but fine for one night stay. There was no air con in the room which made the sleep quite terrible. Second guest fell ill from the heat. Windows opening were limited. Hotel provided a fan, but the room was already too hot. Claire on reception was great though and accommodated us where she could. Would be perfect if we had a cool room.

Lots of free car parking and easy access to the M5. The exit from the car park is a little dicey though. The hotel have been updated since my last stay a few years ago and the prices reflect it. Unfortunately it seems that the soundproofing wasn’t included in the upgrade work and there was a lot of external corridor noise inside the room including a noisy connecting door that obviously hadn’t been dampened to prevent it banging. The internet was intermittent and kept dropping out. The room was superficially clean but I noticed that there were soap marks on the back of the bathroom door. The air con although effective was on a timer and kept switching off. A pity as overall the room decor was modern and appealing.

A really good basic hotel 20 minutes from Bristol centre. From the outside it's clearly an old hotel which has had a remodel but the room was warm, clean and modern. Lost a point because the sofa bed (we stayed in a room with our child) was really uncomfortable and the rainfall shower dropped on you when having a shower with the handheld. Not massive issues but it's still over £100 a night so I'd expect the little things like that to be better. Staff were lovely. The breakfast was good and restaurant area had a nice atmosphere. Would definitely use again if I come back to the area .

A ‘cosy double’ means a double bed that fills the room. Fine for one person and there is A/C, although also strong-smelling air freshener. An iron and ironing board in the room were unnecessary when there’s limited space. The room is superficially OK but there was no mattress protector and the flat sheet didn’t cover the whole mattress. And the carpet needed a good vacuum. The room shakes when doors slam in the corridor, and the next room’s plumbing sounds like it’s in with you. The creaking from above is loud too. Also could have done with another ceiling light over the bed.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Room and dining area both immaculate. Breakfast had a great selection. Great value for money. Only one small issue was the room was a little noisy. Would benefit from soundproofing as you can clearly hear floorboards creaking and people walking past the room at night. Not a massive issue though and we'd definitely stay again.

Nice hotel and rooms are modern. I think more staff needed in the kitchen for the evenings. Twice I’ve stayed here and both times 45 min wait for the main meal to be served. Best to go the pub next door for a meal vs the hotel restaurant.

Molly who was on reception this morning was outstanding. She was handling a busy Sunday morning with a warm smile and positive attitude despite the rush. I tried to tip her but she humbly refused and we settled for me writing a review. I hope Molly is appreciated for her excellent service. Even though the facilities were remarkable it's Molly's hospitality that I will remember above all when deciding where to stay next time.

Overall good stay, staff very friendly, food nice when it finally arrived, think the chef was under pressure as a few people in the restaurant, mine came then the wifes meal came 10 minutes later

I booked online for a friend the room and the receptionist told him that he must to pay for staying a night and he must to sleep in the car in colder night on a winter time but he have a reservation already. Bad service

The issue with check in was that the printer was down? We, along with another guest had to wait around 20+ minutes not knowing what was happening. The receptionist offered what seemed to be a complimentary drink. We had a beer but then another staff member asked for payment. We paid to avoid an issue. Everything else was really good and dog friendly also, would stay again when visiting family in Bristol.

Currently surrounded by scaffolding and on a busy road but internally very clean, comfortable bed, good lounge/bar area, good breakfast and convenient location to access motorway. Would recommend.

This hotel suited us perfectly for a short stay before flying from Bristol airport. It was easy to find and easy to get back on the motorway to finish our journey to the airport, iwould recommend and use again when flying from Bristol airport.

Perfect for solo travel as a wee bar and cafe made arriving after 7 easy. The reception staff are the most helpful and genuine I have come across. I have not stayed here before but i will come back when i have a car .Not ideal for train or bus travellers as it is a good few miles out of Bristol centre.

Nicely renovated hotel. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was varied and excellent- I travel a lot and would definitely sty again. Thanks for the friendly hospitality

Nice hotel and rooms are modern. I think more staff needed in the kitchen for the evenings. Twice I’ve stayed here and both times 45 min wait for the main meal to be served. Best to go the pub next door for a meal vs the hotel restaurant.

Evening meal was awful. Dirty glasses, tables not cleared or wiped. Room was lovely, bathroom perfect and comfy beds.

Overall good stay, staff very friendly, food nice when it finally arrived, think the chef was under pressure as a few people in the restaurant, mine came then the wifes meal came 10 minutes later

Clean and comfortable stay but the buffet breakfast was not good at all. Came down at 8.30am and obviously got the dregs which sloppy and unappealing.

Easy parking,room was large and clean. Staff very friendly nothing was never no trouble. Food excellent best pizza ive had better than pizza food outlets.

We were met by very friendly staff . The room was just right for what we needed. Tea/ coffee facilities which are important to me . It is dog friendly. I would definitely recommend it. I wish they had a dog bed on request but that is all really . Breakfast was lovely a very good choice ..

Hotel was perfectly comfortable and clean, looks a bit tired from the outside and a bit of a dumping ground in the car park area. The breakfast was nice but the hot food was lacking some items and took ages to come. Overall fine for the price.

I chose this as an inexpensive hotel in the right area, and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were helpful, my room (for one) compact but clean, and in a heat wave, cool. Bed v comfortable. Small bathroom was likewise compact but clean. Breakfast was available, and also a gym. Also dog friendly, though I didn't take my dog. I would be happy to return 🙂

Stayed for one night at a solo traveller with an early start next morning so couldn't sample breakfast, but having eaten the previous evening a decent well cooked burger meal I would guess the breakfast is also good. Staff on reception were very friendly, cheerful and helpful, they also manned the Bar. The room was well decorated and comfortable with a decent modern bathroom. My room layout was a bit awkward in that the TV could only be viewed from the single tub chair, so if you stayed as a couple you would be stuck. I fed this back and they acknowledged it and suggested they would seek to improve. Individual room Air conditioning was a real bonus. The Bar had plenty of seating, a pool table, dart board and board games. Food and Drinks choice was good, but a better Real Ale/Bitter would be appreciated. I would certainly stay again if in the area.

Halfway through the night a fire alarm and evacuation of the building (3.45 am approx). Genuine reason for evacuation, no problem with the reason for the evacuation, but there was no talk of halving the bill. I spent more time in my vehicle trying to sleep than in the bed I’d paid for
